The UO concept provides a certain charm that will be much less elusive to old school gamers. I like this more than Protector for no reason other than that retro connection.

LOL... It's not exactly the same as Protector. Protector is exactly the same as Defender. For you to know, this was made first, the very first as I remember, and than came a better version of Defender and than came the three Protectors! This was the test, the first step into the world of these kind of tower defense games! So stop pointing it down and don't waste your word on it, in its time, it broke in with very high volume! And by "in its time" I mean years 2004-5 I think... I'm not sure, but it's the oldest version, mates! :) Be cool!

I've always been a fan of protector, so yeah i like this game, but I'd rather a sequel of protector, or atleast one thats better than protector 3. Not even a speed up button in this.. 3.5/5 would be my rating, but ill press 4 star on kongregate rating :)

not flaming or anything, but.... Why did you even make this? It's exactly the same as protector when you could have been working on a sequel, instead of a parrallel. Ah, screw it, whatever. You made a game, I played, and your mission is a win. Damn you :D

First time playing, i looked at comments so i tried Green Acres out, was doing amazingly till the "strongbats" or whatever came out... they pwned meh

Someone has an idea how to do Green Acres? I do fine at the begining until lev 25 (Red generalist in the middle, green specialist top, blue spec second top, purp specialist at 2nd end, and red generalist at the end, afther wave 12 i put 2 warrior after the red mages inthe middle)

I beat the starroom :) I had 2 elder mages 2 elder dexers and the rest were either grandmasters or the first level.. novice.

I wasted 30 hours to beat star room. Finally I did it, yeah!!!!!!!!! I'm not plan to post a walkthrough, but 'tis is my advice. 1. I've bought just 2 warrior, and never upgraded them. 2. I bought 7 red mages and 1 purple mage. specialization is not needed. 3. Zombies wont be cleared without alchemist(level5). 4. I used 3 Necromancer 5. Upgrade your red mages almost evenly.

i thought it was VERY good, yes, harder than protector a little, but i prefer the fully upgrade then instabuy the better units instead of those upgrades. but very good 5/5. imo, better than protector.

Basically a simplistic version of Protector (which is AWESOME!). I liked this version a lot less, but still worth 3/5.

This was before protector. to prove it, go to http://www.towerdefence.net/ and go to online games and look for protector and defender. defender came first and it is by the same person

Definitely as good as its sequel. It is much more difficult, however. Maybe because there are not any skills available.
