The art is good, but I've found with Kongregate the best games don't have the best graphics, that's true with this one at least. 2/5

Ancient Fear is a bit too weak. Last Flake can beat him all alone. She can regenerate and hit him with about 80 damage every turn. And if she is wounded before fight Jake can finish her job. His skill to the left can sometimes deal even about 170 damage and it has only 1 turn cooldown.

Yet the single most overwhelming problem was that the entire challenge was based FAR too heavily on luck. I spent too many tries getting too unlucky to defeat the final boss that I didn't feel like I actually had any fun at the end. If you make more similar games, I STRONGLY suggest using fewer percentage-based statistics and more damage-and-armor-increases when upgrading. Looking forward to more of your games.

Not that I like to be the guy who's impossible to please, but for a fair critique... As a whole it was very unique. I've never seen a mouse-only RPG before, and the classes were all diverse enough to make it interesting. The upgrade system made sense, and the free re-specs put much-needed emphasis on builds for each fight, and the timing mechanic kept the somewhat-repetitive combat from getting boring. However, the grammar was noticeably bad, the story a bit blunt, my save files glitched a few times, the ending was miserably dissatisfying, and the introduction was missing entirely.

When the Librarian said he was a member of the Order of the Seal, for a second I thought he meant the marine mammal... :3

cheers to a really great game will look foward to seeing a sequel though my hopes will probably not last as it has allready been nearly 3 yrs since this came out though the style the chars lvl and the story line is well thought out for a small browser game its a briliant piece really :)

It sucks to get all the way to the last boss but have your characters health so low that you can't possibly beat the Ancient Fear.

How many perfect hits for the damn badge? I thought it said 1, your game isn't working. Just got the second 100% hit and yet still says I need 1.

Nice game, but like others said the needle lags. It took a bit longer than I expected to get the badge, but the game was still fun!

"Fommel: Trouble beating the last Boss on hard? Here is a pretty easy Way: Choose the Vampire max her ability to regenerate life (15% of max life each round). After that just put each and every single point into Life. you should have 200 life and 30 life regeneration each round."
Helped me sooooo much, thanks, easy battle with Flake, solo'd Boss xD When I was losing while using all characters before....So OP :D

I really like this game. It is really fun. I love the art work for the game and the difficulty of the game. I love way it is set up.

You really want to start final battle with Headhunter Jack and Last Flake fully healed. Last Flake will be able to beat Ancient Fear alone, but sometimes Jack will have to deal some damage quickly is Last Flake fails.

My only complaint is that you really need to maintain the balance. Non-healing characters always outshine its counterparts. Last Flake is particularly strong; huge lifesteal, huge regen, decent combo, and there's no need to waste turn for defensive stance. Additional informations like experience system (or even simply info on how it works, because I found it too random), allowing some grinding post final boss defeat, and additional superboss(es) certainly won't go unappreciated. 4/5 for now.

Good game. Simple, but fun to play. I can't stress enough how awesome it is to be able to instantly reset abilities for free. However, the targeting on this game was annoying at times. It relies too heavily on having a strong connection and decent computer, neither of which I have. Still, loved it. 5/5

Just read the comment about the scrollbar after I beat the game... certainly explains the strange dialogue from time to time. Kind of disappointing knowing that I didn't get to read everything in the first playthrough.

The first two chapters are nearly impossible on hard because the characters don't gain any HP between fights. It's SO much better once you get people to switch between.
