Even with all of my beta-testing, when this first came out, there were several issues with it. The game has gone through a ton of updates. Unfortunately, Kongregate only puts badges on NEW games that do well, not old ones that have been updated to the point to where now they are good. Thanks for your support though :)

If you click on the Menu, it takes you to a bunch of further options. One of which is the credits page, where you can find the links to all the artists who helped out :). The ending itself was done by Allexia from DeviantArt.

that was an exceptional in it's own right. the story line was certainly.... interesting. i haven't yet unlocked the alt ending (im working on it) but how exactly does a human get magically transformed into a square and gets stuck in a white room with other squares and a door taunting them to leave? i mean, perhaps the point is that there is none, but a random human turned into a square in a world inhabited by evil circles..... keep up the fresh ideas and make more :)
Thanks! The project started off as just an expansion of my minigame, but I wanted a lite storyline to go with it. Then, I got to thinking that if the characters could talk, why not make them human in the end? As for why he started off in the room or how he got there... tis a story for another time. There is indeed a backstory, but in case I can use it later on, don't want to reveal it now.
It's a rather large game, and I made it before understanding some tricks to keep the size down. If your computer or internet is slower, it may take some time to load :(
It takes checking the game every day (which there was some system to auto-notify me of a comment), but I like to read what people have to say about my games, both good and bad. It's the best way I know of to improve.
I get some minor lag too... it's something I've been trying to solve for a long time. I'm pretty sure it's to do with the Kongregate API submissions... dunno for sure though.
lol, thanks. I think that is the first time I have gotten a 5 for my rather pathetic title choicing :P. EDIT: This is now a top-rated comment? Lots of people like the title???

Nice game but there's a bug. In survival, When you click "Survive" without selecting a character, The game starts normally but there's no character involved in the survival mode (It's not appearing)
You do realize that there are a ton of in-game achievements and a shop that uses those achievements to unlock customization, right? ;) Thanks for the 5 :)
The game is very large, so it might take a long time to load... if it doesn't load at all, can you tell me your specs so I can try to figure out what is going on.
Aye, one of the reasons for making my tutorials is to show people how to start with something basic and grow on it, just like what I did to change Last Square Standing into this (and soon this into my next game, The Other Circle). Thanks for the 5! :D
You can find the meaning in the boss battle dialogue. The point is to not let the norms of the world control you but instead decide your life for yourself :)
Not every game is about graphics. Games are about gameplay. That said, if you look carefully though, you may be surprised with some of the effort I put into doing the graphics, like the lava that actually moves or the moving electricity in the walls on level 3.
The charity is Compassion International, which helps out children in poor countries get food, schooling, healthcare, education, etc. They really try hard to make a positive impact on the world, so I do what I can to support them. :)

lol the story is short but i love this game i didnt know what to do on the boss fight but then i figured out i had to collect the stars it normally would take me ages on other boss fights to find out what to do but it didnt on this epic awesome game overall 5/5 brilliant game i also love the shop feature so this game is very entertaining i could play it all day and not get bored
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry if the dialogue on "collecting the boss's goodness" was a bit vague ;). I'm very happy to see someone who found at least some of the extras I put in. I'm afraid too many miss the shop (and other) features. I hope you will enjoy the next version too :)
If you are going to take the time to write a comment, letting me know your thoughts on my game (or similar matter), isn't it respectful for me to take a few moments to respond? :)

Anyways, my one and only complaint is that some of the letters in the shop, the ones that are light blue, are just about invisible.

Thanks everyone for bringing the rating above 3.50 :). TLS is now the second highest rated Stencyl game and 0.20 from being #1!

Game was awesome! I love that you can do 'survival' on the various stages just for fun in addition to completing objectives.
Which mode was your favorite for survival? In my next game, I'm making a whole batch of survival levels, so it would be helpful to know what people want.

Hi Abi, sorry for the delay. As promised finished the game you have created. I did try the first time much earlier but stop short of completing. Wonderful game... FRUSTRATING especially even at the Lava. I tend to go full speed ahead. But hey, whats life without challenge (set to easy mode). All-in-all, wonderful concept, artwork, nice credit lists :D Still FRUSTRATED with the KEY but breeze through the ice and bomb. This something is wrong with my key-board. the arrow left and up combined cannot make it go side unlike up and right. Funny how W+A, makes it go side but not W+D. In sum, I give you the Achievement for being Jania Abigail!
So the key level strikes this time. It still amazes me how everyone has their own weaknesses. I have gotten reports of frustrations on nearly every level, and each one says the other levels are easy (or at least easier). I was unable to reproduce your bugs though :(. If you could give me some more details, I would like to be able to fix it for you.

best ending evr! But i cant unlock the alt:( i wonder wut happens to the pink circle........and the other...other squares/thingies.
Thank you :). The alternate ending is another artist's take on what the characters look like. If you click on Spawndon's name in the credits, it will take you to his page, where I think he has the pictures uploaded.

Wonderful job Abi =) I am rather envious of your talent at this particular field. As far as this genre of game goes, I think this is as good as it comes. Some more length would be nice, sure. But it was a fluid, easy to use interface and a simple fun game. It was simply that, a nice, simple, fun game. At the core of any game, the enjoyment is what is necessary, and there were no bugs or programming errors that I could see that hindered the enjoyment. Overall, I think you are capable of now expanding into other genres and creating evermore expansive games. PS: I may not be able to help you code, but if you want, I am available for music work ^^ Great job Abi! =D

Great game 5/5.!
i liked the story (even though it was a short one)
And i loved the fact that in every level you would have to do something different to proceed to the next level.
And i LOVED the little faces you put on the squares :D
So great job :)

The Game Lags a Bit though. I mean - My PC is not that rough and still whenever I touch the red line it stops. and Lags.
Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do about that lag (or about the lag between levels). There are a lot of conditionals in place when you die or switch levels to keep track of your statistics... in my next game, I think I will cut down on the sheer number of stats I keep track of (it's even more than what you see in the Kongregate high score list).

I think it's doing quite well - 3.22 is not a very low rating. It's going well. It looks likes you've worked on this one quite well. 5/5 - Good Luck with your next game(I know you gonna make a lot better in future) - And I think that this game can get more than a rating of 4.00. So yeah.
Thanks for your 5 and for the thoughts that this game can get a 4.0... I hope so too. While it took hundreds of hours to make this game, I hope that with what I have learned, the next game will go much smoother.
