this game was easy all the stuff was easy i guess untill later in the game needs more commands and more options like targeting and upgraded specific people

you definitely need at least 1 heavy infantry to help deal with the "carriers", and i like to have 4 reapirmen-1 for each wall. the rest should be gunners.

this game reminds me of warhammer 40k spechicly bugs-tyrinids solder-imperial guard imperium-imperium :) sorry for spelling mistakes

Its an okay little defense game. Reminds me both of Starship Troopers and Warhammer 40k. There's a few design flaws that should be fixed, of which have been covered by other comments. Think it should have been given a little bit of originality however. Space marines and giant insects aren't all there is in sci-fi.

agreed, 40K. Probably imperial guard. anyway, my game just reset after finishing day 14. then it didn't do anything. Otherwise, decent game. I pity WH40K for this ripoff though.

"When you near the end of nthe stage, leave the last enemy standing. Let your mechanics repair every thing, THEN murder the bugger. Cheap, but hey, what the hell." (solipsis) yeah, doin it right now. not only does your fort get fixed free, but the repairmen level up and get better.

So much negativity -_-
The game isn't impossible; the difficulty is pretty reasonable. The bad part is if you mess up and still complete a level, you have no chance on the next one, since it auto-saves in the only save slot.
The controls are chaotic at best; it'd really benefit from control groups like most RTS games have.
Who the hell cares about it being 'realistic'?! It's set on another planet fighting bugs. Swords don't set buildings on fire but people still liked Age of Empires.
Overall I think it's a good game, could be great if it's remade with a bit more to do... and a fast forward button pleeeeeeeease.

nice first game. a few suggestions to your next attempt (and you should make another one, regardless of what others here are saying.) you can simplify a good deal of this game with some easy fixes.
1) there is no need for a zoom out button, simply use a fixed distance, the distance you want the player to have.
2) you dont need to have a tab to show what the health of the walls are, simply put that information on the wall itself, you could even have the walls go from green to yellow to red like your graph does.
3) clearly label what each vendor item is used for (alot of issues w/ chaingun only hitting air, maybe make it a missile launcher instead?)
4) indicate what a player will be expected to face on the next day, so that they can better prepare their fortress for the upcoming battle.
i hope you found these comments to be useful, keep up the good work!

Gets a bit slow but still a great game. The UI could use some work - switching zoom levels is annoying. Telling units to move to a wall already occupied with soldiers is annoying since you often select the soldiers there instead. The shortcuts for selecting soldiers on a wall should be in a arrow-key layout (eg. IJKL).

Games only have badges if they have kongregate API( high scores ). This game doesn't have it so it can't have badges.

for future version: if we could make little outposts around the place and if we fought at some pre-made bases in a challenge mode this game whould be even better a great strategy for free repairs:fight the map how u like, then (u need multiple engineers) leave one enemy at a wall and have 1 engineer there (or more if u have enough) and have some other engineers repair other walls entirely, then after the other walls are at 100% send all engineers to the wall with the one bug,let them repair a little bit (till it flashes between 99 and 100%) then send gunners to that wall and kill bug and you jsut got a free repair :D

Shows great potential, a last frontier 2 with lot more options would be much looked forward to (though name might sound a little funny :P ) gj :)

Decent game. Very fun and enjoyable. The only thing I have to say is maybe allow the machine gun to shoot ground enemies; and to maybe increase the repair speed. Another thing, it gets insane starting about level 13. 3/5. Nice.

Not too bad. Won it. For all the people that say the troops move too slowly, keep them in motion. I grab a group and am always moving them so when a wave comes, you can get them to the correct wall quickly. Also, I had 4 repair dudes early on so they repaired stuff quickly in the end stages when it's critical.

btw u shouldnt lose valor points for losing men or towers or walls since its going to cost valor points to replace it all anyway

Heavy infantry is completely useless when guys are right up against your wall?? What am I paying these buttholes for? It's so goddamn annoying. Got to level 32 or so, one of those scorpion dicks runs in close, my idiots can't do anything about it, and I loose a tower with a level 4 mortar on top. Oopsie! This game does not seem to be very well planned out for the last levels. You could have told me somewhere about this close range weakness maybe somewhere in the help. Thanks a lot. Not worth playing again anyways.
