The graphics are really pretty, well done, I'd be happier if more games looked this good. But the gameplay is mind numbing. Placing blocks as fast as possible is the only way to have enough power to win, so there's no time to even click on a unit and read the info panel, let alone use any critical thinking. The game boils down to deciding placement and then dropping like blocks on top of each other for several minutes. It doesn't even pass for a match three game since those involve organizing through limited movement rules, in this you just look what you got and drop it. I finished level 4, got another new unit type that doesn't seem to be worthwhile, I'm seeing the problem that other people are describing with more unit types weakening the army, so I'm done playing. 2/5, at least it's good looking.

in levels where the enemy are only coming from one side, you should have some room behind the mine, so you can build blocks there and place them with the rest later.

There's one pretty big bug: at some point after either a cerain upgrade or if it is the level "Swamps", the mines block stops working. Before then it would be throwing mines out everywhere. For the past three levels it just sits there, even after leveling it up.

good game, gets a bit confusing sometimes, especially on the split levels.3/5
could be better. 4/5 is my best rating, cus everything could be better.

Suggestion: The shield should carry over when modules combine. This way you can keep stacking while being defensive and under fire. Great game. 5/5

Fantastically creative concept but it needs some polish to fix balance issues and make a little more strategic possibility for the player -- seems too tight and too punishing right now, with too much determined by random chance and not really giving us a chance to be clever. 3/5 but I look forward to a more developed sequel -- the match-3/TD hybrid is a really clever idea and you seem to be most of the way there.

too many blocks. nearly impossible to start the level. ur lucky to have 2 blocks at ll 1 by the time the enemies start showing up

Very fun and interesting game, But you should be allowed to choose the kind of block you want to put down. But other than that it is a very good game :D

Level 6 ... i got all stars from the levels before and many towers on level 3.
No problem, i play 12 minutes very easy, but the 8/8 wave crushes me like I got nothing... wtf ?

Based on what I've been seeing in the comments, and from what I've experienced, in-game, perhaps many, if not all, of the problems being brought up would be taken care of if there were some kind of line-up of modules that you could pick, yourself. Say, for instance, you can only choose 5 modules to take with you into each level. You could even mix it up a bit with the difficulty by adding a "challenge mode", a version of the game in which there are a pre-set variation of modules that a player must use to complete each level. it seems, to me, that this would take care of A LOT of the micromanaging needed in the game, and would prevent us being left with a ton of low-level modules scattered across the map.

could be better annoying blocks dont attack till lvl 1 also flying enemies are hard to hit when all blocks are out of range add platforms

Rather nice improvement of your typical Match-3 game; solid graphics (love the topological look of the map) and game-play, but could definitely be improved. As Mistermind said, the upgrading in being allowed different modules can sometimes work against you; perhaps an upgrade or selection to allow only certain blocks (with a minimum to prevent being too easy) might be a good idea. But more so, I would like the viewable area to be greater (even if you can not place bricks to the end of the screen) so that you may see incoming enemies and utilize your additional powers against them. Overall though, nice work, keep it up.

ehh, they tell you how to build at the beginning, but you get so little matching blocks you really cant upgrade much and everything is taken out in 2 shots and you just get dominated

OK, some sort of balance on starting blocks. Just got run over as I was given lots of heals and anti-missles but could not get even a single offensive weapon enabled before the ground attack.
Game needs a lot of balancing.

Ok, I thought of something that would really make the game a lot more fun - auto-placement. If you shift+click to drop a block, all further further blocks of that type will automatically drop at the same location until you shift+click a new location or alt+click to cancel it. I think that option allow would make this a 5/5 game for me.

If i pile the same blocks onto thier own towers I must have the maximum possible fire power. If I make a mistake I can just move the wrong block to the correct pile.
Its like Tetris with no skill.

Hardly managed level 4 and now stuck at 5, the difficulty is crazy. The screen is much to small to make full use of the range of blocks o.o

Like other people have commented I think this game has potential but misses the mark. It's not very fun due to the fact that micromanaging the blocks is frustrating and tedious. Additionally, I think it's too difficult. I'm not sure what strategy I can use that will help me defeat the large swarms of flying explosive drones. My weapon range isn't very good and I get overrun pretty easily.

Needs a back to menu button if you fail a wave, also really difficult to rebuild your defenses in 3 seconds when the giant ape creatures smashed the last ones to pieces
3/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just too much ennemie on screen, the flying one are the worst. The weapons are just too slow and don't deal enough damage against this kind of swarm o_O

good game, needs polish. for starters, you should be able to choose which blocks you use, so since there is 10 total blocks, maybe make the player choose 6 of them to take to the next stage. allow upgrades to go higher then 3, this allows for more customization for a player and allows him to try different strats. when you highlight a tower, should show a highlight circle around it showing its effective range. cant count the number of times i placed a fully upgraded block set, to only find out its out of range.
also it seems the fully upgraded minelayer doesnt seem to want to work.

I second Mistermind's comment. The sheer number of blocks I have to deal with after unlocking a few of them hurts me more than it helps. Adding a "loadout" screen that allows us to select which blocks we want to appear would be a simple fix and earn a 5/5 from me.

Nicely built game, but I find it just doesn't work.
I'm fine with needing to place blocks next to each other to upgrade, but the fact that they can't do anything until then is kinda crazy to me, since enemies come in these huge swarms. Sometimes it feels like a downgrade.
Also, a huge swarm of baddies at the end of each level? Fine, just don't have them be guys that do insane damage to your towers, stop you from making them actually work, and also come in insane numbers and immune to mines.

A rather interesting game, a kinda of cross between a normal "defend the tower" type, and as I pleasantly found out, Bejewelled, which I enjoyed alot when I was younger. Very much an interesting Match.

The best strat I have at least for now is to make sure I constantly build. don't let the line get full and you should have no trouble. move things around as needed and don't panic.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The concept of the game is great, but what really kills it is the complete inverted feeling of progress in the game. Basically the more you evolve, the more modules you unlock, thus making it harder to concentrate upgrades in only a group of them since you are constantly being fed with more and more unit types. What should be a feeling of "upgrade" ends up being a downgrade downgrade to the gameplay as you progress, which also makes nearly impossible to complete early levels since you end up with a huge line of low level modules. If I had any chance of seeing a high level module chances are I missed it on early levels.

This is pretty lame, not gonna lie. People need to stop making spin-offs of tower defense games cause I'm sick of them. come up with something completely original, and not just original in the sense that it's unlike other tower defense spin-offs.

Wow for the first time ever I am 3rd comment... hmmm what should I say? Miami Heat!!! D-Wade baby!!! Now its time to actually play the game :)

Even if it sucks to get hit by a comet, at least it was kind enough to be razor sharp and take a nice clean piece of the ship with surgical precision. Its always less fun when they just blow you to pieces and scatter you across the cosmos.
