It's remarkable how fluid the character animation is. I never feel like it's just repeating the same movement over and over because of how well the movements flow into each other.

You should also add soldiers on horses or something like that so enemies can become a bit stronger on the later stages because it's to easy otherwise. A new thing is also you can make the enemies became "enraged" and make more damage and become red or something like that.

Great game, nice update also but there should be a totem or something that can giva you a extra life if you die (so you don't resspawn from scratch)It could be expensive so it's not overpowered.

You can sell items by dragging items out of the inventory window. Skill points are used by talking to the mage lady in southwest part of town. Quests are given by the archer guy in the north side of town. I preferred the staves with the 10% hp drain. Along with the right click skill to root/attract enemies, this made any melee enemy / group fight easy. The space skill of teleport just made moving around faster. Late game (difficulty 5+ stars) I was focusing just bringing up crit rate, to match my dps with enemy health growth. I tried to find a weapon with 1. hp drain 2. crit rate 3. defense / max hp 4. attack speed.
In terms of improving the game, there's pretty high CPU usage when there are several enemies. The gameplay gets a bit tedious after awhile, it feels like I'm breaking more boxes than actually fighting. Consider having fewer boxes, but greater coins per box.

The mage and archer are not worth playing. They can't heal which means they die in 2 stages. The warrior can heal, which makes him the only one worth playing. Almost beat the map with the warrior, first try because he can heal. Also the combination of one handed weapon and shield is far superior to any two handed weapon. Block prevents a ton of damage.

Ok, seems like a nice.. prototype, or a very small game. I feel the game lacks content. I have maxed weapon, so I go to town and do what with my money? Open 1500 chest? Sure, But soon my slots are filled, so what then?

I like a lot of this. I spent quite a while experimenting and dying before I figured out your inventory and upgrades don't carry over after dying, so I had been "wasting" lots of coins. Once I figured out how to spend skill points, and had a strategy (just upgrade a range weapon - switch it out with a shield to heal between fights) the game got really boring really quickly. Too bad, because the graphics and interface are top notch (except for the funky aiming - I thought of it as you have to point your mouse at the "head" of the enemy so since boxes are so low you have to aim above them...)

When I die two times I lost the inventory crap and next time the two handed sword... - nice. And what da f... I'm doing with the lvl-up points?

"Your browser does not support any of the required graphics API for this content." Well, np: i go back to one of the 99.99% of Kong games i can play, eh ^^ Still I'm curious: what is this sooo exotic and exclusive API?

Yeah, game didn't save it when I had played for like 1.5 hours, leveled to level 22 and had to refresh the game since it suddenly just stopped working.
so reloaded the page and we are back to square 1.
well, game sucks as s then >:-(

Da block chance is yayayaya then what is defense? yayayaya too. That is so sad for melee weapon users that there are 2 ranged enemies stand together, then we die die die die lol

I'm lvl 73, I switch between the lightning staff and the lightning greatsword depending on the boss. I'm on a 8 star difficulty map with more than 80k gold. For the last two stars, I didn't bother collecting gold nor items. Just picked the easiest path through the map and cleared it since I knew I couldn't grow more.

The game has a lot of potential. I like that it takes inspiration from games like Slay the Spire. There are a few things that in my opinion, should be enchanted. The game feels a bit clunky at times, maybe making the character move faster would make this go away. Also, no music, the sound of the footsteps is the only music we got, which starts to annoy you pretty fast. I'd definitely play more of this game if you keep working on it!

Overall, the game is nice, with very cool graphics. But it is no fun to start all over again after every death. Especially when you die at 5 stars. Why don’t you add more maps and let us save our progress instead of making us go through the same maps over and over again.

After a few deaths I got the hang of the game. Eventually I got a max level dual swords and would just spin to win in groups of enemies for more experience. The bonuses you got in the game only stacked 5x each into the red color. I beat the boss stage on the 4 complete stars. No new progression besides lvl up stats. Items cannot be upgraded anymore, bonuses cannot be collected anymore. And the maps keep repeating so it is boring from here out.

Once you get the trinket/item that gives +2 healing per kill, the game is absolutely cake except the end boss which required some luck and skill (orc boss). There's also a skeleton boss that's easy as well. Ran through the game 3 times now getting legendaries and money and dumping stat points into my stats. Only put points into runspeed stat the first time around too, so it's doable.

I love the game, but once you get to a certain level (I'm at 25 right now and it's happening to me) the game turns easy, even the new levels are just not a match to my great weapon and upgrades.

One thing I would like to see is a rebirths system. Like, when you get to a high enough level, you can prestige, and gain more bonuses afterwards. I would also like a character customization if possible please.

Very fun game. I loved that death isn't meaningless and with your limited healthpool you are always dancing close to it. The only points of improvement are the very limited amount of different types of enemies and the fact that the game becomes a bit boring once you get full legendary weapons, full artefact slots and a high level. Keep up the good work!

Pretty cool... just frustrating that you can't keep any stuff after you die. Not really worth the time at this point.

Generally I had fun, it isn't an idle game which is always a plus. I got to 3 stars before I got bored though. There is no sense of progression. You fight the same enemies on the same maps and at a certain point you becomes completely overpowered. I had an over 50% crit rate on a crit focused bow with an insane attack speed and regen was high enough by the time I walked to new enemies I was back to full. Even the last boss I fought posed no danger as I just stood there and shot until it died.

One of the quests shows it is done but doesn't have a value and I can't redeem the quest when clicking on it.

There are bosses that is trivialized by one hand + shield builds, and there are bosses that is completely trivialized by bow builds. But loadout switches are completely unsupported. People invested in agility expected crit bonuses, got movement speed as 10th point bonus instead. People invested in quickness expecting for support in speed, but the 5th and 10th point bonus is utter shit and unrelated to speed at all. Everyone uses only legendary items starting from 1 star, but there is absolutely no way to improve items beyond that. Also haha two handed weapons are completely terrible. Zone layout are completely fixed. Lack of monster variety. The graphics are really surprisingly good but the game design is disappointing. I see that you are working on more updates so that's a good thing. Hope you take the time to refine it better because the core loop is interesting.

I finally got to upgrade when i died. ...and then couldnt leave the little village. Also, the magic staff doesnt break the barrels in town... not sure if those cant be broken or if the staff is messed up. Seems like this could be fun, but.... yeah... keep tinkering

Nice game, great graphics and effects. But why F for interaction key? Pretty much every has E as standard for that, why complicate? Also, since the graphics look so cool, you really should add full screen option.

War Lands Suggestions
no armor clanging sound while moving
add some music, but make it mutable
if the map only has one starting point I should not need to select it
an extended attack range for two handed melee weapons
just touching boxes or barrels breaks them

I got the reaper staff, which gain hp from 10% dmg. And it's a staff, which brings you anywhere quickly. I was so OP. And then I died, by 3 continuous traps. Just wanna kill myself lol.
Btw, these are the best weapons: katana greatsword with movement and atk boost, and bonus exp perks, fire greatsword with movement boost and heath regeneration.

Love the concept with you exception: Starting completely over each time you die really sucks. Maybe a save point or a start from last dungeon.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The game is fluid and the art is good, but otherwise it feels empty.
Only 10 kinds of enemies counting the bosses, always the same dungeon rooms, and nothing to make me want to do the same thing over and over.
The tutorial explains barely nothing (click to attack), the inventory is so void, I didn't understand before my 10th run that the artifacts need to be put on the 8 slots under the weapons.
I would say, it's a good start for a game but there is still work to do on it.

@MechaPants: I'm sure you just lost a piece of equipment that gave an HP bonus. All shield give such a bonus, for example.
