If you're gonna have a big dumb sphere grid knockoff could you at least let me see where I'm going so I can actually make decisions instead of blindly running off and hoping things work?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It is a good game but once you use the family traits, they stay active for the next round, then they disappear when you retire your hero next, rendering all of them totally useless.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Now that the traits are here, I'd probably like to see the overall percentage of perks that the traits give us. i.e. total skill profit increased by 200%
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Still no point to doing anything xp related past the minimum required to gain access to the next quest because around lvl 40 you will reset without using any of the high level quests.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the family traits seem to be bugged. Yesterday while playing I got some heavy multiplyer on almost everything on the left side, except int, and today int and luck have almost the exact profit gaining. Even after retiring a hero, the luck skill did not change to its profit that it is supposed to be

I gather the legacy tree is solely for the left side of the 'skills'? Not the advanced ones? Also, as others have indicated, the bonuses don't seem to stick post multiple resets. Also, I totally support the oft requested xp/sec indicator. Lastly, seems like you need to rebalance the skills. The initial ones really are meaningless other than as a way to raise your level. That said, it's strangely fun for such a simple idler. You have a lot of ways to take it forward. Grats.

Maybe changing the format the remaining time on skills is shown would be nice. If it would show "hh:mm:ss" it would be MUCH better than showing how many hundreds of seconds it needs before it completes.

I'm afraid something broke a couple of hours ago. The +900% bonuses don't seem to work any more. It might be something newly broken, or it might be because I have that bonus to both Str and Cha (same tier).
By the way, thank you for the game!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So... Legacy points don't work at all anymore. Not for traits and not for the basic bonus they used to grant. That's pretty lame.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Perhaps your level in a particular skill should affect the time it takes to complete a quest with it as a prerequisite.

Oh, a sphere-grid type system, well that's nice. Too bad I can't see most of the thing. Makes it kinda hard to try and figure out where I want to actually go with any of it without spending my LP. So then, what happens if I spend a bunch of LP and find I went the wrong way? Is there a reset in the works?
Good point. We wanted there to be a bit of mystery as to where the grid would end up... We will chat about it next week and see if we can come up with a solution.

These games all have the same problem. For me anyway. In the beginning there's lots to do. Decisions to make. Buttons to push. But then it's all waiting. first for a few minutes. Soon it takes hours before you need to push anything. *Yawn* The really good ones don't force you to just wait. You just have that option.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Every time you level you should make it so you get 1 LP so levels actually mean something then buff up the price of traits
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Another thing that could be nice would be if there was a benefit to not just using the same build over and over again. I started with intelligence, and the family legacy stuff just forces me to do that over and over again. Mind you, it doesn't matter much because as far as I know they are near identical paths.
Maybe reaching certain skill levels in certain skills could have an impact of a kind.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would probably make sense if skills reduced the time taken to do quests, even a little. As it is, I grab the low hanging fruits (easy to get LP) and then reset. A lot of quests aren't useful at all in this regard.
It would be nice if we could cancel quests, or if we could autoprogress through them. Right now, once you pick one you have to wait, and then you have to come back and start another one.

The game needs to have a panel with your family tree and you need to be able to choose the gender of your caracter. Quests should yield gold that you will use to buy artifacts and the artifacts you buy shoul be heredatory hence left in the family.
finally in the later stages of the game you should be able to play with multiple caracters like brothers and sisters!!!
Great game though keep up the good work!!!!!

Maybe you could add some kind of notification that lets you know what skills the later skills will be boosted by. For example, I only have agility, charisma, and evasion right now on my third generation, but when I hover over espionage it only shows those three glowing even though i know some other skills like stealth also contribute to it. Maybe you could have the ones that would help espionage glow before you make the selection between combat stealth and magic when you hover over the espionage button.

I'm not getting the LP for most quests either. If you do a higher level quest can you not get LP for lower level ones after? Not sure why, but only had a small # of LP to spend (30 or so) and doing more quests still not adding more despite doing most of the quests through lvl 200
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think the idea of the game was to go as far as you can with quests until you cannot afford them anymore. Then you go and spend the LP to boost your char to take on more quests. Eventually though the quests become expensive and you will need the extra exp from the traits to afford them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Are you supposed to do the quests in order, or just do the one with the most amount of LP available, because i'm levelling a lot faster than the quests complete.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yea, I've got the same Problem here. The 900% traits for the skills are buggy. It worked well for 2 oder 3 resets and now I lost the bonus for some of them.
You should look after this.
By the way, a nice start - and I'm sure it will be a great game after fixing such bugs.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The family traits seem to only be affecting the current hero and then when you reset the effects are gone. I reset and had 20 exp. per bar fill from str then bought a couple nodes and had the effect. I then reset and was back to 20 exp even though my tree has tons of nodes unlocked.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The LP gain from quests is not related to player skills progress, and even legacy gems giving sppedup are not improves it. It will be better if you make something like Quest-Skill relation, where skill level, or some other skill parameter, will improve quest speed or gain.

updates are good. But because of you can't see the direction you are going, you can unfortunately end up at an incompatible point such as me selecting Strength at start but gone the mage way..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'm not sure what happened, but my tree suddenly stopped working and my LP aren't doing anything. Strength is giving me 20 exp per bar fill instead of the normal like 100's of thousands at level 1. No idea what happened...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The stats dont match up with the family traits. When starting the game, I chose strength which is the top circle. But while spending my LP I noticed that path leads to an intelligence buff. What a cruel joke.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I thought that the purpose of the LP was that they would give you a bonus to XP earnt, or could be spent to buy permanent stat boosts in the family trait screen? Then, the player would need to decide between long-term small stat boosts for future generations, or having a bigger XP bonus in the current life?

The new Family trait system looks like it'll be a great addition to the game, but when I first went to take a look at a it, it froze my browser. Hopefully this is something that will be fixed pretty soon. xD Also looking forward to the new quest system, 'cos at the moment the most efficient way of gathering LP is to do just the 1st quest then retire, and keep building points 2LP at a time. It would make more sense if the amount of LP/min increases slowly with each quest, such as if they go 4mins for 2LP, 6mins for 4LP, 8mins for 6LP, and so on (for instance)...the LP/min ratio would gradually increase towards 1 as you progress throgh more quests, making them more efficient and encouraging you to do more quests between retirements. :)

The game info says it's been updated for the Family Traits but even though I've done a hard reset and refreshed the page it still says Family Traits hasn't been implemented yet.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When I go into the Family Trait part, all that's there is '0JP' in the upper left and the continue button in the lower right. Is there supposed to be something more there or is that it?
