Please add an UNDO button for last move. I gave the wrong command a hundred times... Great game. One of the best strategy games I ever saw!

AI soldier: sir, they have surrounded our capital and they want peace! we have no cities left, and our capital is the only city that can produce army!
AI king: Attack!!!!!!

lol i was ganged up by all 3 and there were about 10 ports and cities around this small area of wat, (about 5 hexagons) and i owned them, and all the nations started attacking me. first thing i did was send a strike team to one of there capitals and took it. then i just duked it out with the other two until i won. :D 5/5 and favorited

@santaclaws11 I've been ganged up on more then once. just depends. but was interesting having to split up the 5 moves on 2 fronts. ( one side destoryed another earlyer on then ended up contacting me 1st. just worked out that I was the next logical target.) Had a fight on my hands from the north and east. Prevailed in the end but did get pretty hairy.

@axle55454, its pretty in your face before you start, the only thing hard to see is the sound thing. and skitszo, the AI never gangs up on you, red and purple attack each other and and blue and green attack each other. the do send men over to either side, but only rarely will the nations diagonal from you attack you

hey idkidc10, thanks for not being a dick when you pointed out an honest mistake to me. its not like i was mean to the game designer, i just missed it.

1-5....seriously.... the AI gets more troops and then they gang up on you 3 vs 1.....its just luck of whether they fight each other or gang up on you.

i love the game, its simple yet addictive and difficult enough to challenge your brain, i agree with blah321123 though, a level editor would be awesome, even without it, 5/5 and favorited

Upgrades will ruin this game and make it boring and uncreative. It's simplicity gives it elegance. Maybe unlockables, but definately not upgrades.

sooooooo old. I mean, I love the game, but I played it to death two years ago. I'm just going to hope they brought it to kong as a teaser for the upcoming sequel... I can dream, right?

If you are on an island, build up an invasion force on the ocean, then when you have a couple tanks or 4 or 5 cannons you can sail directly to an enemy capital and capture their empire. Or you can land as far away as possible from your enemies and capture a couple towns. This is risky because if you don't have at least 4 or 5 towns and several cannons by the time you are attacked, you will probably be driven out. But this is generally a lot more reliable than the first option. Either way it is much harder if you are based on an island. If there is an ocean in the middle then first conquer your closest opponent and then launch across the ocean. Land at ports so they cannot launch ships and then press inland. Or sometimes you can launch a sneak attack on their capital.

Try to anticipate where the main battle will be and try to choose a country with lots of towns that it can get to taht are near the battlefield. This makes reinforcements much easier to get. When you first start out send out one soldier to get as many towns as possible. Keep moving him forward. You can send men behind him to annex any towns or ports he may have missed. Just make sure you do not engage too early on, before you have secured your position with a couple of cannons.

should make a hex empire 2 maybe have upgrades like propaganda that raises your morale more per city you take and battle you win or secret police so you loose less morale per loss

would love to see a more specific selection of cities, not that it matters but all cities near red could be N.America, Purple S.America, Green/Blue Eurasia/SEAsia/Oceania.

Make sure not to spread yourself too thin. If you attack a lot of enemy towns and drive them back quickly, but dont have any cannons as reinforcements, the enemy can push back and take back their ground lost as well as push towards your capital.

I found a bug in the AI: if you move a unit near the enemy capitol while there is a weaker unit on the capital but a stronger unit nearby, instead of reinforcing the capital with the stronger unit the AI attacks your unit with their weaker unit. Rate this up so the developer can see.

Also, pay attention to how morale works! During your turn, always fight the small, easily-won battles first! Every little victory (esp. getting a town) gives a little, and weakens the enemy's morale (the one who lost the battle). Morale can turn the tides.

Victory depends on: location you've chosen, and early gameplay. First annex nearby towns, then attack nearest neighbour from two directions if possible: first should conquer enemy towns, second should flank the capital (use one as the diversion for the other when you can). Also, it helps if you can get a farther neighbour to sign a pact. It's fairly important to conquer your nearest neighbour, so it won't cause you trouble later on, and you can focus on the (hopefully) one-vs-one war from here. Note that the enemy capital (late game) may seem to be guarded heavily, but it's pretty easy to make them jump out of the bushes, if you attack with enough stacks. Diversions work well.
I've only tried the game on normal so far, though.

This is a very well put together game, I love it, the only problem is it should have some sort of multiplayer to play online with other people, but other than that I rate this game a 5/5 :)

Hint: Never battle at a front they usually are able to pile up faster, instead aim for their capital, 1 town to win it all.
