It's highly polished and nice looking, but it's biggest weakness is a lack of a main menu, a lack of controls, and a lack of instructions. It's trying to be so intuitive that it explains itself, but failing. Still, 4/5 for being pretty nice. Maybe 3.5/5 would be better.

really great idea! i like the combination of puzzle and rpg. with some more diversion it could be my favorite.
some suggestions:
1. losing a battle should have some bad effects (maybe losing some gold or starting next fight with less hp)
2. spells could have some other effects than just draining hitpoints (maybe stunning, poison or removing defence/critical)
3. animations could be a little bit faster
4. some more quests would be great
5. an upgrade system would be nice too

This game was like "Puzzle Quest" that i played on my xbox, i loved that game. This game is a much easier version, Still like it.

Oh, and I agree with Zebediah - I couldn't find a point in deviating from the shortest path. What are all those other villages for?

Awful. The graphics are okay, but somewhat distracting. The spells are retarded. Heal? How does protection from HEAL work!? I spend half an hour trying to figure out how to play, then realize the dude who says he'll give me a spell DID NOT GIVE ME A SPELL. How this got ON to the leaderboard I do not know, but it doesn't even DESERVE to be on KONGREGATE! God!

I second the pointless gold comments. And you should have consequences for losing a battle (all it does right now is reset your health to 100, so it is advantageous to die sometimes!) And I kept expecting to learn new spells...

There's no substance to it! It's just turned-based bejeweled, pretty much. 2/5 for now, i'll raise it if I see things like character development, new/stronger spells, level system, etc.

It has potential, but is too slow.
I played it for a bit; couldn't find a way to get new spells/power/health. IDK if that's an option, but either it takes too long or it needs to be added.
I also saw no point to most of the villages; I went off the path once to see if I could get anything... no result.

Like this game.
Its a good candidate for tomorrow's card & badges.
But, can you put an utility to gold, and also, a quest book, because what to do if you don't go on ?

it is also incredibly unfair that when an enemy makes a defensive block it protects them until you use that attack but if you do the same it only protects ou for one turn

I've twice tried to load this game, only to see a purple screen for a long time. If the game is loading, it needs a preloader, if It's not, well, then I suck.

You really need to make it a more even mix of rpg and puzzle, it would give gold a point, give the game more depth and all that fun stuff.

Its fun at the start but gets boring fast, I suggest leveling up, learning more spells and maybe allowing us to pick a character.

if you are rested you do more damage, will see about getting the icebolt/lightning issue fixed.
there are not enough uses for gold, i agree, am looking at what i can do in order to improve that.

this game has potential. just a few things - the icons for 'lightning bolt' and 'icestorm' are too similar - i keep swapping to make 3 only to realise it's a mix of these symbols. and also...wot does the 'rest' option in a village do? it seems to take gold off but not do anything. and, wot is point of gold? i haven't been able to buy anything with it to upgrade. am i missing something?
