I'm starting to enjoy this. Took a while to get started, well still am starting, but it looks like I could easily waste a fair bit of time playing.
One thing I have noticed though, sometimes when I got to save, instead of saving it will discard an item from my inventory. Often a shovel or a flail.

I enjoyed the game. Cleared everything out with a Cleric Main, 3 fighters and a wizard. 4 of 5. Couple of bugs - at some point, the chests stop giving out scrolls. Also, every now and then, when entering an upgrade facility, the "Who wants to read this scroll" dialog pops up. Scrolls stay in inventory even through save and restore - this allowed me to save scum +5 hp scrolls until I had 300 hp cleric at level 1. Good game, needs an ending.

I have created a level 1 wizard. The wizard now has 2 mana, due to adventuring. Do I need to search for mana, as if it is an item? Get lucky and have some randomly spawn? Rest and recuperate? What? There is nothing in the help section to provide any sort of clue as to how my wizard can cast more spells.

i found the game really easy but very good 5/5 faved though you could make it so that there are new maps maybe traveling fees and make like a standard stat thing like if i was lvl 2 i could only make all of my stats up to double of my lvl so like 4 int until lvl 3 than i can have 6 int since it costs money to train stats your obviously going to wait and maybe stronger monsters and a drawing map that costs like a lot of money
for instance if i went into a crypt and went deeper and deeper i could walk in circles but a tiny map could be very helpful

Despite the fact that I just lost almost all of my progress due to the Main guy dying. I will still go 5/5. Will not play again as there should be an auto-save of somesorts. Also could use more in depth options. I'm also giving you the 5 because you are actually reading comments and that's cool. Good job. I look forward to your next attempt.

ah never mind i went to do the very southest of them i completly did every single one BUT that one all the way (including graves)

I believe everything works now...I think you're trying to load an old save file before my last update was installed and that probably screwed up your save file...sorry about that! There are less bugs now! You can start a new game, sorry!

fun little game. Seems hard to stay alive at first, but once you fill up your party with 6 PCs it gets much easier. Great music too.

Feature Request: Armor
There are 10 diff. types of armor (Or however many you choose) that are ranked 1-10. Heres an example:
Rank1: Cost: 100g armor:1
Rank2: Cost:300g Armor: 2
Rank3: cost: 900 g armor: 4
Rank4: cost: 1000g Armor: 5
And so on and so forth, where The armor ratings = how much damaged is reduced.

Discovered New Glitch:
i really shouldent tell you, but...
If you have any potions in your current game, make a new charecter. After you make the char, the potions from your old file will be in the new one. (This is how i get so far)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes Capture needs to change somewhat, maybe something like you're thinking. Right now there is random encounters out in the forest area...the higher your Dex skill, the lower the chance of a random encounter though. KevinL, yes I see the bug you're talking about, I'll get that fixed soon I hope.

Bug: i tried to hire a wizard and the game instead had me start a new game. as a wizard. tried again, same thing happened. help?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Another idea: Random encounters. Not the ones setup by the game, but after X many moves, you get in a random encounter. The level of the monster will depend on the area.

ruddellc:
I dont see much of a point of a capture spell if all the monsters worth the mana are non-catchable. I see how your trying to limit the capture abillity, but its a waste of mana. Heres an idea. Give the monsters capture levels. Give a capture skill level to the players' charecters. this skill level goes up as they level.
EXAMPLE:
Level 1: Automatically there
Level 2: Get to level 3
Level 3: get to level 6
level 4: get to level 10
Level 5: get to level 15
Please tell me what you think of the idea A.S.A.P.

ok, fixed the so-called death glitch (now you see all the hits that killed your character) and hopefully fixed the flee problem also, even though I never did see it happen. Keep posting any bugs that you may run across and I'll try to address them. Thanks. Enjoy the game.

Part of the problem is that the guards and other strong creatures get multiple hits. But if you're killed in battle, it only shows the last hit you took, even though you were hit say 3 times by a guard. So it appears as if you were hit for 8 points of damage, when really the guard hit you twice before that hit and the total damage was enough to kill you. I'll see what I can do so you can see each hit when you're killed. Then that way you see the total damage taken before death, and not just the hit that killed you. So the game is doing what's it's suppose to do, you're just not seeing all the information you should when you're character gets killed...sorry. I'm not sure about the flee bug though, I haven't seen that one..I'll look into that.

The death glitch. Fight a town guard / dino / vampire/ knight or some other strong creature and flee. it says your dead. To get alive without losing progress, save your game and then load it. you will be alive. NOTE: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON LEGITIMATE DEATHS.

DeathD - I almost never play as a fighter and I think playing as a fighter is hardest. Funny how two people can play the same game and have such different experiences.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Your forced to play as a fighter in this game... clerics and wizards get obliterated in one fight... but its a so-so game. It has great potential. (Death/chaos knight class pl0x? =))

One more thing. In almost every D&D style game in existance, Wizards primary attribute is Intelligence and Clerics mainstat is Wisdom. It's reversed here.

I like it. I'm a big fan of dungeon crawl type games and I see potential in this one. Keep expanding the scope of it with more monsters, classes, magic and options (eg: nethack type wand of polymorph, curses, special abilities, etc...).

When you drink giant strength potions, that character gets a bonus to his attack for the rest of the battle. His strength does not change. Healing potions take affect right away and your hit points should update.
