This game, the ending in particular, reminds me of one of H.P. Lovecraft's tales titled The Outsider, in which a man escaped from a dark place and finds out he is some sort of monster. In fact, the entire Deep Sleep series feels very Lovecraftian, focusing around an ancient yet unknown and equally incomprehensible anomaly, only to find out that the protagonist has unknowingly belonged to it the whole time.
P.S. The monsters look like buttholes with sharp teeth.

Such a great game. So well made and very atmospheric. Even the sound effects are very well put. I really enjoyed this. Keep it up.

I went back and played the Deep Sleep and Deeper sleep before playing this one and that jump scare at the beginning makes me contemplate my life decisions.

My cursor stopped changing color when I went over something that could be clicked on making it that much harder to know what to do.

scriptwelder games are among the absolute best on kongregate, no question. one gripe i have is that they are not difficult because the game itself is challenging, but because due to the pixel graphics it can just be hard so see items. i could progress for 15 minutes until i figured out that the light spot in the mushroom room was a tile. not just a hole in the wall.

All flash content will disappear from the web magically, never to be found again ? Well no, browsers will stop supporting it, that's all. There are already workarounds for that too. And seriously, WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT FLASH ON A FLASH GAMES SITE ?

Since some people need the help: 1) Anytime you can click something, the mouse will change color. 2) If the game is laggy try a different browser. 3) The 4 stones solution changes and you must check the paper in the desk room for the answer. If the hatch at the top doesn't open, go back and check again.

OK, so let me get this straight. The point and click game (Reincarnation: The Backfire of Hell) from back in June was changed out for another game for BOTD because Johanasgarden decided that game was too hard (though it took MAYBE ten minutes to complete), but this game isn't too hard? I had to use the walkthrough in order to complete this game. The Reincarnation games are EASY in comparison to this thing! 2/5.

Now this is weird... I'm at the point where you put in four stones to open the ceiling hatch and twist a wheel to bring it down. I've tried everything I can think of with the rocks, I've even followed a walkthrough on YouTube action by action, but I'm stuck.
Putting the stones in, nothing happens. When I click the wheel in front of them, it just says "something is blocking this spot".

I get the ladder all the way down, it tells me to go and I click on the ladder and nothing happens, then I am devoured... I was starting to think the game was broken but no it just buggy as to where I have to click the ladder. Apparently I am... one to them (a MONSTER) is where I am up to

GOOD GAME! My heart usually beats 1 time a second , but, in some moments of this game my heart beats 3-5 times a second . Best horror game I have ever played.
