Achievements should give much more morale, esp. the later ones. I can get more morale clearing level 1 on normal with a fighter than I get from most achievements.

Fun game. Love the old school pixel style and the straightforward game play. I also like how if I run into something I automatically strafe left or right to move past it instead of dumbly bashing myself into a barrier. From what I can see this game is fairly solid. 5/5

I'm not sure if you'd count this as an oversight or not, but if you transform a boss it keeps the creatures health that it turned into, not it's normal. If you transform it once it takes out a massive chunk of its health. After that it's basically taking on a slightly more dangerous than normal enemy.

That awkward moment where you get spotted when you don't want to so you use blink but end up in a group of enemies you can't fight yet so you die. :(

This is so much fun! I hope Kong adds some achieves for it! Like punching a dragon to death. I feel like that's achieve worthy.

Idk why but my framerate is so laggy and sometimes I hit the right arrow key and it moves me twice or won't respond at all. Anyone got tips on how to make the game more smooth? Even the rotating dog loading icon jumps around rather than completes its super fast circling. I really like this game and would like a smoother experience. Only thing keeping me from playing it really.

Maybe we should be able to use our characters that didn't die to fight in another map? It gets tedious when you have to collect the same items and get the same skills every time.

But I still missing some inventory. In 1st chapter it had 13 slots, I think 5 will be enough: sometimes you need to look for further loot to decide what to wear (like choosing faith/int according to spells you will find). Also, It'd be like to see the items' bonuses (not only mine with this item put on) when picking up a new one - it's an easier way to compare them, to my mind.

I am sure all votes <4/5 are from people who find this game too hard (and it definitely is). Anyway, this game, without any doubts, is the best rogue-like game ever and deserves a 5/5. You just need some skill and understanding of game to play efficiently.

There is one missing feature I neglected to mention all this time, and that is diagonal movement. But if I try to type it in one paragraph, it'll be huge and nigh unreadable, so go check it out on your profile comments section.

Could be nice to have endless mode(unlimited randomly generated levels with scaling difficulty) so we can try to max characters,i guess it would be fun.

Great game, 5/5! I just ran into what seems to be a problem for one of the maps. I am on Act 3-6 and there's no portal to the next stage. I just keep on wandering and more mobs appear with the message "Keep exploring!"

Right now, my biggest gripe with the game is that the jump in difficulty from Normal to Hard is too big. I can beat Act 1 on Normal 75% of the time. On Hard, I can barely make it to the third level before dying.

Minor bug: If you teleport away one of astorans lieutenants, he has a chance of landing in his chambers, taking his key with him.

I've played about 10 times now, and so far the only viable character is the soccerer simply because sometimes you just wont find a weapon and you get stuck with the very first weapon of the game while being on lv 4~5 of the act, the only character that does not depends too much on gear is the soccerer

Yeah.. i like the game but it's to difficult , i like difficult i played EoS:Skyrim on Legendary and finished Dark Souls many times. But then again... all those games offer you rewards and means to beat the odds.
In this game all you get are lame perks and starting equips , which probably help you like 5% maybe , and thats it. You get no rewards , no special classes or more helpful perks or skills. Just a little money to buy the lame perks and equips.
I give 3/5. Solid game , but it's just way to difficult and lucky based with some classes, pointless perks/starting equips and no actual reward by finishing levels.

MMorwen, the biggest challenge in this game is that there are very few opportunities to heal during a level. Your goal, then, should be to avoid getting hurt in the first place.

Something that has bugged me is my inhability to sell potions... I think that it would be nice if we could sell them.

How about adding in the ability for all characters to sprint? If you hold down Shift and press a directional key to move into an empty square, your Speed stat is boosted by +100% for that turn. However, this is only a desperation tactic in combat; after using one turn to sprint, in the next turn, your Attack and Defense are both reduced by 10%, and each skill gets -1 preparedness. These penalties accumulate with each consecutive turn you sprint, and fade with each turn you do not sprint (except skills, which cool down naturally).

I'm having a great time with this, but I'd love to see more done with the Fighter. As is, it's basically just a Paladin without cool skills. I think it'd be cool if the Fighter got some sort of equipment-based bonuses that set the class apart from the others.

It might seem crazy, but I actually spare the unarmed citizens in the third act, even though I have no reason to believe that it might have some kind of tangible gameplay benefit. Well, unless I'm the paladin. Then I just gleefully slaughter them.

I cannot seem to get the flash bomb to work with the thief. All other powers work. But flash bomb does not seem to trigger in any of the different circumstances I've tried.

@kaocre: Thieves are maybe a little weak, but mostly they're just counter-intuitive. Trying to sneak up to enemies doesn't work very well because their random movements makes it take forever and gives them a chance to bump into you randomly--instead, you want to get their attention and then duck around a corner to pop Shadow Walk. Then you want to get a big, heavy, slow weapon with high damage to bonk them over the head--you don't need speed on your weapon because you can get it from armor and class boosts and you don't really need attack (although it's nice) because your sneak attacks are autohits.
