3. way to "shoot straight forward". maybe key 'S' or click when autofire on.

can you mute music from in-game? I find the music a bit too modern and generic for the game.

My only problem: the pacifist achievement. My gun has goen mad and it autofires. Kinda hard not to kill someone. Only made it to about 200 m.

I like how right in the description it gives you hope and crushes them all at once quote "Shoot, upgrade, conquer enemies, attempt achievements, collect gems, all in an attempt to escape an endless cave."

And sorry for not allowing arrow keys. I’ve added them in for move, jump, and dash. Hopefully it's more user friendly, and I'll remember this in the future.
Thanks for all the suggestions by the way! Things I’m thinking about putting into the sequel: Story mode with no autoscroll, multiple weapon upgrades to improve what your weapon shoots (add spreader bullets, etc), more polish on moves (dash isn’t great), checkpoints in story mode, a more random endless mode, and many more upgrades/achievements. Keep posting your suggestions, I'm reading them all!

It'd a bit easier if you could jump up through the platforms. Also, an easier to see aiming line/crosshair would be nice.

your player doesn't jump as soon the moment off the screen. You can try jumping to get onto that ledge which you were going to do anyway, but it won't happen.

I can't understand how you have to pay 250 diamonds for something as useless as Dash, and yet you get Autofire for free.

Great game for 48 hours. With some improvements, you could win some weekly competition money on Kong. The scroll speed is too fast, and if you get more than 1/3 of the way up the screen, it scrolls faster to keep up, which means you can never build up time to get past a tricky spot. Also, games that never end aren't as satisfying as a game with stages, an end, then a survival mode after. Also, it's nice to restart the player where he was when he died, instead of going from the beginning every time. But a great game for 48 hours.

I think the only (major) chance I'd make in this game would be giving a few more frames to be able to escape when the scenario has "swallowed" the character.
Also..... what's the use of having DASH if you almost never have the chance to use it? Is there something useful about it? Perhaps adding a spread shot (3 way) would help a lot more.
Those are only suggestions, though. I really liked the game!

Myabe it was just me but the gun did not do a good job following my mouse. I was never shooting where I wanted. I found myself playing this game out of frustration more than enjoyment.

This upscroll means that at any time, regardless of upgrades/health/whatever, you are one missed jump away from game over - traditional, but not so fun; Decreasing/eliminating it (as a separate mode, maybe?) would make it much more playable for the non-hardcore majority.

This seems like it is a very nice game, and the fact that it was created in such a short period of time says a lot. Though as a leftie, I again wish that the arrow keys were also an option. But given the time constraints, very nice.

Reminds me of Kid Icarus... It's amazing that today someone can make, in 48 hours, a game that I might have purchased for the NES back in the 80's.

For 48 hours, this game is amazing. Concept, execution, music, hell, even the NAME is just so clever and not like some games with dumb names. For what it is so far, 5/5. I beg you, develop this game more, make it even better. This has the potential to be one of the greatest games on Kong.

Awesome game! But it would probably be better with something like checkpoints or so, once you're fully upgraded the 2/3 hundred meter are really easy.

it not that the game is too hard but its missing something for me to want to keep playing . the levels are just to repetitive, maby if i can go at my own pace instead of being rushed or a little sidescroll action...

Fantastic game for 48 hours! Still... as a complete experience, it's lacking. The upgrade system feels tacky; since so many of the upgrades are practically mandatory to get anywhere, it's just a forced delay to "actually" playing. As others have said, the upscroll gets much too fast much too quickly... it's frustrating that it's the only meaningful challenge. 3/5; enjoyable, and I hope to see the concept turned into a 'whole' game from you.

First of all, this game is awesome in its genre, which i love, so it's a 5/5 for me. Now, please stop complaining about azerty keyboards and press left alt + left shift to switch to qwerty. Suggestion : you might consider adding power-ups as that would be a huge increase in gameplay style. See the awesome Tower of greed on kong for an illustration.

WASD controls only? When will developers learn?! EVERY time a game comes out with WASD or arrow keys only, we ask for both, and downrate it for unplayability. Come on, guys.

Ugh, y'know sorry to be a party pooper here but the constant up-scrolling turns this into a mess. It's just too damn hard to deal with the speed of it and try to shoot crap at the same time. Probably be pretty fun with a much slower upscroll, or plain old eliminate it. As it is I just quit after 5 or 6 deaths, too much of a pain in the ass.
