@Thariel I took a look at both of the levels you mentioned, and I cannot find the flaws you mention. 42 for instance, every clue that says 1 has exactly one mine in its range, no more, no less. And I solved 39 without guessing at all. I couldn't understand what you meant by "the smaller part". If you would like, I'd be happy to help you through any levels that are giving you trouble. Feel free to private message me about it at any time.

@PossibleCabbage while true, the regular eye only concerns itself with its own row and/or column. If it were a heart in brackets you'd have a point, but as it is it seems consistent.

found flaws with pure guesswork.. lots of them. even as people say it is 100% logic, it is not. lvl 39 e.g. the "smaller part" has 2 possible solutions both re 100% logical. you have to guess

A thought for a future clue, though someone may have suggested it already: what about a hint that's the reverse of the box? Like it shows how many mines are CORNER-adjacent (maximum 4)?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The bracket eye being limited to "is this connected" information on its own line of sight seems inconsistent with the heart clue, as the heart can tell whether a block is accompanied in directions it is not able to see.

And there we go! I completed every level. Some of the new ones gave me a whole heap of trouble (Looking at you, 108), but in the end I solved them all through logic alone. So they should all be correct as they are. Also, if you'd like an idea for another clue type, try a clue that sees the entire board. There are times when knowing the total number of mines in a level can be the deciding factor in where they're placed. It's my "last resort" strategy when I play regular Minesweeper.

@PossibleCabbage You slightly misunderstand the bracketed eye clue. Unlike how Lonely Mines/Hearts work, when this thing checks if something is "connected", it's only looking along its own vision. So to answer your question, if it were surrounded by a square of 8 mines, it would read 4, because there's one unconnected mine in each direction.

I dislike that I have to move my mouse to the bottom right to click on the next button after the level is finished. Would like a way to just move on to the next level without doing that.

It seems like either there's an error on 97 or I'm misinterpreting the new bracketed eye clue. There's a clue on 97 where it shows 2 with a bracket eye, but that eye sees only one connected component of mines (but it wraps around the clue so it sees it in two directions). If a bracket eye were to be surrounded by 8 mines, should it show 4 or 1?

when you manually grey out the hint that shows how many unbroken groups there are, it does not stay greyed out if you make a move.
Nice job by the way coming up with these new hint types, i'm loving it.

Switching off some of the advices on Minesweeper++ doesn't seem to work. And that's a problem, because of lower quality of the new advice the boards are a lot less solvable :/

I love this game, but I am sorry to say level 95 is flawed. On the line that has seven continuous squares, there are three possible solutions (using 0 to represent safe and X to represent mine): X0X0XX0, 0XX0X0X, or X0XXX0X, and there is no way to determine which is correct without guessing.

Uhhh... why do you include guessing in some of the later levels.
For example, level 99 requires you to do two 50% guesses (two of the corners and diagonal from each other) because there is insufficient information. And it really sucks when you expect the information to show up later, but it never does.

Maybe this is just specific to Firefox on Mac and not from the recent update, but the side menu is huge now. I had to zoom out to 80% just to select "Right click to flag". Also, maybe this was part of the new update, too, but it would be nice if the game remembered your preferences, so I don't have to select "Right click to flag" every time I load the game.

@lehou Every level from 54, where hearts start, to 79 is completely solvable using logic, no luck involved. This thing needs more levels.....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's getting more luck then deduction when the hearts appear in the game. There should be more informations instead of guessing
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Thanks @JoeKherr. The intersection made sense but I forgot that it implies that there is nothing surrounding it. The second click was my issue. The hearts are a reminder that the game is about clearing the board, not finding the mines.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes, 61 is possible without guessing. If only one row and column have a lone heart, it must be at the intersection of that row + column

This game is really addictive. I dislike "normal" minesweeper, but can't stop playing Minesweeper++. One suggestion: show me where the mines were in Minesweeper++ after I fail. This way I can see why I failed and what I should have done.

Fun game, i like it. I have completed levels 1-51, 76, 79, no guessing at all. One level was hard, but it was only because i missed something. =)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Absolutely none of the levels require any guesswork whatsoever. They all have a starting point that can be logically deduced. If you can't figure that out, then you're just bad at the game and should quit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Some of the levels require guesswork on the first move. (Or at least the ability to visualize the entire puzzle through to the solution)This is major pitfall for me. The game is otherwise really cool.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i feel like i missed something... is lvl 79 the last level? because i beat it and the lvl page says 61 to 90 but i don't unlock a new one. i'm confused
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Level 8 is all kinds of fukced up. You discard one four mine row, then a one mine column, and you cant do much else execpt guess.

My progress still gets wiped every time I refresh the page. Is there something I'm doing wrong? This is the only game on Kongregate where I have that problem.
