This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Description
Raider is an old-school platformer experience that will consist of five separate episodes, eventually.
You play as a character called Arkus Zei: a 'space pirate' who makes a living by searching for loot in abandoned wrecks of dead spaceships and such.
It's meant to be DIFFICULT, and it's meant to be simple and straightforward; there are no gimmicky features or unnecessary frills, just basic platformer goodness. You can jump, shoot and slash and that's it, and all you have to do is get to the end of the level and beat the boss. Simple. Or is it?
There are also hidden 'relic' items for you to find, and you get a Rank at the end of the level based on your performance, adding replayability.
How to Play
IMPORTANT: The controls can be CUSTOMISED! Just click on 'How to Play' on the main menu, and there you'll find a 'Configure' option.
Use the Arrow Keys to move.
A, S and D are the other controls.
SPACE pauses the game.
While paused, use ESC to return to the main menu.
Use Z to skip dialogue, and ENTER to skip the cutscene thing at the start if you don't want to read.

this game made me pull out my hair, caused three bouts of blind fury, and made me want to throw my PC out the window. I LOVED IT!

This is really cool man. I'm certainly becoming a fan of yours. I actually found this because I looked at your profile and saw it. I'm also a huge Mardek fan, that games awesome too. I may only be 17 but I grew up on SNES and still remember and love those games. Keep doin what your doin man, you are doing a great job

Wow, someone who isn't afraid to make a game hard. The difficulty is excellent, the gameplay is great (old NES and SNES platformers FTW!), and overall, I had lots of fun playing this game. 5/5

Also, I am really glad to see that the game has attracted a few people who actually do remember the good old games which were actually challenging, which you could play for ages without really getting anywhere because you kept dying, but when you did, it felt like such a satisfying accomplishment... Modern games, with their instant gratification and 'Death is a slap on the wrist' mechanics don't really have this same feeling...

Pesudo, you're brave posting this somewhere where a lot of people didn't gorw up playing old games. The uneducated bastards need to go out and get an old nintendo. xD Dude, why weren't you getting paid for this earlier in time? If this was the standard for 8 bit games back in the day, things would have been soooooooo much better. Build a time machine. seriously.
