FINALLY beat the Star Room. Started with 2 red mages in the middle (upgrade both after 1st wave), then 2 dexers on corners (upgrade at least once early on). Then 2 more red mages in the center and a purple. After that 3 more red mages, then an alchemist. I also cleared a square and put a necromancer but I think I would have done even better if I just upgraded everybody that was waiting for it. Put emphasis on the red mages for upgrades (or purple if a purple-weak wave is coming), and upgrade the alchemist as soon as you can (specialist). Only use general upgrades for the non-alchemist mages

green acres and star room have both defeated me. I desperately need help from someone. What am I not getting? I put mostly blues on green acres, with a couple of fires, and a couple of the advanced units. Ive tried mixing in others as well. I upgrade evenly and only have only upgrade general. Any help appreciated.

I have been logging the levels as I play them. I have strength, weakness, immune, and flying for each round of the first 4 levels, and will probably have the rest of the levels soon. If anyone is interested in seeing or using it, let me know and I will try to post it somewhere.

@ Hiocoie: 1/5 because you think it's HARD?! Imo, I think that's a childish opion. If you don't want HARD, try to avoid strategy games. Also, it isn't incredibly difficult. It's easily possible to do. The part about rather playing the first version on Ace of Spades- This is the first version of a game series. So it's not perfect in everyones eyes.

Fun fact: The grafics in the game are from pre-reborn Ultima Online. We know it was done with permissions and all, but some people seem to be wondering about these grafics, so there.

This is one of my all-time favorite tower defenses simply because it uses my favorite game of all-times graphics and sound effects, Ultima Online! :D

Interesting to see a whole defense game modeled after Ultima Online, even uses the UO symbol on the cover of the game case.... OLD game. even the names of the boards on this are areas from Ultima Online.

THIS WAS MADE BEFORE THE PROTECTOR SERIES SO ITS NOT A RIP OFF AND ITS MADE BY THE SAME GUY AND ITS NOT A PART OF THE PROTECTOR SERIES

Its actually quite funny that the top 5 comments on this game are all about thats its not a rip of and people STILL dont understand. -.-

Saying Defender is a rip off of Protector is like saying "The Hobbit" is a rip off of "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."

So, I got to level 46 today, and I have a different strategy to the other players here - this was the furthest I got, and I used only red mages in the early stages, with 1 dexer at each entrance - THIS WAS KEY! - I then added blue mages, with the bulk of the mages from the centre circle downward toward the bottom, and upgraded all as far as I could, including the dexers! I added my necromancers to the centre circle as soon as I could afford it, I could only afford 2 with upgrades. I used about 2:1 red/blue mages, and still the daemons almost all got through after the intitial wave - the second and third waves pretty much all got through.
The dexers dealt with the zombies, gamemasters and skeleton hordes better than anything else so far, none of them got through, and that was a first. I need to refine the balance and position of my defenders, but I think I should be there soon.
