Oh, for Christ's sake, stop mentioning Plants vs. Zombies. In video games (and not only), there's this thing called a genre. Learn the word. If I compared Call of Duty to Halo, I'm sure quite a couple of people would argue my point, despite them both being FPSs. Well, Plants vs. Zombies and this game are both Strategy or Tower Defence or whatever you want to call them games. That's more or less where the similarities end.

Some of the upgrades are different to what they say:
The CPU upgrades -> first CPU says 15, then upgrade adds a +45 (doesnt replace the 15 just 45 on top of those 15)
And then the third upgrade says 90 but it gives 140.
The money says: Add 3 then 6 then 10... but unlike CPU doesnt add it on top of the previous upgrade so it replaces... and for the ammount it costs rather buildmore cash towers than upgrade it

The lvl 1 Firewall will stop an infinite number of Bats. It's a good tactic to stave off the early Bat rush on mission 14.

Dear games
Pleas stop having "reset values" buttons on your level up screens if they won't work after the level is over. Or at least explain it better.

for lvl 13 (and most other levels up to 15) As soon as the game starts research small visures (Q), place a few banks, and start spammimg q on each lane, when the enemy builds a turret on one lane, forget about this one and continue spamming viruses on other lanes until you run out of mind/energy, then build some defences (row of resistors with 3 AoE towers behind them can hold the waves off for quite long). 2-3 lanes of early viruses have probably broken through the enemy defences and disabled the LEDs, so now you can play as usual for a while while gathering mind energy, then spam 2 kinds of malware on the broken lanes

It became quite easy when you figured out a few tricks...
Few things:
- Toroid needs to be fixed so that It can't be used as firewall(it's too easy to defend with it). It should only attack the malware that is passing through the field below/under not the ones that attack defences at that coordinates.
- Computer is really dumb vs Pgp coder; I can destroy him easily with it.
It would be nice if computer also obeyed the rules.. but I guess it would be hard to code a proper AI for a game like this.

Would be a great game if I could upgrade stuff.
Clicking the upgrade arrow doesnt work, and neither does the space + click.
And I have over 4000 gold. There is no way a 150g transistor can cost THAT much to upgrade....

how to win at game:
1.) build money, and upgrade it
2.) build data, and upgrade it
3.) while this is going on, build firewalls and cannons to stop enemy harrass
4.) build good defense
5.) research everything
6.) trojan->virus->worm
7.) rinse, wash, repeat step 6 until you win

Awesome game. Great variety of weapons and strategies, and he added shortcuts when people asked (if you don't know how to use them, go to the hack pedia on the main menu).

The fact that the enemy A.I. has a faster mind energy recovery and higher computer power though it is using 2-3 coprocessors is the annoying part in this game.

The "only make bombs" defense is hella effective. I beat the 16th and 17th level Gold this way on my first attempts. Give it a shot if you get frustrated seeing your turrets destroyed!

Yeah, that's right! I kicked ass by repairing $15 resistors over and over again. Send worm, repair all, send trojan, repair all, ad naseum. I need to lay off the TDs.
