Description

Entered into the Ludum Dare 22 competition and created in less than seven hours. The theme was 'Alone'.

Expecting a Call is a game in which you play as sixteen separate individuals, each anxiously awaiting a phone call in their apartment.

Comment jouer

Left-click on an apartment to make its tenant answer the phone.

So... It's whack a mole, but you made it people and phones instead of moles. It kind of takes away from the "alone" theme you started with, because they will continue to get calls every few seconds until the player decides to stop playing a minigame.

or how about make it two where you have a certain amount of time to click as many phone call things and if you run out you could have a submit your score and have ppl keep trying and trying to get the highest score on that list? just suggestions

I can see how the question of how to make it "end" etc. could be hard, but as it is, you can rack up as many points as you want if you just keep playing long enough. That takes away a lot of the urgency of trying to catch each "call". Also, I really liked the premise, but I started thinking pretty soon that all of these people get a lot of phone calls. Rather than people anxiously awaiting calls at home, it feels more like overworked office workers desperately trying to answer calls. These people seriously get a lot of phone calls to be "anxiously" waiting for each one.
