I wonder if you could possibly get the developer of undefeated spider to make a game together. I've always thought they're pretty similar games so that if you guys worked together you could make an epic game.

Can Dev please make it possible to skip/ignore researchs.....i hate to keep getting Temperad Magic because my magics are too slow without it

Good game, spells could use a bit more exciting upgrades rather than how it is currently.. also my daily raid isn't giving me a stone for some reason?

"While the game may not be as "Idle" as you'd like, it is certainty more Idle than 99% of video games, so I think the title is suitable."
- You literally progress about 100x faster when active vs idling. Having some idle elements doesn't make an idle game.
But the frustrating part is, the game doesn't have any need to be particularly active. Forcing manual recalls (yes, I know the lantern exists) just punishes the player for not clicking the game every two minutes without providing any interesting gameplay or depth, nor does it provide a feeling of fun or engagement - it's just tedious.
Otherwise, you've got a pretty good start on this game here. But you're going to drive away a ton of potential players. I get it - you don't want players to walk away for 3 hours and come back 1000x stronger. But this isn't a good compromise. Your game would be much more enjoyable if you rethought this. For example, give players 5-10 runs before introducing a penalty, make it upgradeable, etc.
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! No game will be for everyone. A great many people enjoy the game as is, and some do not. I primarily make games that I personally enjoy to play, and if it happens that others enjoy them too, great! What I'm saying is, I don't plan on changing the core balance / mechanics of the game, but I do appreciate your feedback. Cheers! :)

There is this thing with the cone shaped attacks like the death ray and the ice lance to where the attack is backwards and looks more like an ice burst fire and a precision ray, might wanna flip the sprites around or something like that, also I am not that far, I only have 5 trillion power but some of the other cone like attacks and runes might be bugged as well.

Gave this game a try twice, but I just can't find a way for me to like it. The graphic style isn't actually retro, is just ugly, if you want to save troubles, just use a minimalistic design, it will look WAY better with a lot less work. This kind of graphic design requires animations, otherwise is absurd. Also there is simply too much text, too many explanations. Long tutorials are game killers, they bore before you even learn half of the things. Spread the information across the game and make some of it optional with mouse over text boxes. Start small and allow the player to enjoy discovering everything instead of bashing them over right from the start. Good initiative with a not so great execution. Just some feedback, good luck with the project, makin' a game isn't as easy as people think xD believe me I know

The 3.4 rating is really misleading, this is a really solid game.
Love the constant sense of progress, never feels repetitive to me.
Deserves at least a 4.0 average.
Hey there! That's pretty crazy sounding! Have you tried Cloud Load? It should auto-save every hour, which would minimize your progress lost by quite a lot. Let me know if that doesn't work in a PM and we'll talk more!

A nice way to fix the rune cache speed that passes through the screen is simply by not making it tied to the ground, instead, make it levitate/fly. Something like flying in the screen at a low speed/direction for like 10 seconds, then if you don't catch it, it will fly away.

The non-attacking blockers are major pains in the ass for idle play with the lantern. Left the game on overnight and came back to it to find that I must have run into one, that I couldn't kill, something like twenty minutes after I went to bed. It can't kill me, I can't kill it, I've killed everything behind it that could attack me, and it results in a total impasse.

btw this feels like it could be a great on the mobile markets. You might be able to squeeze in an ad banner or two as well on those.

idle EXP rate should turn off once you pick up a power up. Its painful trying to decide to restart 3/4ths of the way through a long run or to just let it go when you come back after just a minute or two.

@TopCog One other approach to the missing muse cursor problem could btw be to darken the background and/or adding an option to reduce visual effects. The latter could perhaps also help reduce the fan noise on my old laptop a bit.. :)

The effect for ice lance seems backwards, the lance flashes with its point toward the mage and the base toward the target. Shouldn't this be reversed?
Heh, I did play around the graphic reversed, during development, but the way it is now ended up looking the most natural to me, in the end. Thanks for the feedback though! :)

Not commenting on the game as a whole because I haven't played long enough, but here's a BUG: I idled offline and there was an error. I refreshed like it said and it gave me idle progress for about 46 years.

It seems there's a hard turn how much XP needs for the next level at aaround level 52. I got to 52 relatively fast but now to hit 54 from 53 would take days.

runes should have a duration and cast at what ever rate they would normally cast. It isn't worth my time to collect any damage rune anymore

Whenever I recall my mage I change browser tabs and then check back, no progress is made while I am not on this tab! please change that! I like the game but starring at the screen all the time is not so fun
Hey, sorry about that! I believe this problem affects FireFox only. As a workaround, if you put the game into it's own FF window, it should be run even if it's hidden.

This game is great! In the academy I'd love to have indicators for how much the fund cost goes down per second on each research so that I could tell how much I'm spending/saving by buying the research.

The game is extremely visually disorienting. The stream of things going to the upper right needs to be smaller and less bright than things I'm supposed to click in in the window, and the cursor needs to be a lot more obvious. With everything happening, it is difficult to click on runes.

"TM lags ER" is a great option, but setting it to 0 just disables the option! I want a lag of 0 (currently at lag of -2)

Such a fun game. Can you add so I can adjust the volume of the music please? Because I'm usally playing 2 games at once, and in one of them I need to hear the effects for some events so I dont miss them. But the volume in your game overrides it so I dont hear. I love the music in ur game and want to listen to it too. Anyway, kisses =)

It's weird that the main thing people complain about in the comments is how they hate having things to actually *do* in an idle game...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There's a minor error in how the game handles time progression. Whenever the game freezes or slows, it considers time to have slowed as well. So every time the game saves and lags for a few seconds, the games time lags as well. Then when you refresh days later the game catches up and says you've been away for x time even though all you did was refresh.
Imo it's better that way, but it is a quirk that should be noted.
Very astute observation! I had seen the effect described, but hadn't actually pinpointed the source of the time-error to be lag! I would add, most lag I get seem to be coming from ads refreshing on the page. Cheers! :-]

Love the game but I'd like to see you be able to sell back or downgrade abilities so we have a little more control over tempered magic. casting speed vs. damage is a tough choice to make but is made so much harder early in the game before you've gotten enough spell diversity to decide. And by that point there's no going back if you chose wrong to your play style.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! There is actually an option in-game, somewhat hidden on the 3rd page of options, which allows you to skip Tempered Magic. The option is semi-hidden, because it's a somewhat advanced feature, and new players are generally better off taking Tempered Magic. The option is prominent in the Arcane Tower if you get that far without knowing about it, so all players will discover it eventually. Possibly, I should add a special advanced help tutorial about it. Cheers!

bug that was here at the start, then gone, now back. No matter which quality i choose i have scroll bars, like the game does not fit the window. Even though it has plenty of space :)

Wanted to support a bit - but seems you might be missing out on that from some. I'm on chrome.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! Can you check that Flash is enabled (click the puzzle-piece on the url bar, if it's there), and then let me know if it still doesn't work? Thanks! :)

Would like movement between the wilds and raid/etc to be faster. When you finish a raid and click Go back to the wilds, would make more sense (to me) to have the mage just tele there instead of the few extra clicks + slow animations.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The raid is bugged, I havent done a raid in over 1 hour and it doesn't work by refreshing either. It just says reclaiming.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Honestly the game would be fine if i had to just come in once every couple hours to enchant and run the dungeon. But i'll never really be able to enchant through idling alone
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For a game with Idle in the title this game is far from idle. There's no idle progress. The Lantern of Recovery is useless after about 3 runs. If you removed the concept of manual recalling and lantern of recovery completely this game would be idle, but the amount of active intervention this game needs to progress stops it. It should just be called mage attack because there's very little idle about this game.
Hey there, thanks for the feedback! In this game, while Idle: you earn Spell XP, you collect Power, you finish Research, you Reclaim Power, and you earn Wisdom. Game progression most definitely continues when you leave. While the game may not be as "Idle" as you'd like, it is certainty more Idle than 99% of video games, so I think the title is suitable. If you want to play actively, you progress faster than if not - but that doesn't negate the Idle components of the game. Cheers!

ugggggg ive missed 9 rune cache's today... they just go by too damn fast, can you make the game slow down just a bit when they appear or something?
