The best and easiest strat is to capture a couple of cities near you and then make a pact with the nearest army so you can build up and then try to capture cities before your allies do so you dont have to fight them and then keep doing that until you have enough to destroy your ally or take one of the other kingdoms

If you play normal mode the AI's will target each other. On hard they only fight you. The way to win on hard is to capture more cities than another faction then sign a pact with that faction. Then they will target one of the other AI's beside you. Choose one of the two remaining factions and target them exclusively for destruction until you kill them. Then pick off the last at your leisure. Happy hunting! :)

I don't understand what I'm supposed to do to get ahead. The enemy gets more troops than I do, and gets more on the front line. They also have massive morale boosts within the first couple turns before any combat happens, so as soon as the lines meet half my army is destroyed. If I don't spread out, I don't get troops either. There's no choices to be made at the start other than hope you have more cities within a couple hexes of your start than the enemy, and hope the AI targets each other instead of rushing you. Which won't happen, apparently.

When a game works, the second part is always player vs player. Me personally, I prefer to play vs computer, mainly because in this type of games, the losing player always quits early so you can never win properly

beat 624791 in 125 turns with pink, trick, get as many 99 boats as you can in your lake and the middle lake, then attack blue's capital when blue takes over red.

the empty map on hard, I finally won (5th try) on hard mode! Everyone fights against you, and yet it is possible to win

@returnofthemstra: In case you did not notice, Greenland always moves last. On many maps this is a decisive disadvantage.

Am I the only one who is experiencing the scenario that Greenland is always the first to be conquered? Even the one time I played Greenland it was the first captured. How?

LOLs at Riot1977 Me too. It reminds me of the local Chinese buffett with it's terrible food. Now when I go there I hear "Battle!"
