This game could be improved so players understood what was happening. The missing instructions: The white areas are only cosmetic. "If you get hit, you're invincible for a few seconds (while your character is darkened), and then you go back to normal. If you get hit 5 times you lose." - 2DArray. The End-Level screen needs Retry Level and Next Level (when available) buttons. The game screen needs the Level Name, Remaining Lives and Level Progress indicators; use seconds for Infinity Mode. This game is very CPU-dependent. On modern computers, don't bother shooting or trying to finish Level 4. On slow computers, you can blast a path.

If you're going for hard badge and you find yourself in a tight situation, try to move over walls as fast as you can. Apparently the hit detection is kind of poor so if you're lucky you can go over a wall or two without getting hit if you're fast enough. Got lucky with 2 walls and managed to get 112 seconds doing this.

While the gfx isn't bad, black background with bright
colors will make your eyes hurt after awhile.
Playing field leave no room for error with tight areas
to move around in.
Unless you have a precision mouse and a rock steady hand
you are going to have a nightmare getting the badge, or luck
as I had.
The shape of the ship makes vertical movement awful.
Moving up or down slightly backwards to match the speed of
the game, avoid a block just to hit the block behind
as the game decided to pause is bad.
The shaking don't help either.
Have hit blocks when the screen flash (virus becoming aware)
because the game keeps going and I can't see anything.
Blocks takes four shots, two would be fair.
Also there is no pause/quit or retry option.
Getting hit in the beginning just makes me want to quit and retry
but can't. Music is good though!
2 out of 5.
Tip: If you do get hit. Move to right as far as you can/dare and you
will atleast zoom past a few obstacles.

There is a cheap trick that turns the game from unfairly hard to managable. If you click right mouse button, opened Flash player menu will pause the game - if you then move your mouse to other position and click left mouse button, your "ship" will jump there almost instantly. Sometimes you still can hit the "wall", but if get some experience correct execution will allow to basically teleport to wherever you want

I survived 5 seconds and I didn't get the badge, the badge is incorrectly labelled it should say survive 1100101 seconds.

Just a small reference for future badge hunters. Infinity is basically another level 5. If you tried 100 times to finish level 5, you'll probably need to try 100 times on infinity as well.

After an endless amount of time dreading the thought of this game, I finally managed to get 4th, 5th and 111 seconds in just a few tries. My tip is: zoom the hell in in your browser of choice; as it is right now, the low resolution mixed with the granular precision the game requires is a recipe for disaster. If the screen is zoomed in you can move your cursor much better, and mixed with an healthy use of the right click teleport technique, it should help massively. Shooting is rather useless so don't even try.

This game could be so much better. If pauses were player-controlled, as some kind of reward for progress, you could use them to your advantage. If the screen didn't shake or go black for a second while the game is being played, often resulting in a death. Too hard to shoot blocks of code in front of you AND find a lane to dodge them in. Because of these factors, the layout of the level in front of you has everything to do with how far you progress. If you meet a solid wall you almost have no choice but to barge through it, skip to the far right of the screen, and hope you don't run into another solid wall for a while. I did discover you can move diagonally between blocks without getting hit (the corners of the two blocks are touching) if you are quick and precise. This helps, but the hard badge is still really hard, and very dependent on what the game throws at you. 3/5

Case in point, how much the badge they put in this game should be impossible. evidence for that is that its been 4 (2007-2011) goddamn years now that this game was made and yet only 6,142 users managed to survive enough time. Jesus, I've seen Impossible badges that were awarded more often than that. also, I still hold a grudge on this game because I couldn't get the card they put in it a long time ago. well, I suppose it's too late to ask for a nerf in difficulty now, so I just can keep on trying. goddamn chosen one zero one.

How can there be twos? You have no idea why there are twos?
ITS A VIRUS GODDAMMIT OF COURSE THERE WILL BE TWOS THE VIRUS IS VERY VERY BAD!

So, i need 4 shots to break a single block, and it flies right at me when i do, making it basically impossible to avoid when i'm facing a wall blocking the whole level. Screen shake and flashes when the virus becomes aware just serve as a fake difficulty to ruin your game. Random pauses and speed-ups are just another fake difficulty, not obstacles, they're just there to make the game unfair for everyone. the ship being large horizontally makes it really hard to make vertical movements without hitting a block. The level layout, as well as the ''obstacles''(mostly after level 2) need to be perfect so you can pass any level, and if the game doesn't want you to win, then you don't. While i'm very persistent on getting badges(specially hard/impossible), i also know to stop when a game is just too much luck dependent and has too much fake difficulty to just make it unfair for the players.

lolwhat, I go on for over 7 minutes according to the computer clock and then at the final screen I get "You lasted 135 seconds" .. still, 4/5, interesting little game, it's not often that you have so little in the way of defense. Oh, and did I mention that by coincidence I was playing it on a 10 year old PC? That must have helped :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the main problem is : lots of stuffs and when you destroy them they go towards you but u got no room to avoid and -1 live
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You also need a lot of luck, i just got it with 103s in some runs the ammount of 2 thick walls were insane, i must say you just need to keep trying, gl :)

Got a 100. Half an hour later got another. An hour later got 101, but I wasn't connected... This badge just don't want me.

2DArray, binary system only uses 0 and 1, so those 2's walls would make the world and the entire universe explode, then implode, and again explode, or maybe only make a trinary system
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What? Its rated 2.95 and has a badge? That's strange. I think Greg gave it one just because he loved 2DArray's other games.

Shooting is completely useless. If you get stuck up against a wall that covers the entire field and you HAVE to shoot it, it just flies at you, and you're likely to still get hit since by the time shooting takes it out, you're really close. Also, the random flashes are incredibly annoying and make it very difficult to play. 1/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Stay away from this game.
It's too random, the shots are too weak, and when you do manage to shoot something down, it comes at you and can hurt you! Why shoot, then? It only makes life harder for you. The only real reason is when there's a huge wall of 0s and 1s in which it would be otherwise impossible to pass unharmed. Also, unlimited mode should have a timer. Sucks guessing when it's good enough.
102 seconds, got the achievement, never wanna play this game again.

I realize games were different back when this came out, but holy crap, how wouldn't someone have known full well that something like randomly pausing with no indication while people were attempting to navigate already annoyingly tight spaces and deal with walls that you pretty much just have to pray don't appear would do anything but make people want to punch the developer? Oh, and the tutorial calls our little shooter thing a "tool"...well, someone needs to return that shit to the hardware store, cause it's awful at its job.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Mhhh, worse lag in strikeforce kitty, tips for badge: only move straight up or straight down to receive minimal damage from speed shanges, when the game is paused, you stop too. Stay on the middle of the screen. If you can shoot 4 bullets in an empty lane to destroy the upcoming block. This badge can be skilled. This game just isn't for beginners. 4/5, and btw, luck is slow speed.

Binary isn't binary with a 2 :P But this is a fun but confusing game, I never really understood the controls perfectly, but I still like it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes! Finally, I got that stupid badge! Well, after playing this game for so long, after all we've been through, I can only say one thing; screw you, and screw every single person who made you. And that's from the heart.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Haha i died in lvl 5, but the game continued long enough for me to complete the level anyway XD
But yes as everyone says, this is about 90% luck rather than skill. You will need to attempt every level multiple times before being granted a combination that suits you enough to enable your victory. Also, for those that dont know, the white advancing film in the background represents your level progress. Good luck!

Wow, this game is frustrating as hell, especially when you factor in shooting, or what is allegedly supposed to be used as a 'tool'. I'll tell you what, if that's considered a tool, I'd take that thing back to whoever gave it to me and get my god damn money back. If tools were that bad in real life I think humanity would have long ago just said "screw this" and let themselves go extinct. Seriously, it takes 4 hits to make a block break off, and what a coincidence, blocks breaking off just so happens to be a NEGATIVE thing. Blocks breaking off is supposed to be one of the main parts of the challenge. Oh boy, this way we can use an unwieldy, crappy little pea shooter to even further speed up our demise. What a poorly thought out game. That's sad because the premise and parts of the game are actually fun, but parts are just absurd and cause me to go berserk.
