Oh, I finally figured out how the "X" works. I kept pressing the "X" on the right side of the screen instead of the one on the left.

I find it ridiculous that I can mark squares that I had already put an X on. Sometimes, I accidentally pressed the keys twice and went over my intended squares. Still, if I've already put an X on it, obviously I know it's already wrong and I would only mark it otherwise by technical mistake.

Is there anything to this game or something I should click on or does it just have animal go back and forth for 5 minutes

By being a perfectionist, i want to complete the puzzle without any errors.. One bug happening, is that when clicking X on a spot where the X is going to be, it can be reported as red. (Wrong).
Quite annoying when nearly completed the puzzle and that happens. So would love for that thing to be removed, and instead leave the user to figure out where the error lies :) 4/5

Please make the music nto so loud. I habe my system sound on 4% to make it have a decent lvl. Almost blasted my ears when it started

There is a mistake in my example: "For instance, if you have a 10x10 puzzle with 6 2 in a line, you can safely draw (6 - 10/2) = 1 pixel from the mid of the line to both sides, plus (2 + 1) = 3 extra pixels to the left. The line would end like this: [ - o o o o o - - - - ]. I don't think I need to tell you to watch for the edge numbers that are easy to solve, right? Have fun!

Start marking X at zeroes, then go for the big numbers. The tip is: let H be half the number of lines (rounded down). For each number A bigger than H, draw (A - H) pixels from the mid pixel to both sides of the line. For instance, if you have a 10x10 puzzle with 8 in a line, you can safely draw (8 - 10/2) = 3 pixels from the mid of the line to both sides. The line would end like this:
[ - - o o o o o o - - ]
This technique can be used again any time you discard another line of the grid.
If you have multiple numbers in a line together with a big number, you can use the past technique and draw the sum of those numbers plus the quantity of extra numbers as extra pixels to the opposing side of the numbers. For instance, if you have a 10x10 puzzle with 6 - 2 in a line, you can safely draw (6 - 10/2) = 1 pixel from the mid of the line to both sides, plus (1 + 1) = 2 extra pixels to the left. The line would end like this:
[ - - o o o o - - - - ]

I would much prefer a way to mark x's with the mouse as I find the keyboard a bit clumsy. Can sometimes go one square too far on accident.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Space should change between x and fill. I also can't understand how the keyboard controls would be the recommended setup for controls. Clicking is obviously the better option.

This would get 5 stars from me, if it didn't force me to play _tons_ of really easy levels before getting to challenging ones. (And I am assuming they do get challenging at some point. I haven't reached it yet.)

When you get past the bugs (with keyboard, it often marks wrong squares, because the anims break the keyboard handler, and it inserts unpressed keys), it's quite fun.

Patronising "tutorial" that is VERY VERY VERY SLOW. If you hit "skip" it stops the whole thing. Did first level, but it wouldn't accept it, even though it was correct. Rating 1/5. This is awful.

Lol, I kept getting in trouble by holding space to put in the red x's only later to discover that space writes and red x's mean you get it wrong... There are also grey x's apparently that you access with "c?" key...

You know, we're playing on PC here, give us an option of setting up a hotkey to change between squares and X without having to always click that button.

can someone pm me how to get it to load? all its showing is the loading screen and animals walking across. help would be appreciated

I enjoy the game very much, but can you please make it so that you can't mark a square you have put an X in? It's very annoying for mouse play - one twitch of the mouse when marking squares and you make a mistake, even though you have marked the square with an X because you know nothing should go in it.

This is the second time I tried this game, and the second time I found the tutorial about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. It doesn't tell me what the aim of the game is, and that you don't have to put x's in the squares if you don't want to. It gave me the impression that I was going to copy a picture from the right hand screen to a board on the left. It didn't tell me what the numbers on the axes mean. I'm working out that they work in a similar way to minesweeper... IE if you have a 1, there's one coloured block on that row or column.
It would be helpful to explain those things.

just finished every puzzle :)
do we get badges when we perfect everything? only have 208 ( I don't know if it counts dailies )
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it's buggy, when you place a / in a spot that is 100% empty it marks it as red and takes some minutes of my time away

Love these type of puzzles, for many more variations and complexity try the griddlers website. Annoying that numbers grey out when 'conditions met'- when 1111 becomes 111, which blocks are counted? Let me use my own logic to solve, stop shifting numbers in the middle of my deductive moves.
