Under rating threshold (show) I have 24 human, 27 orc, 29 elves, 22 undead, and 23 southerners. I did a restart to see if that would send it in but it didn't. I have gone to the achievements tab over a dozen times before and after the restart and still nothing. Refreshed the page and cleared my cache in firefox. No dice.

Under rating threshold (show) I like the update it just becomes a bit of an issue for runs where you have buffed and increased the price of buildings for me then never be able to buy any of that building again eg a fort now costs 10e13 mud and the most mud i have produced is in the 10e11 region...

I'm guessing you're fighting enemies that give a reward of less than 1,000? I think most players spend most of their time fighting enemies that give larger rewards. But, I should change it to produce a minimum of 1.

Under rating threshold (show) I have noticed that if you dont have enough eapons and peasants for militia and not enough soldiers too, but combined, they would have been enough, no fighting take place too.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from Veterum

I just tested it, and it worked. I had more weapons than peasants, and higher expected losses than either peasants or soldiers but less than peasants+soldiers. It used peasants+weapons until I ran out of peasants, and took the rest out of soldiers. Can you give more details about the situation where it didn't work like that, or provide a screenshot?

Under rating threshold (show) Oh didn't see your mesage, Veterum. And sorry no I can't, once I thought I realized what was wrong I didn't really think about it anymore. All I really can say/remember is that I had just started a new game to spend a lot of achievement points, and my first battle I did not lose any peasants but did lose a lot of my soldiers. I had.. I think 100ish weapons, and needed like one or two more then that in losses. Had closer to 400 peasants by then too, so was surprised when I saw my soldiers go from about 100 down to 0 and have to build back up, but after that first fight Militia was working normally, killing the peasants first before soldiers. That's all I remember, I am sorry.

Under rating threshold (show) The Southerner's Banks' "Manipulate" option shows a '*', which everywhere else in-game would mean 'x times the number of banks' when all it actually does is 'x plus the number of banks'. Bug or just a way to visually distinguish the manipulate option from the lend option?

+ - !

Developer response from Veterum

It's just to distinguish manipulate from lend.

Under rating threshold (show) NM found the problem on my own, was short by one weapon so apparently it made me lose soldiers instead. Wierd, but at least I know what was off, and it was on my end so not a bug.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from Veterum

With militia on, it should use all your peasants/weapons before using any soldiers. If you lost soldiers even though you still had both peasants and weapons, then it is a bug. EDIT: It seems to work for me though, can you give any more details on what happened?

Embarec

Oct. 02, 2016

Under rating threshold (show) irrigate from canals increases both fields and plantaions, but water wheels gives bonus only to fields. Is this a bug or WAD? Also, 1 elephant per victory is just too low, can we get it to be based upon morale too. Same with mirrors to complete the theme. Also, in case of mummies and liches, liches are cheaper to build(their building), cause no recurring maintainance to damage equally and dont block you from making more liches while attacking unlike mummies. Mummies need a serious buff if they are the end units?? for the undead.

+ - !

(3)

Developer response from Veterum

Canals and water wheels: It's intentional. Because plantations scale with morale, fields need 1 more building to multiply with to stay relevant in the late game. Elephants: The thing is, elephants scale very strongly with a lower fight cooldown. So if I buffed them significantly, I would just have to nerf them again when I add more achievements. I'm intending to make an achievement reward that makes them more useful with a long fight cooldown. Mirrors: Well... they're better than meadows :P. Mummies: Mummies are the only damage-per-second resource that scales with a building, so I can't buff them too much. But they do need either a passive ability or an achievement reward. I'll try to think of something.

Under rating threshold (show) so, I finally got to Mirrors (not sure but I think it's the last building) and I'm curious how they work, because when I bought one my enemy display started lowering before the cool down timer was done, so do they kill per second or in battle?

Under rating threshold (show) I wasn't accounting for that but still somehow the number remains at 0 after a battle that it shouldn't be at 0. because it was showing expected losses the first go through and this is without increasing the number of mercenaries, cavalry, elephants, ballista or morale.

Under rating threshold (show) Am i playing on the previous version? I have unlocked the 7th enemy(zombies) as the undead and the new race hasnt unlocked like it has with the others. I started playing the game just 10 mins after the update(thats what the update log of kong tells me)

+ - !

(-1)

Developer response from Veterum

You have to defeat the 8th undead enemy to unlock the 5th race :) EDIT: Also you may want refresh before playing the new race, just in case you're on the version before it got reset. If you're on the old version then your progress with it will get reset.

zipas

Oct. 01, 2016

Under rating threshold (show) @devildog14, if expected losses are 0 right at 50seconds+, go for bigger enemy till you find sweetspot. game calculates ballistas kills for whole cooldown and shows expected losses after ballistas, what screws up are mirrors - they lower expected losses during cooldown(also if you are producing ballistas) :) i usually go for enemy that lives up to 15 extra seconds if im making ballistas at the moment.

+ - !

(1)

devildog14

Oct. 01, 2016

Under rating threshold (show) I think balistas screw up the enemy kill counters. If I use balistas to get them down to 0 expected losses it stays that way even after it resets the number of enemies from a fight. What that means is I could take a long time to fight an enemy one time with the balistas then next time it will only take 60 seconds no matter what because it will read 0 losses. also it doesn't update properly the number of expected losses.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from Veterum

The expected losses figure factors in how many enemies your ballistas will kill over the remaining fight cooldown. Perhaps you aren't taking that into account?

Under rating threshold (show) Thank you Veterum, but it wouldn't be worth restoring. Still, now I know in the future what I did wrong! And I'm sure it'll be fun building back up from scratch. Still, kinda sucks I lost all that progress, but... honestly it's kinda pretty easy to REACH that point.

+ - !

(0)

If it's any consolation, as I add more achievement points and rewards, progress will get faster. So time lost now will be easier to catch up. Also now I have good reason to implement a copy-and-paste backup feature.

I just looked at the options on chrome, and when you delete the browser history, there are separate check boxes for history, cache, and "Cookies and other site and plug-in data". My guess is that you checked the box for deleting cookies, which cleared your local storage. Doing a system restore might recover your save.

Under rating threshold (show) I've been working on the Southerners all day, and I still don't think I'm done yet, but I really like how almost everything (including battle) revolves around morale. One of the major problems I had (and why it took me so long) was it was very hard to get mercenaries in the beginning, and it was impossible to leave them alone at first because of how you get coins. other than that, I'm very happy with the new race so far!

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from Veterum

Those are disabled until you defeat a few enemy levels. For some reason the game didn't load your save. The reset in the last update only reset the new race, it didn't affect the other races. If you changed browsers or reset your browser to factory settings, it may not load from your old browser. Is there anything you did that may have affected your browser's local storage?

Sep. 30, 2016

Under rating threshold (show) @Josch the idea of the plantations is that you trade the food cost of slaves for water instead. Water is much easier to produce, and having more food allows you to buy more slaves. It's still pretty bad because low morale makes it bad early game and you can just fight the first group for a large number of slaves later, but it's still useful for "generating" food which counts towards achievement points.

+ - !

(0)

XJoschYZ

Sep. 30, 2016

Under rating threshold (show) No. Plantations are rather pointless later on too. They always require a 1:1 ratio of water to food no matter your morale.

Under rating threshold (show) Waaait... So plantations use water and one slave... to produce food equal to the amount of water used? While fields use water to produce food equal to the amount of water used without requiring a slave? Started just now. But thats the first thing bugging me. This seems counter intuitive and makes plantations worthless at least at this stage. If they are better later on make them unlockable later on but not this early as a requirement for later buildings.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from Veterum

Yes plantations are useless if you only have 1 morale. Later on there are more buildings that give morale, so plantations will scale up.

This is intentional, to give everyone a 'new player' experience with the new race. 10-20 conclaves set to armageddon would easily wipe out all the low level enemies. I will enable armageddon with them in a week or so, as well as caravans. Dead Wagons already work with the southerners.
