Very mixed comments here. There is story and character development, but it is a little too slow for most people's tastes, and a little more depth other than the ability to gain the odd new spell now and then. Great potential, the general consensus, but it does give the impression of being unfinished.

i agree it is repetative
but still a good game
and it gets addicting after awhile
if it had level ups and add ons
then it would be a straight 5 star
i gave it a 3

Has potential. Maybe some magics should do something to the cards in play (i.e. shield bash drops 3 cards).
Also, the gold should have another use, like buying spells and/or spend in special characteristics.
Still, a nice game. 4/5

I agree. Great potential, but it fails to make a point the "adventure" aspect because there's no adventure to it. Just the same repetative game with no changes in difficulty or character.

Potential is definitely the key word here. The game is beautiful for Flash, the animations are great, the general concept is really fun, but there are 0 incentives to keep playing and no way to further your character as far as I could tell. Addictive for about 30 minutes until you realize you're not actually getting anywhere! 1/5. With some simple tweaks, it could become a 4/5. Ridiculous, I say!

I had better expectations. The game just makes me want to throw my computer at the wall and shoot myself in the head.

The gameplay could be developed greatly, it has a lot of potential.
However currently, strategies are too simple.
The story is also way too short, and the fact that you can not lose the game... oh well.
If perhabs spells with different attributes, or different systems like the WoW talent system were put in the game, to make it a real RPG I would definately try it again.

If you don't rest than your attacks become weaker, you do less damage. As for patrolling, I have patrolled the whole map talked to the guy and nothing happened.

main problems: no volume off button, no explanation on many things (like, go to blinkin' cities and then patrol the whole map), and I didn't understand what sleeping in cities is for..

Honestly, this game sucks. Was a good try though, with a few major tweaks, it could prove to be somewhat entertaining.

Ok, I went back and tried to win without "special" or darkslinger magic, but was unable to beat the magic trainer. Apparently there is only 1 path through, which requires you to use the special magic. Without a Part 2, or better background / story. I have to say that this game is a railroad with no real flexibility or fun.
