How about an option in the scavenger's interaction window to attack instead of the current set-up? That way the legendary dagger doesn't screw you out of purchases AND then you can still fight him if you don't have a special attack to make him hostile.

Thanks. Also with the legendary dagger's auto-lunge ability (sorry, the name has escaped my mind), attacking the scavenger becomes the only option because when you move towards him, you automatically lunge and attack him.

I used Uppercut on an enemy standing next to Asterion's gate; the enemy was knocked back and the gate opened, but I only had 1 key.

You need some 'aggressive' ability or item to target him with.
Fireball, arrow, Vital Strike, powder bomb etc.
Dispel and sleep powder and possibly few else doesn't seem to trigger him though.

DARK ROSARY... DAMN.
Talk about new dynamics...
I'm really no expert but it does seem OP to me.
Had rather meager run as Paladin, consecrated meh weapon late, some stupid mistakes...
But as long as you have this stuff and heal, you're fine - just beaten suicide 3rd act easily.
170 frackin HP just forgives so many, many errors...

Scavengers prevents thief from shadow walk, even if they are not hostile. And Nova scroll+Vampiric health ring is insta win for boss level. Also Act1 boss become way stronger after map shrink.

there is a bug whit the "dark rosary" object, i died and then continued (spending the morale) and now i simply have 300% of my life without losing any point and having the healt bar filled at the end of any room.

this patch deepened unbalance. pugilist, the strongest class can kill scavenger in the very first stage if you want to while thief, the weakest can't. if by any chance thief found a good stun skill in the first stage, it's still really hard to beat scavenger.

This really needs some kind of online save. I love that it keeps getting updated, but every time I come back to it I have to start over with earning the classes again thanks to the extreme impermanence of flash cookies.

Please, PLEASE change the mechanics of, or put diminishing returns on the "daze" spell. It's absolutely ridiculous for non-ranged classes.

18 hours total time played... "Oh look new achievements! New items!" ...time to break 24 hours. Glad I added this to my favorites so I get notifs. :D

@Sickography: You have to use a item or skill on him to fight him. Sucks if you're a fresh fighter, thief, or paladin. Hopeful there will be a "Attack" option in the future when you talk to the scavenger.

So in 1 suicide run I learned that:
Killing a scavenger will grant you a item and a great amount of exp, yay me.
The 2nd scavenger you will meet in the same run will warn you and increase his prices, so again a free item and exp for me.
The scavengers after the 2nd...will have no mercy. They will be in stealth and bumping into them even when fighting a mob can get you rekt.
Scavengers = Karma.

Mirror image+polymorph is a sick combo. Fun times with multiples inspiration procs and the spell that summons elementals for gold. Killed those scavengers hard and cleared A3 hard mode with it quite easy.

So does the scavenger always drop loot when he's killed?
The fact he gives good exp and loot makes him so risky to kill since he's very strong.

Any chance we could have the option to disable Auto-Pause? I run this on an old computer a lot and when I leave the screen to do something else while things load, the game pauses instead of loading. With this being a turn-based combat type game, I don't see a need for Auto-Pause.
I'm really enjoying the game though!

I wonder...
Why only a pugilist is a goddamn gorilla that throws books at people instead of reading them?
Why I only find 2 tomes in one game while playing said gorilla? Haha.
Would be great with any other class.

Somehow, my progress was wiped out yesterday. Morale and in-game achievements are reset to zero. Unlocked classes are locked again. Was that an update? This is rather unsatisfying.

Just when you think you're out you pull me back in Randomnine, which I don't mind in the least. On the other hand I've upgraded to a better computer after the old one crashed, however, I won't mind this too much after I reunlock all the classes. I wish kong had online save services lol.

Here's a message I got from Randomnine (the developer) about the upcoming updates!
Just a heads up – I started work on 1.04 properly today and I’ll be putting it online towards the end of this week. I’m still figuring out what I can fit in, but I’ll definitely be adding some new super-rare equipment items and making it so you can enrage and fight the Scavenger.
Then next week I’ll be starting work on 1.1. It’ll add a new endless mode, a new character class, probably some new perks, and a couple new features I’ll be revealing along the way. That’ll be along next month.

I don't recommend using teleport away on the dragon boss. He got stuck or something and then I couldn't kill him or finish the act.

crossbow city guards should have less speed because alot of the time they get 10 or more shots in because of my speed
