The only bad thing about this game is that you can actually create unwinnable scenarios, but then again, maybe that was the whole point of this game after all....

I'm really amazed at what pretentious crap people can pass off these days. It seems like the word "Meaningful" and "Vague" are becoming ever closer with the flood of "Art" games people are churning out. Dont get me wrong; I love the gameplay here, but I could have done without all the "All but forgetting is gone to my time" blah blah crapola. It seems today all you need is a classical piano soundtrack, an original plat-former twist, a minimalist art style and all the pretension you can fit under your hat. I'm not saying I don't like this game, but I am saying it isn't original. And it's barely meaningful.

Awesome 5/5! It reminds me of Braid on the ps3 =D. Only suggestion I have is don't bother polishing this one anymore-- just work on the 2nd installment!

some good ideas. Idea of retracing your step's in the old levels, being tailored to how you played is nice, though a bit easy and samey in practice. I think the Forward part of the game was stronger than the backward.
No mute button = lacking basic feature = 1/5 though sorry :(
Add mute button and i'll come rate this better.

Amusingly enough, the ad that played while this game was loading for me was for Metroid Other M, where Samus is talking about how her past pushes her forward and whatnot. It actually took me a few levels before I finally noticed. "Wait... Why are we still talking about the past? This isn't the commercial anymore!"
Unfortunately, a bug on one of the last "backwards" levels stopped my previous selves from spawning, so I never saw the ending.

excellent game concept, I love it when someone comes up with something truly original like this. And well done on maintaining a meaningful theme without boring the gamer to death or shoving it down our throats. My only criticism is the controls, they aren't very nice to use and could be improved upon. Well done, you have my respect.

omg... amazing game. the hardest level was the hour glass one (on the way back when you have to get the yellow ones). I just jumped right down thru the middle at the start, and you cant backtrack that. I regret the way I chose to go when I played it through normally. my fingers hurt because i tried to beat that level for about 20minutes. I succeeded. 5/5

Very nice gameplay. Platforming could get a bit troublesome, and some of the paths can't necessarily be walked backwards along, but awesome idea. 5/5

This game honestly deserves a 5.5 Sharp, It is overall beatiful and touching. It is distinct and unique from the new mindless games, All they have you do is kill stuff, But this is just theatrical to me. Battling yourself from the beginning to the end is quite a challenge in this game, 5/5 Nevertheless.

defenitely a unique game with a story that has my attention. some level designs made me laugh in how well they portray the part of the story just before. one of the best games ive played on kongregate without a doubt

i understand that your trying to make this a touching game, but other than the concept of leaving go your past there isnt much of a point its has decent gameplay though

This game was just tedious repetition trying to see what pattern of movement works. It was boring, dull, and I just didn't enjoy it. The story I didn't care for at all, and the game play mechanic though interesting at first just ended up annoying me more then anything else. 2/5, the game annoyed me and I just didn't enjoy it that much, the art style I liked a bit more but art doesn't make a game.

Unique and fun. 5/5. The game's subject was about thinking about your past and actually made me think about what I'd done. I love it.

Though inevitably, turning back at this point was not avoidable. Self-reflection is all important. Success or failure cloud my judgement. Bad memories i never have anymore and dreams are the only things of my mind. Why is it that regrets have already passed me by. These fractions of the pat are part of who i am. Fame and fortune are my enemies.time i remember all too well.avoiding mistames keeps leading me in circles.running away from myself wont solve anything.and turning back now i see the goal before me.i beg to differ. When people say you cant escape the past. You can.

Amazing game. The ending was marvelous, There were a few MINOR problems with the controls but that was remedied by growing accustom to it :)
5/5

truely amazing completely unique never seen a game like it.. 5/5 loved how you had to battle with yourself to make it back to the begining... and how it actualy meant something unlike the mindless games that are out now... am really looking foreward to a sequel... + rate if u want a sequel!!

This game tells a story about how a guy has experienced an unbearable pain. He wishes to make it all rewind and dont let the past catch up with him, but soon he realises tha doing that prevents him from learning, thus turning back to collect his past experiences and progress through life. Well, at least what I think of it. 5/5. Artsy, yet brilliant.

Did anyone else notice the jump sometimes not working? I had a couple of moments where I'd hit the jump button and the guy would ignore me and run off the edge.

I'm speechless, the music choice with the gameplay is like no other, this is about the first good game I've ever saw. If I could I would give it a 50/5.

this is truly a great gae. it not only is completely original, but has aspects from great games like the gameplay of shift, the difficulty of halo (legendary) and it is just as addicting as any of jmtb02's games. 5/5 easily, simply just because it is so original. i would rate higher if i could

The jump mechanics are a little bit crazy... I got down to one last past self in the hourglass and it was more of a fight with trying to figure out how to jump to it than anything before I ended up falling through. But I love the backward progression. Levels that seemed easy the first time around are harder the second time around. And a beautiful concept!

Pretty much what many people said; great game and style, but the controls suffer with the 'wall' jumping, when it happens when you don't intend it to, or it is sometimes awkward in its mechanics. Besides that, great.

This is a terrific concept, and I'm glad that the second part isn't nearly as frustrating as it could be, thanks in part to me, but also to you. I love the timing-related sections much more than the sometimes wonky wall jump controls, though. Still, original story and gameplay: 5/5.

To anyone that's getting stuck in the second half, I figured I'd mention that the past clones do slow down the longer you spend on the stage, so if you end up unable to catch everyone like I did on the hourglass stage, just keep catching them, and you'll get them all eventually. All the stages should be beatable unless some weird bug comes and screws your game over.
