It's not that difficult aside from the final level, I finished it in half an hour, but that music is annoying as crap.

It isn't that hard but you must play again to move smart when you're running away. If I only knew from the beggining I'll need to collect myself, it wouldn't be soooooooo f....g much frustrating. I tell you, just play again but smart, don't struggle in pain and anger. At the second time I finished game in less than 10 minutes after ~40 minutes almost yelling at orange dudes.

Wow I would not have put this in the medium badge. What a nightmare,I like a challenge and a challenge this is. However the replayability is non existant. I just didn't find it intresting enough to keep going for the badge. The jump is horrible and trying to time stuff as it stops when you stop moving makes it a bit difficult. Know thyself, I found myself saying move on. One badge of the day I'll let go.

I am starting to see the complaints... there is a slightly older generation who grew up with harder platformers, but when the younger generation grew up they didn't play as much of games like this. Personally it is pretty easy for me.

Heads up for those going for the botd. Midway, the game reverses on you and remembers the paths you take to complete each level so make sure your path isn't too complex. This certainly was a bit rough for a medium badge but overall I enjoyed the game (though I was cursing it a bit). Overall very interesting concept and I enjoyed the fact that it remembers the way you run through for the reversal.

I like this game for the most part. I like the "past self" mechanic with one issue. While it is interesting that time stops when I don't move, I found there were two kinds of levels. Small levels where it was best to move a bit and jump up and down until I had to move again because of a copy, and large levels, where I had room to run around and think about a smart path. The latter is fun, but the former is not. That strategy made the collection phase very easy. As for the jumping, I was doing fine until one level in the collection phase where I started wall jumping off thin air. that level was extremely frustrating. You do a good job of the poetic language as opposed to some games where it's simply pretentious.

I love games that are narrated like this. It makes us think about what we can do to improve ourselves or how we think about life.

First time I played it I did so in a very, walk forward, jump twice, walk forward kind of way. This made the second half quite trivial.
Second time through I played to make a challenge for myself. I love how this was taken into consideration by the game dev. every route can be traversed backwards, or leaves enough time to take an alternate with at most twice as much time.
Controls were reminiscent of earlier flash games.
I don't usually like hipster inspirational "define yourself, follow the path" "words fade for dramatic effect"
But this one was clean, and had a really nice artstyle.
5/5

This is my absolute favorite kongregate game now! Thank you for the late badge, i would never have found that gem! I love especially how you get totally surprised on the first play how the second half of the game works (won't spoil here) and - keep an eye, or better an ear on it - how the music fits to it! 6 our of 5 stars, *crying of joy*
And whoever cries because you can't reach the badge: restart the game and do the first half with the second in mind and you won't get problems, but try solving your first gameplay before, you get a great feeling from doing it, even if it takes some time, it's worth it!

I understand the game is difficult, but I was still able to complete it in an hour or so. A badge of the day doesn't have to be super easy to get. (Also, I worked through this badge today even though I wouldn't be getting a gold kongpanion.)

This game might not be terrible and annoying if it wasn't for the fact that the direction buttons constantly and randomly switch. Sometimes the A button makes you go right and sometimes it makes you go left. Shit is so annoying.

So, because I missed two days due to work, I can't get a shiny Kongpanion because, once again, and idiot picked a near-impossible badge as the BotD.
No, I'm never renewing my GameStop membership ever again if they're going to associate with a massive collective of idiots like this.

This was not only one of the most pretentious games I've ever played, trying to sound deep and meaningful and meta, but it was one of the least fun and most frustrating.
Whoever is in charge of the BotD keeps making poorer and poorer choices.
They should never be medium, and this badge isn't even medium, it's hard.

the only two non gold kongpanions i don't have are the first two.... but since i had extra work this week i missed two badges.... i'll gladly say screw this tedious badge and break my over year long gold streak... games should be fun; this one is just pissing me off. if the game isn't finished or there are bugs with controls why the hell would you badge it?!? cause as of now there have been 14,951 who do have the badge who apparently DID play with boxing gloves on as a kid....

This was incredibly hard at some points, and the controls deped out a "few" times, although this game made me continue anyways. Tl;dr, it's beautiful yet hard.

More or less impossible to play on my first run through due to stepping over the door at the start of the halfway point. Screw you game for not revealing your mechanic earlier. :(

Wow! That got pretty interesting in the end. Buuuut was there some philosophical moral in this? I believe there was, but I was too focused on the game mechanics to notice most of the story. 4.5/5

is it sad that I see no/minimal problem with the jumping with this game? I mean, sure it triggers a wall jump when it shouldn't, and vise-versa, but I see no major problem. And, keep in mind that this was made in 2010, over 5 yrs ago.

Not as hard as recent comments make it to be (from somebody that sucks at platformers !). Interesting mechanics (while still a bit unprecise I'll admit). And great "storytelling", done in a clever way.

This game has the worst wall jumping. It's a great concept and the it's not too badly executed, but once you have to start collecting yourself it's just ridiculous how precise you have to be with a jumping system so slippery and temperamental. And when all the walkthroughs you can find don't have the same level you're trying to figure out it doesn't seem right at all. (I think it's near the end of the game, just before the straight room followed by the hourglass.) I've had the level clear of all but one yellow guy, I slip up once (mostly because the game decides I want to jump further than where I wanted, or not wall jump when I should) and there's more guys than when the level started before I can back to the spot that I think I might be able to beat it at. Really disappointed that I probably won't get this badge.

*runs through the first 3 levels* no probs man I got this *encounters a terrible jumping system and in need of timing* WHAT IS THIS SORCERY CHILD, I NEED VICTORY!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The badge shouldn't be a Medium badge, it should be an Annoying badge due to the extremely touchy jump system and pointless move and jump in place, move and jump in place requirement for completing levels. Thus, it's not a medium badge, but a tedious and annoying badge.
