I recently finished the task of getting every single VasantJ badge. It feels good to just be able to go in, grab the BotD and go out.

First of all, I played it more-or-less in chronological order and still don't know what's going on. Second, chronological order gets confusing after episode 4 because of spin-offs. So the best bet is to try play older uploads first.

If you don't like these games, just rip the bandaid off and play them. You'll be getting a bunch of badges in the future because they keep getting BOTD.

Interesting concept with a lot of potential, but it feels like you are relying too much on filler when you could be making a really good game that's just shorter. There are long drags where you can't control the character, and just have to click through the dialogue boxes. The final chase scene also felt gratuitous. A detective game where you click around the scene, and then have the use the clues to pick the right options at the end is really cool, it just needs more polish. Don't feel like you have to drag things out to make the game longer. Trust that you can make a meaningful experience that is also shorter

Collected all five clues but now I'm stuck...someone said to interact with the mummy next but when I do nothing happens. Thoughts??

I'm not saying we have to have a full week's worth, but if Kongregate is going to give us multiple Medieval Chronicle games week after week we may as well get them in order.

@GameTommy if you want to play Medieval Chronicle from start to finish to see how the storyline goes, you can do it right away, right now. Go on Vasantj's page and play all of them from 1 to N. You don't have to wait for a game to be the BotD to play it.

And... 2nd Medieval Chronicle of 3 for this weeks Badges of the Day. I think Kong admin should just have 1 week where all badges are Medieval Chronicles in chronological order if they're going to keep having one or two of these games be BotD each week and then don't give us anymore for a month. That way at least we can see how the storyline goes instead of jumping around and still getting 5-10 of them each month.

diegolis and other idiots@ This particular part may not be bad (though i wouldn't go that far to call it decent), the same for 3-4 other games from the series, but there are another few dozens of this trash that should have never been made... and now they haunt what was left of Kong. So yea, all the hate for this pitiful dev and his ,,work" is well deserved.

I think it's hilarious how the more they make these the badge of the day, the lower their ratings get. I'm sure they'll all be one-star before long. That's how I rated them long ago anyway.

I don't get the people talking about hate against these game series. I am pretty sure the creator of Medieval Chronicles is proud about the success of the series. Many people don't like this kind of games (including me), but I recognize the effort and passion invested in the series. But is pointless to stop people complaining about the BotD choices: the developer will obtain more people playing the game thanks to this "random" decision and, so, will gain more money. So stop thinking the developer cares about the complains and the lower rating: he will gain more money anyways.

This comment is a repost on the previous BotD but since i typed late not many are gonna see it, though i feel that i still have to addressed this.
Kinda sad this game is on BotD, not because its a bad series of games but it only gives it unnecessary hate for something thats not even the creators fault. I wish people could separate the badge from the game instead of throwing hate to the creator who has zero control over this and has done nothing wrong, and just wanted to create a series of games hes clearly passionate about.
Also its completly acceptable to skip the game using the cheat or not like the story of it AND THEN leave a bad review. What i dont like is people leaving mean reviews for game they didnt even read a single line of dialogue for just because your frustrated and lowering the rating of a pretty decent game by most standard.

UPDATED BY ME: Here's how to beat the game quickly (credits to maddog2314, m1w1, Aesica & XUep7). Follow these steps: 1) In Firefox, start a new game game. 2) Hold PageDown key to get through the initial dialog, the opening title, etc, till you see Dregg for first time near two guards. You should be able to start walking. 3) Press F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I to open the debug console. 4) Click on the iframe selector (upper right area of the console window) and select the game's iframe instead of the main window as the new target from the dropdown list (this should be the last option). 5) In the console, type $gamePlayer.reserveTransfer(1, 9, 2) and hit enter. If you selected the correct iframe, it should whisk you away to NEARLY the end of the game. In this scene, you should see Dregg, a dog & a character climbing down. You will still need to play a minigame about finding Dregg behind some barrels & walk with the mummy through some doors. Hold PageDown to get through the last bit of dialogue.

@ZanderShadowbane: the animosity isn't merely because the games are BotD. In my case, at least, it's because this series has been given *far* too much promotion in the past month, especially for a game that is poorly designed and scripted, and hasn't been edited for content or errors in English mechanics. This is a lovely beta for a graphic novel, but really doesn't pass Kongregate's own standards for game design.

You mean to tell me that of all the games on the site, there are so few that still work that this one got cycled back in for BOTD after just two weeks?? The last round of gripes was June 11th. Pathetic.

It annoys me how many people hate these games simply because they're badge of the day. I understand that they're not for everyone but the same could be said for puzzle games, racers, and pixel perfect platformers.
