***Weapon to use: Laser + Split + Homing = No aim, damage is 27x4(weapon slot)x4(number of shots)x2(split)x1.5(split damage)x0.6(homing), minimum spread. With this you don't need to always stay directly under the target, at the same time can keep a constant stream of damage. Plus, if you can get close to the target, you'll deal extra damage because the lasers hit before they split, which will still deal damage.
***Ship: antimatter/auto for maximum bullet clearance, defensive lasers - definitely a must, except the if you need to charge the wrap thingy on bosses. Use green ship if you're slow and need lots of focus, which I recommend.

yiupang9999, only the first splitter will do anything, the second is a wasted slot. You can see this by installing two and counting the number of bullets you get from that slot which will be 10 (5*2) from a max upgraded weapon. The damage should be calculated (Weapon Damage/shot)*(shot/volley)*(.6 (Homing mod damage mod)*(2*1.5 (splitter shot increase and damage boost)). With those calculations the Damage/Volley is 900 (bullets) vs 1296 (lasers) from a single weapon. The reason Damage/Volley and not Damage/Second is more important is because with homing all of the attacks from a single volley from a single laser weapon are more likely to hit because they will all instantly target the same entity while some of the bullets from a single volley will swerve to hit the same entity while others will still miss. You can load up all lasers/splitters/homing mods and sweep through a level and then switch out lasers for bullets and see the difference between the two. Lasers > Bullets

You can cheese the first boss during the boss run by sitting at the top of the screen as close to the boss as possible. If you have homing lasers, it'll arc around and hit the boss. You can basically go afk or tab out until the boss dies for no risk.

I take a look at the today's botd- "Unscratched victory, complete a level without taking any damage." Me: "This is going to be difficult." I click on the game. The game loads. I realise I got that achievement 2 years ago. Oh well...

The biggest problem with the Atropos battle, is it is nowhere NEAR intuitive how I should counter any of his moves >_<
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Another tip for Atropos: the little orbs are unarmored and can be damaged - the damage goes directly to his health, not the armor. Do as much damage to Atropos' health as possible without breaking his armor - his unarmored attacks do much more damage.

Okay, so my last comment was a little tongue in cheek, so here are some real comments. I enjoy the game a great deal, and have already spent too much time playing it, so kudos for that. That having been said, the amount of player information is limited at best. You give the player practically no feedback when they've been hit, except for a brief flashing of the health bar, which is not where the player's attention should be directed. Have the ship flash, or make a sound or something to let the player know. Same with grazes. I had to turn the music off just to hear the tiny little "tick" noise it makes whenever I graze. Some sort of visual confirmation would be nice as well. Lastly, the one-pixel hitbox would be nice, as it is REALLY hard to not get hit on bosses, even with the focus ship.

Lasers + Homing Mod (Both fully upgraded): LASERS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK LIKE THAT....but I'll look past that since it looks freaking awesome

See? My highscores for ItemsBought, ItemsSold and UpgradesBought are all gone! (See previous comments for details) If you want me to resubmit the score, I can, just leave a comment so I know someone read this

Ok, getting someone all excited about finding out what the warp core does at 100% and then finding out that no, it's 120% now is a giant middle finger.

Alright, just finished it. First of all, thanks for making the upgrades less grindy than the last game. Second, gotta go with one of the other reviews that the bosses just take too darn long to kill. Like, most bullet hells will have boss fights with phases that have the same number of patterns but loop them half as long. Part of this is because they're tuned around ordnance instead of health regen, but part of it is also that once you figure out the trick to each one it kinda sucks to have to sit through them over and over again for minutes at a time and it becomes preferable to just give them a once-per gauntlet of them.

Some tips; Lvl 1-24 should be no problem. Hyperion (lvl 25); use (fully upgraded) blue hull, 4 bullet weapons with as weapon modifier 6 splits and 2 poisons. Practice a lot, get to know the safe places. He shouldn't be too hard. Level 21-24; The main goal is to survive, don't think too much about killing. Just keep avoiding and those levels will be doable. Atropos; Now this one is hard, but not hard with this setup (again everything fully upgraded) blue hull again, 4 bullet weapons with as weapon modifier 2 poison, 2 affliction and 4 split, as ship mod the defensive laser (very important to shoot enemy bullets away), and most important the leech bomb modifier. This will keep you alive, by being able to heal yourself 5 times. The survival run is EXTREMELY EASY to wave 25 compared to the bosses, don't worry about that. 5/5, amazing game, although a better/clearer tutorial about shop upgrades would be great. Good luck

I know this is going to sound dumb, but... I'm color-blind, and it took me a solid fifteen seconds to realize there were ships firing at me. Could NOT figure out where those bullets were coming from. =/

Beat Hyperion in one try lol use the strategy Ivod said to use. 4 bullets, 6 splits, 2 poison, level 4 hull, reactive plating, leech. Everything maxed. Easy win

The final boss is a major step-up in difficulty, but the good news is, if you can complete that then reaching level 25 in Survival is child's play. I completed it with four homing rockets, 3 with split and 1 with weaken, and with shield, autobomb and the focus hull. Plasma (without homing) also seems viable, though you may struggle to target the boss in the late stages. Focus is your friend- you can get away with ignoring that feature in every level prior, but you need it for this one.

Okay, being that it seems a lot of people have been having trouble with some stuff, and I walked through the game fairly easy, I'll give some tips. The first, and most important thing you should understand about this game, is that its NOT easy, if you're lookin for a nice easy bullet hell game, or if you're new to the bullet hell games in general, I'd suggest you move along to something else, this isn't for you. In terms of which hull/weapons are best, I used the blue hull all the way through, just upgrading as I got a new one, for weapons I just used Missiles, all 4 with Seeker, 2 with Split, 1 with Acid, 1 with Affliction, that set up will clear all the levels, including the boss run.
