I played again as entrepreneur I did great at first, but the ai kept attacking and I finally won on day 73. I had to send a lot of mobsters against the last family, but all the others I could purchase them out.

Seems the ai will randomly attack, and if you simply purchase the district back they often won't counter attack. Almost as if your wanted level can go negative, or the A.I. gets penalized for attacking.

Hmmm, the other families seem more likely to attack an upgrade property, I bought a bunch of casinos in Marine Park and it was attacked, even though it was left alone for the last 5+ turns.

I got down to 1% prestige. Got zero money per turn as I chased the last family around the map not having enough money to buy any districts. Other than that no consequences apparently.

Trying for quickest win, day 21 making 2.5 million a day, with 19% profit increase. I'm getting the entire first island up to casino before mass buying out the the 2nd island all at once. The rival gangs seem to takeover districts they used to own when you buy them.

What do the skill sets do? I think it is starting money, mobsters, and reputation only. Entrepreneur has 125k, 50 mobsters, 63% prestige, and 30% wanted level. In contrast strategist has, 50k, 90 mobsters, 58% prestige, and 34% wanted level. I found those 40 extra mobsters don't do much because you get attacked more and lose most of them if not all early game.

With last comment I mean get 200+ mobsters and hit all four enemy territories at the same time, with 50 mobsters with tommyguns per territory.

Played again as strategist and won on turn 51. I ended up playing about the same, just fixed a few beginners mistakes. The 60 extra mobsters did help at the end. I got attacked more often due to less starting respect. I found raiding docks is useless. In general I found invest, bribe, and buy out the first two families. Then, send in 50 mobsters to enemy territory to take out a family at a time. They will counterattack a lesser value district which you can buyout. This quickly ends the 3rd and forth family.

I won on day 55 with three star money faction, . entrepreneur. I never did try attacking enemy docks. I wonder if it is even possible to run enemy factions out of mobsters.

Gets annoying when ordering 50,000 cases of liquor for two million and have to click 50 times, sometimes with lag. A.I. doesn't seem to suffer any consequences for taking over your territories turn after turn.

I don't get it. The Distefano family only had the Lower East Side, I sent 50 mobsters which the game said had the maximum chance of success, and somehow they stole the rest of Manhattan from me in one day and didn't lose the Lower East Side.
This is mildly upsetting.

I got so annoyed that the last Mafia boss attacked me and killed at least 20 of my mobsters while they only lose 6 even with me having the best weapon... So I decide to buy one of the cities and overtake the others to show that punk how one overtake the city...
Took over 70 days since I was buying all the cities and only the last one I overtook three cities. I send 50 in each city to make sure there won't any problems and brought the city on the same day...

Take over in 60 days, need some more things to do, and more things to do like spying on the family, and more faster ways of profit. You can win by simply first investing in your beginning districts, buy out green, then take over everyone, if they take over your land, just buy it back.

was ok till the last section where the other mob continually attacked or bought one of my areas making me retake it over and over and over again for 20+ turns before i quit. To me bad game design that a mob with just 1 area can have enough guys to out do me in any area when i control every other area. OR that they could out buy me either.

42 days :) Bribed and bought everything, except for the last two families - for each of these I just attacked all of their districts at once and the next turn if they attacked any of mine I could just buy them back.

It is a great game. Once you realise that there is no point going into wars as there is no way for you to go and recruit "muscle" and you'll end up losing your turf anyway.
So the easiest way is to be a "white-collar" bootlegger and buy up everything. You can just build up your empire and buy the next district. This also gets the "city respect" stats maxed out automatically, so don't spend on bribes. Also, rival families attack till your animosity is under 5% with them, so I just bought up the whole district in one go (if not, they will keep attacking and you'll lose).
Buy, build, order booze, next turn, buy, build, order booze, it just gets repetitive. :) Wish we could at least form alliances, as it is really a 4v1 -- the other families don't attack each other.

I really like the concept. A bit basic, but good for a quick distraction. With a little more polish such as a fix for the bunny-hopping between territories and more balanced business opportunities and it can be a really cool game. Short but fun.

I am just sitting here waiting for the big bucks and the respect to go sky-high. I plan on buying my way into control. It will take an amazing amount of time but that doesn't matter.

It seems to me like the last mafia you have to beat is always ridiculously overpowered. I threw 200 mobsters at one of their districts and they somehow killed them all... I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but if you could create a system for the mobsters in the game, that simulates new recruits transitioning from recruits to regulars, then to hardened veteran mobsters, by slowly upping how effective they are a defending and attacking that would be awesome... Or you could spend money to train them.

i think you should make it so you need more mobsters to protect it for bigger shipments because for me its 20 mobsters for high success with 500 boxes and the same with 8k boxes

The victory song is "Cara al sol", the anthem of Falange, the only political party allowed during general Franco regime in Spain

Are Casinos upgradable or do I have a glitch? Because the upgrade button keeps flashing in and out when I click on them.

I quite enjoy the game, although i wish there were a way to get mobsters that wasn't just waiting to recruit. Also, with the amounts of money i raked in, i wish there were more things to buy, such as more weapons or defenses or even more mobsters! Overall i enjoyed the game! thanks

A bit to easy to finish and add a maximum bribe button because it takes ages and it is annoying to keep clicking but overall great game

It seems like the AI has an infinite # of mobsters, as in one game i tried to quickly takeover the guy next to me and did pretty well but he always took back one of my territories and i didn't have any money to buy their last spot and the popo where closing my places down and i had no money. this game is good, but needs new features and a more player-like AI so we can devise strategies to defeat them.

well made a bit too easy will need more income sorces and prahaps some random events please and serch for all the alchol and add it in please

its not a BAD game, but if you do it the way I did it then it's incredibly easy. Literally I just focused on money and the rest fell into place.
