You do realize that there are a ton of in-game achievements and a shop that uses those achievements to unlock customization, right? ;) Thanks for the 5 :)
The game is very large, so it might take a long time to load... if it doesn't load at all, can you tell me your specs so I can try to figure out what is going on.
Aye, one of the reasons for making my tutorials is to show people how to start with something basic and grow on it, just like what I did to change Last Square Standing into this (and soon this into my next game, The Other Circle). Thanks for the 5! :D
You can find the meaning in the boss battle dialogue. The point is to not let the norms of the world control you but instead decide your life for yourself :)
Not every game is about graphics. Games are about gameplay. That said, if you look carefully though, you may be surprised with some of the effort I put into doing the graphics, like the lava that actually moves or the moving electricity in the walls on level 3.
The charity is Compassion International, which helps out children in poor countries get food, schooling, healthcare, education, etc. They really try hard to make a positive impact on the world, so I do what I can to support them. :)

lol the story is short but i love this game i didnt know what to do on the boss fight but then i figured out i had to collect the stars it normally would take me ages on other boss fights to find out what to do but it didnt on this epic awesome game overall 5/5 brilliant game i also love the shop feature so this game is very entertaining i could play it all day and not get bored
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry if the dialogue on "collecting the boss's goodness" was a bit vague ;). I'm very happy to see someone who found at least some of the extras I put in. I'm afraid too many miss the shop (and other) features. I hope you will enjoy the next version too :)
If you are going to take the time to write a comment, letting me know your thoughts on my game (or similar matter), isn't it respectful for me to take a few moments to respond? :)

Anyways, my one and only complaint is that some of the letters in the shop, the ones that are light blue, are just about invisible.

Thanks everyone for bringing the rating above 3.50 :). TLS is now the second highest rated Stencyl game and 0.20 from being #1!

Game was awesome! I love that you can do 'survival' on the various stages just for fun in addition to completing objectives.
Which mode was your favorite for survival? In my next game, I'm making a whole batch of survival levels, so it would be helpful to know what people want.

Hi Abi, sorry for the delay. As promised finished the game you have created. I did try the first time much earlier but stop short of completing. Wonderful game... FRUSTRATING especially even at the Lava. I tend to go full speed ahead. But hey, whats life without challenge (set to easy mode). All-in-all, wonderful concept, artwork, nice credit lists :D Still FRUSTRATED with the KEY but breeze through the ice and bomb. This something is wrong with my key-board. the arrow left and up combined cannot make it go side unlike up and right. Funny how W+A, makes it go side but not W+D. In sum, I give you the Achievement for being Jania Abigail!
So the key level strikes this time. It still amazes me how everyone has their own weaknesses. I have gotten reports of frustrations on nearly every level, and each one says the other levels are easy (or at least easier). I was unable to reproduce your bugs though :(. If you could give me some more details, I would like to be able to fix it for you.

best ending evr! But i cant unlock the alt:( i wonder wut happens to the pink circle........and the other...other squares/thingies.
Thank you :). The alternate ending is another artist's take on what the characters look like. If you click on Spawndon's name in the credits, it will take you to his page, where I think he has the pictures uploaded.

Wonderful job Abi =) I am rather envious of your talent at this particular field. As far as this genre of game goes, I think this is as good as it comes. Some more length would be nice, sure. But it was a fluid, easy to use interface and a simple fun game. It was simply that, a nice, simple, fun game. At the core of any game, the enjoyment is what is necessary, and there were no bugs or programming errors that I could see that hindered the enjoyment. Overall, I think you are capable of now expanding into other genres and creating evermore expansive games. PS: I may not be able to help you code, but if you want, I am available for music work ^^ Great job Abi! =D

Great game 5/5.!
i liked the story (even though it was a short one)
And i loved the fact that in every level you would have to do something different to proceed to the next level.
And i LOVED the little faces you put on the squares :D
So great job :)

The Game Lags a Bit though. I mean - My PC is not that rough and still whenever I touch the red line it stops. and Lags.
Unfortunately, there isn't much I can do about that lag (or about the lag between levels). There are a lot of conditionals in place when you die or switch levels to keep track of your statistics... in my next game, I think I will cut down on the sheer number of stats I keep track of (it's even more than what you see in the Kongregate high score list).

I think it's doing quite well - 3.22 is not a very low rating. It's going well. It looks likes you've worked on this one quite well. 5/5 - Good Luck with your next game(I know you gonna make a lot better in future) - And I think that this game can get more than a rating of 4.00. So yeah.
Thanks for your 5 and for the thoughts that this game can get a 4.0... I hope so too. While it took hundreds of hours to make this game, I hope that with what I have learned, the next game will go much smoother.

Another great game! I love how you kept the same concept as your previous game, and the fact that your using kreds for charity. That automatically makes my favorite developer on kongregate :-)

And another thing. I think a list of instructions should be added at the beginning of some levels for the people who skip the dialogue or for the people who might not figure out what the objective of the level is so easily. I myself can say that I was quite confused as to what I was supposed to do on the boss level XD

Great game :D I especially love the 2-p option, and the fact that I can make my own survive mode and play this game with my friends/family. One thing though, I was able to buy the 2-p option in the shop even though I did not have enough points. :I Something you might want to look into. Otherwise, great job! :D 5/5 for just blowing my mind with this game.
I will look into that bug. I'm glad you're enjoying it a lot :). I hope you and & your friends/family have a fun time playing it :). Thanks for the 5!
UPDATE: Looked into the bug but couldn't find it. I guess just enjoy your cheaper 2-player mode! ;)

I hope you'll take that as constructive criticism, and feel free to contact me if you want a more in-depth analysis from me :P. I'd be happy to playtest some future games if you want a harder critic on your team.
I do take it as constructive criticism (although I still don't understand what makes level 1 difficult). If you want to send me an in-depth, I'd love to read it :)

Bah, my browser ate my comment while I was trying to shorten it: Anyway, short(er) version:
Level 1-2 were too hard and luck based, level 3-6 were pretty easy by comparison, and so was the boss. I found this particular musical track to be annoying and feel you could have chosen better within the genre. It doesn't seem to be possible to get the pink bonus for level 6 unless I'm missing something, and the luck factor makes replaying on higher difficulties or achieving/playing bonuses undesirable for me. On the plus side, you've put a lot of effort into this game, and have come up with some very creative level designs. I'd give the base game a 3/5, a 4/5 for creativity and effort, and a 5/5 for a friend and all-around cool person bonus.
I agree with you on level 2. I just updated the game to move it to be the fifth level instead. For level 6, the new circles don't start spawning until you open the first door, whereas the pink spawns after about 5 seconds, so just don't open the door and you can get her easily. I have also realized that one fundamental flaw with the game was my decision to compromise the game to try to reach a broader audience... the game is SUPPOSED to be hard and is supposed to be played on at least normal... on cake, there is a lot of luck, but when you have a lot more circles, the luck becomes less of a factor (by law of large numbers/averages).

awesome game, better than the first and awesome music, reminds me of tsunami bomb's 3 days and 1000 nights. that's cool you sponsor a kid, i sponsor a (then 5 yr old) girl from indida, she's 9 now, we write back every now and again :)

Why is it that this awesome game is doing so bad in ratings when everyone who commented said they loved it?
It does not compute. Kongregate is wrong!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very good improvement. Hope you make a series out of it, possibly a The Lonely Circle to tell the girl's story? Anyways, good job on the upload. Nice improvements on the design, and I like the artwork.
Thank you :). This is where the series ends for now, but I like the idea of going from the pink circle's perspective (perhaps a stealth-type avoidance game).

can someone tell me how to finish level 2?(porbably you think that i am a 5 years old because is easy but i can't finish it . i made 10000 points how long i need to stay to finish it????0
For level 2, you have to collect the bombs and hit the trap door with them. If you hold on to a bomb too long though, you blow up. Once you hit the door with all 8, it will open.

Very nice game, especially if you like cursor-oriented games. The artwork was kept simple and I think that really works well, and the ability to select various difficulty levels let's me play at an easy level if I just want to relax on up to *very* hard levels if I feel like being challenged - it's definitely a game I recommend and one that I grow to like more and more every time I play it!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Even on cake difficulty the enemies can spawn close and move quickly toward the player, although I guess there are less of them.
The difficulty affects the spawning rate primarily. For me, a large part of the fun and challenge is the randomness of how quickly/direction the circles spawn. The spawning points are all fixed though, so you can try to work your way around them.

Please change the speed up key from CTRL, or make it changable in options. I like my WSAD keys, but CTRL+W closes the page and other things... it would make this less frustrating for WSAD users. please and thankyou
I will see what I can do ;)
UPDATE: Added both Z and / to speed up. Please let me know if you desired a different key (went with the two keys adjacent to shift)
