Oh joy! its one of those games where the maker actually updates and upgrades often and based on the gaming population!
5/5 just for that :D

The reason randomness is out of fashion in CRPGs is because it was only ever a replacement for simulation of complex factors. If you wanted to do physical simulations of battle with a pen and paper RPG every attack would take minutes, and it would be dull. So you use dice to achieve a similar result. On a computer, people use randomness to avoid have to come up with an interesting and realistic alternative. So that's why somebody who can crush demons easily can still miss against the skeleton of an arthritic dwarf.

i've also managed to create some of the items, and some of the percentages are coming up as "NaN". somethings is being divided by 0.... *hole appears in game and consumes everything*

defense... no idea what's going on. getting smacked if i stand in the way without doing damage; being told i'm doing it wrong if they go by. and there are x's: but do they mean that's where i'm able to hit, or where i can't?

i've found a glitch with crafting... i have some items i don't have recipes for, yet i can see them i the recipe book and can pull up the matrix. it seems like recipes i've gotten for a page (alchemy or blacksmithing and so forth) have unwillingly unlocked all the corresponding recipes in the same spot on the other pages. + if anyone else has found this glitch

Some nerd lore: The main gauche is not a suitable main weapon and it doesn't belong to the weapon hand at all. Translated into English the name literally means "left hand", as it is a specialized off hand parrying dagger carried in stead of a bulky shield.

also....the % by the attack does not seem to be your hit percentage, I think it has some to do with their defense as well

For all the people asking about the damage concept in this game, the number before the d means how many dice you roll (behind the scenes), the number after the d will determine how many sides it has, so your damage for a 4d6 weapon could be as much as 24. I just compare weapons by multiplying the two numbers and use whichever weapon is higher by that calculation. Hope that helps

Building seems to be somewhat broken at the moment; I constantly am able to craft items that I don't have recipes for (or I've collected, but the icons don't get replaced), while some items have a build chance % of NaN. Also desperately needs a side by side comparison of what you have equipped to what item you're looking at, as well as tool tips for skills in the buffs screen.

the game tries to use some D&D-like mechanics but there must be a problem somewhere seeing that light/heavy attacks are just weird at their execution. this, plus the stupid bugs, make it irritating. and i want an enjoyable game, not an irritating one. shame, since i really liked the pet protector game. fix the bugs, and i might play it some more. otherwise, SORRY but there are other, bug-free games that are just as entertaining.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but the rug in the second floor of the Summoning Tower is in the shape of a Swastika...

for all those who are confused about the weapon damage system, it's based off of D&D dice rolls. the number before the "d" is the amount of dice, the number after the "d" is how many faces are on that die. so 1d6 is one six sided die, 3d12 is three twelve sided dice, ect...
if you multiply the two numbers you will get the maximum amount of damage that your character can hit with that weapon. Minimum damage can be found simply by looking at the number before the "d".
Please note that this method dose not take strength/dexterity into account so actual Max/Min damage will vary.

From what I have observed...
Light Attack = 50% of max
Attack = 100%
Heavy Attack = 150%
So you can hit higher with a light attack than a heavy attack but you probably won't.

Ok, so apparently it HAS a mute button, it's just in an inconvenient and illogical spot.
Otherwise, it's a pretty interesting and original game.

Would it be possible to have a lower quality setting on this game? I like it but my poor old computer is chugging away with the processor running @ 99% trying to keep up.

I'm having a heck of a time raising combat skills. I got Weapon Attack up to 601, no problem, but after that... nothing. Weapon Defense *slowly* goes up, now 627, when fighting Chaotics or Demons. Occasionally get Resist ups (~200), Mana Lore never goes up any more, even when casting (~100). Observation fortunately still goes up like normal (~550). Doesn't matter what I fight, when using bows or books/staves, Archery and Magic Attack never rise (5). Oh, haven't seen an Anatomy up in forever (~570). Looks like my 1000 combat skill will be Weapon Defense, but *man*, what a wait it'll be.

The damage is calculated in amounts dice of various numbers of sides. ------------------------------------
1d8 means one eight-sided die, or 1-8.
------------------------------------
2d8 is two eight-sided die, thus 2-16 damage.
------------------------------------
So think Number of dice X maximum damage per dice. More dice guarantees more minimum damage, so 2d6 would be slightly superior to 1d12, because its 2-12 vs 1-12.
