I just waited to see what is happen after counter is 0. And I saw counter had counted continuosly.... its time went to - time..... is it developer`s fault or has something other meaning????

This game is like a twisted version of endeavor--I loved it, especially that little back and forth at the power generator.

I'm at the point in the red area where I have to ride an air-jet up and then face three clones of myself. I don't know if it's intentional or not but, if I don't jump properly to catch the jet, I can't get back down to try again. I have to quit and re-start the room.

You could have written all sorts of creepy messages on the walls before you restored the eyesight, and yet you didn't. Opportunity lost. :D

for some reason after I got the power core my adrenaline started pumping and after i escaped I was really sad that I didn't see what happens after the timer ands.

I didn't really know what to think during the beginning, it seemed a little bit odd of course but was willing to go through with it. As the game progressed the creepiness seemed to digress a bit. It didn't really get much of anywhere near the creepiness I expected. I was really expecting in the end for you to fight "Mother". That would certainly be one interesting fight. Also, it may have just been my rush to get out of there but (as I have seen in some comments) what is the "too late" room.

SO much like Metroid, (intentional judging by the message) Moving unimpeded through the water is basically the varia suit... If you haven't played Metroid, i HIGHLY suggest you do, Its a great game and it makes you appreciate this game alot more, in my opinion

Interesting to see how many and how detailed all the comments are. Shows the game made everyone think. I agree with most of the comments. Very creepy. I had a chill down my spine once I got the power core, I was completely freaked wondering what would happen next. Never played Metroid (I know, I know), so I'm not sure what the end message meant. 5/5.

A fun and disturbing game. I'm not seeing an alternate ending. I escaped with and without all the plates and it didn't have any effect. The plates spell out 'kind of like metroid' so its just the title of the game, no special meaning so don't go nuts if you missed some. When the timer runs out sometimes I was killed and sometimes it just kept going in the negative and let me escape. Dashing was tough to do, felt like I had to hit it several times to get it to work consistently. On one part you need to double jump in the air stream to get back up. I can see people getting stuck there and looking for parts to help them up that don't exist.

So is it a game bug or a Kongregate bug that the leaderboard is actually tracking the lowest negative scores instead of the highest positive scores?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it's kind of like metroid when u take the orb because you have to do the run thing in the time limit before it explodes
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Tripticus I got stuck there for quite a while as well. In room Camera 18, you have to go as far left as you can under the water, then run right and jump, and you can just barely make it to the blocks above. From what I can tell you can't make it without that running start.

Never played metroid, but I've heard it involves going all the way back to the beginning for upgrades to progress through the game over and over again. So yeah "It's kind of like Metroid."

alternative key config would be nice. it's quite hard to jump&shoot at the same time with an qwertz keyboardlayout =/ other than that, no complaints. you even have a mute button, huge plus from me. 5/5

Also wanted to say that there were a lot of little things that made it abundantly clear much time and energy was put into this game, the sound getting louder or quieter based on the size of the room, the tilting of the screen ever so slightly in certain rooms based on your perspective (I'm assuming it is meant to be the convexity of the camera lens), nice finishing touches 4/5

Something weird happens when the focus leaves the Flash game. When I come back to it, the robot just wants to go to the left for about 30-60 seconds, and nothing I do can make it stop running to the left. I can still make it jump and I can make it stop by pushing to the right...

Beautiful game, but I swear I am stuck, around camera 18 and 20, I can jump, duck, shoot and dash have gone through all the spaces I can get to and can't find anything new, is it possible to fall down the huge hole too early? Maybe I missed something, but I am sadly disappointed that cannot finish the game...great music too...

Absolutely amazing graphic effects. I'm not talking the robot and environment, but the "wobbling", "turning" and "zooming" of the surroundings. Really loved it. Don't feel like playing it again though, especially since I'm not sure I'll get anything for collecting all the letters?

i almost cried... flickering video + sad music = my laptop shorting out because of my tears. Just going out on a limb here but im pretty sure those metal plates spell mother

Awesome pixelwork and screen-movement.
Sort of a meh-point was when I picked up the last item.. and the timer started - I had trouble reading what they were talking, since I was already running as hell..

TopWolf sorry you fail :| the whole point of the story is to discover what happened to your past and rebuild yourself, you're in a house full of robot brothers and a mother that's insane so you will not know where to go.. there is even a damn map that comes in handy...lern2play. :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The mother was insane >.> poor boy did something I think and killed everyone by accident...and the mother rebuilt him to take over the world.. Woo... I had 71 deaths so i got a negative 1.6k score xD first time playing though

No no no. They did this wrong. So much potential here, but the design is terrible. It's not clear which doors to go through and the character moves very slowly, making the experience draining. Additionally, a lot of the gameplay elements are unclear about what they do. For example, it's not obvious that water will kill you, and I only learned that after dying. Same with a lot of the enemies. All that said, I presume that the story is just as bad, and won't be finishing this.

So..I guess he killed his family as a little boy, his mother rebuilt everyone as robots, including herself..? Then she woke the boy after making him into a robot, but didn't make him fully. And so all of the robots he killed was his family..?

Personally, I enjoyed the game; what I found increadibly annoying and irritating though was when I got the invici-armor and when everything went to hell...because that's what happened to the controls with me. Seriously, half the time my jumps would be wildly off course, would happen halfway down my first jump, or not happen at all, and that's not to speak of whenever my character would decide to fall down a long shaft thanks to not interpretting my momentary tap left into an all out button mash.
...but that might be from the computer I'm using. Over all, a solid 4.5.

Pretty good game, but I found that you can sequence break it - when you fight the last three robots, if you die on the final one, you restart at the door and can make your way back to the exit, bypassing the ending of the game.

there IS an alternate ending. after escaping the first time, click continue game on the menu screen and it will bring you to camera 34. Simply walk left and destroy the yellow gates by pressing "up" and shoot. get the power core and enjoy! (nothing happens after the countdown reaches zero, so theres no rush to escape) + this up so everyone can enjoy this game to its full potential =)

The shift lite ad has an extra "so" at "so so click the video below to check it out" just thought i'd point out that typo
