Hi guys. I've updated it with a few more changes suggested by you guys. The plants are no longer harmful to touch, just their bullets (which should help with jumping into them when they are off screen). Also, the hit box for the player is much smaller now, no more getting knocked back because a bullet graces your hair. And finally, you can now pause and unpause to the upgrade menu using escape or P, so you can restart or spend your diamonds without having to kill yourself now. And to those interested in the music, there's some text on the title screen that links to the artist's page for the song if you click it. :)

Thanks guys! I'm looking through some of the comments and am noticing people disliking the collision. I'd really like to improve on it for the future, but I'm not entirely sure which part of the collision people don't like. More information on that would help me a ton. Thanks!

i liked the game but i keep having the problem that whenever i fall, there is no way i can restart without reloading the whole page (i'm using firefox)

If you're having a problem getting the 1000m badge keep this in mind: The game is not totally random. It has a set number of patterns THAT REPEAT randomly. Learn to recognize the patterns and react accordingly.

A pop-up (transparent, small one!) every 250 meters or something so we don't risk our progress looking in the corner at the incredibly small number. Also, bring on the sequel.

As a note, after 750m or so, each hit you take costs two hearts. I'm not exactly sure which height you have to get at, but it does occur around then.

Should be a upgrade for making the screen slower, I have a really hard problem climbing the 1000m when it's so hard to keep up with the screen at that altitude.. So I'm impressed by the 15. 700 people that have managed to get the hard badge x)

To those who can't get the 6 second achievement, I'm very sorry, it was a side effect from a change this morning. I lowered the scroll speed at the beginning, you used to be able to die in under 6 seconds even with all the upgrades, but now it seems to scroll too slow. I will update the achievement tonight. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I kept expecting the gun upgrade to become a multi-shot but one never came... a three-shooter (straight, angled down and angled up each at 45 degrees would make it better)

This game is already great in its own right, and making a story mode is something for the sequel. Concept, execution, music, even the name is just so clever. More variety would not go amiss, like having new enemies and different surroundings. You need to have progression in more than just the character, the level and enemies need to change as well to make it all feel worthwhile. Anyway, 5/5.

Hmmm... Getting to 1000 is way too hard with all those guys that start shooting before you can even see them. Fast scrolling wouldn't be a problem if the screen were taller, since one missed jump (shot from out of the screen) can have you fall to your immediate death with no way to prevent or survive it. :/ Other than that, this is a pretty well built game :) 4/5

I wish there's an upgrade like 'iron boots' that enable to jump on top of slimes. Keep on doing it. Super maaaaaaaaaario

Tips: try shooting around where your going to land and at plants (but you pretty much learn that after the first try)
Ideas: it whould be a really great game if it had items, like different guns and armors

I got so lucky, barely reached 1000 before falling off... What kinda scared me in this game was how there was no way to regain health.

I really liked this game epic fun, i just wish there was a few more upgrades that were a tad more costly.
Would have loved to see something like every 25 kills = recover one life
10% chance to deflect an enemy bullet
and a few costume changes wouldnt have hurt....Still Epic!@

Sometimes the game gets into a state where it stops accepting input and the character just goes off in whatever direction it was going. Sometimes jumps just cut off shorter than they should have.

I hate it when I can barely jump up to a spot, and I get shot, fall off, and die. Great game though, 5/5. When's Diamond Hollow 3?

Can't get the badge. You can't die either from falling or taking damage, game keeps going on and the counter never increases. =/

This game has caused me soooo much RAGE its unbelievable!!!!! I've pulled about most of my hair out and didn't even notice until that AMAZING moment when I reached 1000m!!!! Oh well, I can live without it. 9000/5 btw! :D

@gamerkc Enemies start doing increased damage the higher you are. 700m+ = Two hearts for one hit and some time around 1200m I think it is 3 hearts for each hit.
