I find this game pretty cool, but i think one thing coulb be better: the grap. If you know the game teeworld, if this tv grap could be like this one, this game would be madness.

Haha. I can see that most people who play this game dislike it purely out of difficulty. Which might indicate a need to do something about this in future games...
A lot of it comes from the weird physics, of course. The character is either moving up at a high speed or down at a high speed - it's incredibly hard to keep it stable either way. And when most of the game consists of vertically narrow passageways... ouch. Also, the fact that the spikes have a square hitbox means hitting them from the sides far too often, or getting hit on them from a few pixels away. I'd also suggest adding a bit more room to click for grappling, as I clicked outside the window several times (and I was so close D:). The links on the top of the screen don't help either...
Mushbits was a fantastic little series! Try to take inspiration from those, or something! :D

Way too hard a game honestly, I beat it and the majority of my time was spent on the last two levels. It's a decent game but the difficulty curve went from jokingly simple to a nearly impossible feat of complex grapple maneuvers, hampered by the wonky physics of it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
That's what I call a difficulty curve. Well done, nice and short. The grapple is a little unwieldy as it becomes stronger with momentum, but overall nice game mechanic. Hope to see more games like this!

Very fun game, enjoyed it very much, though the grappling needs more balancing, it just feels to fast or too weak. also if you dont mind telling me, where da musiq from?

@monsterkillu Smiling teeth level was impossible until I realized that you should hang on the walls more than the spike areas to kinda slung you over in one swing. But I agree that level was way harder than the ones before it and after it. Should have been more instructions on that level to not punish people when they don't know what to do.

I somehow managed to beat all the levels, and it was fun, but as frustrating as many other games of that type.
For those of you who're wondering what to do after getting the virus - press "X" as said at left-bottom corner of the screen.

Got to last level with the computer. Went to the computer to upgrade. All it says is virus unlocked and nothing happens.

the reason most near impossible platformers (e.g. meatboy) are fun is because they're simple. Too much going on here, particularly for those of us who like to use arrow keys in such games.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the game is good, but it suffers from what many grapple games suffer from. a very hard to control grapple that becomes a point of frustration rather than granting a sense of skill & accomplishment.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Really loved the presentation & concept. I would loved to see the end of it but was stopped after i got to the BIG SMILING TEETH Level .. (I hate spikes, reminds me of the IWBTG :)). Maybe i may have gone for more of a rewarding puzzle levels rather than punishing levels ...

ME: so what your saying is this tv can double jump shoot a grappling hook and shut the power down but it doesn't have the ability to have channels! STOREMAN: yep.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I also agree .-. this was way too hard, trying to work with the grapple while timing the Disabler and avoiding the spike is too annoying for me to finish the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This was interesting, but I really didn't empathize with the TV so much as I disliked whoever was 'controlling' it in an attempt to communicate... Leave the poor TV alone! (Maybe I empathize a little).

Make a hard game and put shitty unresponsive controls and lots of unnecessary buttons on the worst spots to make it even harder, add a bit of lag and annoying music... viola!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the grapple doesn't really seem consistent in how elastic it is, which given the number of relatively split second timing situations you have is bad. real bad. not to mention that having split second timing situations AND something that isn't concrete in exactly how it's used even if it WERE consistent *by which I mean, pointing SLIGHTLY more in one direction changes significantly how the grapple works sometimes* for a lot of levels? bad idea.

Spikes in games really have no issue. Let me explain if you were able to take one of these spikes from the game and put it under an electron microscope, you would see millions of nano sized spikes coming from the sides.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
hard. Made a lot harder by unresponsive controls and physics designed by someone who clearly knows a lot more about games than physics.

could be please remove the links on top? or make a popup menu?
whenever i think I did it, a new window opens because I clicked on the area where the links are.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game honestly suffers from irresponsive controls that make this game unnecessarily tiresome. This game gets a 2/5 until the responsiveness improves.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I see this game suffers from the classic "spikes that are only sharp on the top but still kill you when you hit them from the side" issue.

The amount of rage, this induces ruins it for me; otherwise it's a neat game, but it doesn't offer anything new and doesn't improve any existing concepts.
