Aensland: the explanation for what you experienced would be that the opponent did a defensive block against the spell which was the opponents weakness. Defensive blocks are explained in the game, but it's only mentioned once in the beginning, there's nothing like an always-accessible help-menu in this game... i'll rate it when i'm done playing..

great idea for a game, but you failed to follow it through, the combat system is pure crap, how the hell does does switching panels cast spells? its just repeated over and over again, giving no enjoyment whatsoever. the only okay thing was the art work. Terrible, 2/5

you attract a crowd expecting a action game with that name, try changing the name and attracting a puzzle hungry crowd for your puzzle game.

Needs more freaking explanation. Transitions are TOO SLOW. I'm trying to like the game here... WTF damage, you hit it's weak element and do single-digits, then you die and retry, suddenly you do okay dmg with the exact same strategy. I don't like screwing around in the dark like this: explain the goddamn combat rules. Right now it's all like random and lots of luck. I'm slogging through the game because I sort-of get a glimpse of interesting bits, but if it doesn't improve I'm gonna have to bury it. 1/5 pending fixes.

I was really loving the game up until about the second battle. I really love the artwork but the combat I dislike. I suppose it's personal preference but I would prefer to see my character move and just generally be kickass. The puzzle game didn't really cut it for me. Well made though, and for fans of the genre, I hope you enjoy.

Like others have said, there's a lot of potential here. The core battle system is sound and definitely has room to grow. The towns are obviously placeholders for other actions that just haven't been developed yet. I'm looking forward to the follow up.

Good, liked the battle system, but would also like more spells, and more to do with your money than simply rest. I'm pretty sure this will come out in the next one. good job.

Interesting game but gets repetitive rather quickly. Most people that played bejewel will feel at home but there are much less varieties here.
Btw if you are having problems, the key is to perform combos and denying your enemy's attack by matching their attacks for your defense.

Sucked. So. Bad...If you ever lose a fight you can just go back and fight the monster again. You destroy it easily. That's all this entire game is.

I find the battle system interesting. But the rest is boring. Villages sitting around for no reason. Monster weaknesses where your suppose to leave out the resistant against element and make sure to use the weakness if you can.
But sometimes I click too quick and I miss what the strengths and weaknesses are. So I have to guess, and sometimes slowly die as I wait to get a second chance.
The bare bones have potential. But right now all it feels like is bare bones.

knock of the lord of the rings story line. starting with the evil soccerer. being kill long time ago by good so does Sauron geesh
that storyline is use in almost every adventure movie/game/book out there (Voldemort, Sauron, Ganondorf... the list goes on and on.... and on)...and on. :P

OK, played it all the way just to give it a fair shake. Nice graphics, but little else. OK play, but I can see how you can go back and forth forever. No point, and I did not need a cliff hanger, thanks.

When I began this game, I thought, "Nice! It's like Puzzle Quest! But with moving pictures! Neat!" When I played it though, I was horribly disappointed. Listen to Redsnake, my friend. You have a beautiful game, but a horrible one too. Play Puzzle Quest and you'll get an idea of what direction you should be taking this game.

My honest thoughts we are beta testing this. Heres why I think, the towns "rest" is because we are not supposed to go to full health at the end of a fight. 2 because poison comes up but theres no card for it. 3 the enemies scale down in difficulty if they beat you, which will probably be taken out once leveling is put in. 4 theres too many towns but they do nothing yet. 5 just because its got a great story and art but NO substance, just feels so incomplete. This will be a VERY good and addicting game when its done, I thought they should have waited to put it out when its completed, cause now it will just get low scores from people who dont see an uncompleted game, but just a game they think is dumb.

There are new spells if you patrol the area. After you've cleared all the paths to green after reaching the castle, you'll head back to castle for your new spell. This is first in series.

like most others have said - needs to have spells or something more availble in towns, otherwise i guess im just earning gold to rest lol
