Fun game but it’s actually quite difficult just to beat normal mode. Don't expect to beat this first try unless you get pretty lucky. Always 500xp off even with decent perfection. It'd be quite good if you didn't have a timer in this entire game to begin with especially when there's actually too many homing missles on the screen, just being spammed up into the air where I can never reach the ground is frustrating, and horrible imo.

Wow, I remember this game. This is one of the first Flash games that came out on Kongregate, and one of the first Flash games I ever played. It's interesting seeing how even after 10 years there are very few if any games that have this game mechanics, meaning it is still rather unique. It's just too bad that the issues with the game, such as not being able to force yourself to land and refuel haven't been fixed in with an update or a new version of the game. I really hope there will be a way to continue playing Flash games when browsers will no longer support them though. Having games like this never being able to be played again would be really annoying.

You can get the easy badge in the quick play mode. Just don't click "start game" but click "quick play". In this quick mode there are already more ships right from the beginning and leveling up a bit doesn't take so long, so even if you run out of fuel you can quickly restart and try again. Doing this finally gave me the easy badge after being frustrated with the normal game mode.

Someone needs to explain a few things to the developer, starting with the difference between a tank and an armored car. But seriously, there are just a few flaws keeping this from being a great game, the main one being that the upgrades can become harmful when you are shot by missiles and get launched above enemies so you are prevented from scoring.

Oh, common people, easy badge isn't even luck-based! Tip: you don't get it in a first minute of playing. Work your way up a few levels, make like 20-25 upgrades (just no homers), and suddenly the screen will be full of stuff... Then it's just a bit of skills.

Low and behold I got the botd, 3x bomber and lots of miner - totally random luck still didnt get a higher badge because the lvl screen pops up mid combo

BOTD is impossible to get, everytime I get the combo up to 8 I level up and it ruins my rhythm, not to mention the awful music I cannot mute neither in game or on the tab

Badly design game, the game is mostly based on luck, and the rate is not user friendly as it is not stable, even if mostly updated, the screen will become clear when almost archieve 25 combo.1 star for this ancient game. 1 star for today badge.

Very frustrating game because even if you upgrade a lot (I was at level 14) there are many times when almost nothing is on your screen and I could never even reach a combo of 25. Once you run out of fuel the entire game is over. This is not an easy badge, it's just frustrating.

Still flashy and fun, thank god for infinite fuel mode unlocking once you get all upgrades, it's great to see even back in 2008 we were thinking about players' sanity

As a badge hunter, I decided to do all the badges. Attempting in the first run the Free Flyer Badge (launch the tank more than 90 meters into air), I got 104 meters, and run out of fuel mid air. Guess what? No badge for me! And thus I will add the medium badges (not so medium imo) to the list of "not worthy badges". Overall, fun game, 3/5.

Followed the advice of GustOfTheWind, and got the badge in about 10 minutes. This was after about 5 hours of grinding before.

If you want the easy badge quick, just do only bombers and miners and you should be done within 5 minutes. Getting 75 is easy with everything but homers maxed, and maxing the homers will get you both the third badge and the height badge. It doesn't take 15 minutes to get all 4 badges if you do it in the right order.

I got it to 20-something and the airspace was devoid of aircrafts to bounce off of. So it's a game of luck? Folks, take the L and move on. This game is not worth your time.

It takes forever for the jump bar to fill up, after one jump, the jump bar never seems too refill again. I can not do a 25 combo most I got was 7 and that was just a lucky break. guess I won't get the badge of the day this time around :( plus this game is a keyboard only game, so whats with keeping the mouse curser on screen and if not the game looses focus soooo how do I refuel my tank? This game is in reverse! Upgrades; Are you get too pick out more mobs that attack you! WTH? Why would I want to do that even if its a game and impossible to do a 25 combo, 0 stars

The horizontal acceleration of movement is ass. You can only max the upgrades if you put zero in "homer" and wait until you have enough to get everything else and then buy the homer all at once. Otherwise the homing missiles will keep you from hitting the planes and make you run out of time i.e. fuel. Free flying simply means stay in air for long enough. It's a minute or two.

This game is not worth the time it takes to get the easy badge. 25 combo is ridiculous for "easy". I could see 10. It's a little buggy, resetting my counter without having hit the ground a couple of times, and also did not get bounced off the "miner" units a couple of times even though they were direct hits. Not a bug, but highly annoying is (as mentioned a hundred times by other people) the mouse causing you to "lose focus" if you even look at it.
I do like the concept for this game, and it is satisfying to bounce off the aircraft, but all in all, this game is a fail. Sorry. :(

Yup.... this game is pretty crappy even following the advance I had many instances where no vehicles or any kind spawned and it reset my counter a few times even without hitting the ground. Oh well I tried.

Can only move left and right. Up arrow does NOTHING. Then the tank runs out of fuel and blows up. So, HOW are you supposed to get the stupid badge!? I really wonder about the badgemaster who chooses these games!!! If I could give a ZERO to this game, I would!

As an adult human who just spent one whole hour playing a game they hate, to earn the companionship of a cartoon medal with a posh mustache . . . I think some things aren't worth a daily badge.
