for those having trouble on level 17 you can push the smoke rings so simply blow a ring and then run in after to push it all the way to the switch

I still think Company of Myself was better because there;s that moment where you realise you'll have to pull the switch to continue. It was interesting seeing that scene again but its not quite the same when you don't pull it.
I only criticise because you came up with the single best moment of telling story through gameplay I've ever experienced in a game and now I hold all other games up to that one moment. The dialogue was much better for this one, but the gameplay was less meaningful

Since "In the company of myself", I considered myself a great fan of yours. Now the "fan level" has risen XD
I really enjoyed those both games. They're funny, puzzled and the history is something deep and surprisingly.
The sad part was that since it is said to be the prequel, we already spected the end. Would me exciting to play this game without knowing this. Maybe just a reference like "From the creator of In the company of Myself" would have been better.
By the way, I motivated myself to learn action script and make flash games like those. Just wait for me!

I thought the most powerful scene in this entire series is when he's just sitting on his couch grinning, not realizing he just killed her.

I love that you made a philosophical game with a sentimental and moral purpose. I think that made the game much more interesting and I found it much more desirable to follow through with the story than most generic games these days. I'd previously played "The Company of Myself" and didn't expect any prequel, but the connection just intensifies the meaning and I think you did a wonderful job. The ending was great as well. It leaves a sense of optimism that the game focuses on. This game seems like it could be a psychological thriller book. Great job.

Just completed the game on old 2005 notebook with Linux. Rainy levels were lagging most, but still playable.
Very cool game! Interesting mechanics, and interesting story. I go to practical psychology group for a while and enjoyed all the dialogues. My respect to story writer.

I always knew that smoking would some day save my life, thanks to this game i will never quit! What if there is a laser threatening to kill me some day...

So many people reached 3-4 & had to end their game there because of how fast that switchable block is? Seriously. Make a 2nd way for 2-4 to be done. That jump AND smoke ring is literally next to impossible. I wouldn't have believed that WAS the solve without seeing it done on a video walkthru.

To get past 2-2, you have to start blowing smoke again right after triggering the timer switch. The smoke will block the laser.

Therapists go into that field to help people, they ARE psychologists, but not all psychologists are therapists. Despite common misconception . . .

Great game. I especially like towards the end that you ignore lasers as Kathryn finally gets over her problems and is able to put them aside.

No quality option and excessive lag made game unplayable.
But then, I was running under linux (crappy flash support) on an old eeePC (crappy hardware)

I was prepared to give this game a 5/5 as soon as I saw it was a prequel to The Company of Myself, one of my favorite flash games of all time. After playing it, I was thoroughly impressed. The developer managed to come up with an entirely new mechanic that was as fun to use as the one from TCoM and even cooler to see. The story was already a great part of TCoM, but this took it to a whole new level! Fixation took everything that made the story of TCoM great, amplified it, and added more characters, dialogue, and art. Everything from the gameplay to the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. I wish I could do more than 5/5 and favorite this. If I ever get money for Kreds, I'll be sure to send some towards this developer. I would love to see a sequel, but if the developer feels that his work with this story is complete, his next project would be very welcome too. Thank you for this spectacular work of art!

I figured out the EHUP by trying everything and when i wasn't even trying it just hit me and no i won't spoil it for anyone.

literally can't play the game after level 3. on a laptop and my processor can't handle all the particle effects so the timing on smoke rings is so erratic i can't play.

The story is beautiful and all but it'd be a bit better if my eyes didn't have to have a workout to read it as the Jack or any of the others jump around >-< still beautiful though

Dont know if this is related to the game, but fixation is a psychology term: Fixation - "the state in which an individual becomes obsessed with an attachment to another person, being or object."
