When on Mars you can fly 2500 whatever-unit-it-is upwards and at 2501 the game just quits. I wonder what's beyond … :-|

Info of ship does not reflect bonuses from achievements or miscellaneous parts. Also does not show separate stats for head and body. Please update so I know where I am at when I go to buy new stuff, or buy an upgrade!

I admit, I wasn't expecting much at first. But within 5 minutes of gameplay, I realized this game for what it was, a brilliant, exciting, and enlightening documentary on the North Korean Space Program.

Wheeeeee, off I go into space! Oh look, a speed gate, that'll help me on my way... why am I suddenly hurtling towards the ground?!!!
And why are all the aircraft magnetic?!!!

What's that, you flew a rocket 13 thousand feet into the air, blew it up, and killed everyone on board?! Let's see, that'll make you 98 dollars. Good job!

I've completed this game before, so I decided to use power-mode to push a helicopter into space. Hopefully this will reduce the air traffic for some of the newer players ;)

What I find incredibly annoying, and completely illogical, is how bumping into something makes me glue onto it and spin in circles. Shouldn't we just smack and back up or something?

The air vehicles are like, anchored down with dimensional anchors or something. When my rocket traveling at hyper speeds collides just very slightly with a much smaller object my rocket can get hooked into a 270 degree turn. That must be some super massive inter-dimensional anchors.

Hint: to get to 1200mph, select the lightest capsule and the strongest engines and hope for some luck. There is a lot of luck in this game.

Somehow im not convinced im making more money than losing by wasting so many rockets in an attempt to get loose change in the atmosphere...

Finally unlocked SPEED RACE IV (ie. reach vertical speed 1100). Here's what I used.
Head: Mark-V-AH,
Body: Mk-I-F,
Fins: Mk-V-A,
Engine: Mk-V-F,
Booster: Mk-V,
Equipment: Forsage engine & leave the other 10 slots empty (saves on weight).
After launch, I just mashed the booster, steer to avoid the obstacles and was able to hit a gate or two. On my second attempt on this strategy I got the achievement (and did it before hitting space). Hope this helps others & Good Luck!

What the hell kind of space is that, where you have to keep your rockets on to keep moving, and when they run out, you slow down?
Did somebody not pay attention in physics 101?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For missions, just use the original head and most powerful body you have for the cargo flights. You'll go down if you're body runs out of fuel on the later ones so concentrate on weight management for other stuff. Maneuverability not a problem since you go so slow so focus on weight and air resistance for fins and raw power for body/engines/boosters.
Vote up if this was helpful to you.

Last time I checked black holes were a rare occurrence in the cosmos. If not, they most certainly don't appear in bunches of three every ten feet.

@swiru: for the hard badge, you can simply buy off missions that are causing you trouble. They will count as being cleared (which is a shame kinda...)

Would love to be able to customize the paint job of my rocket, maybe even the shape and layout of certain parts and upgrades.

Really need a LOT more info through out the entire game, as in specifics, achievments, how many of what, how much weight will the decrease weight lower, ect ect

A few hints:
The most important piece of equipment you'll need to reach high altitudes (and earn tons of money) is the Radar-2.
You unlock it by hitting 80 friendly objects, so equip as many armored modules as you can and just bump into all those planes, helicopters and blimps.
You might want to get the Radar-1 (hit 30 friendlies to unlock) to find more targets.
When you've got the big Radar, steer for fuel tanks and gates to get as high as possible.
Ignore/Buy off the Cargo missions until you get much better engines, the stuff you're carrying in these is ridiculously heavy.
On the second one, a 200 Power engine won't even get you off the ground.
Once you get a certain distance into space, you'll notice there's no more gravity pulling you back, use that to your advantage by shutting off the engines and only accelerating occasionally to save fuel.
Keep aiming for fuel tanks and repairs when you need them, then you'll reach Mars eventually.

I found an exploit in-game, where you can infinitely stay "in-flight". If you manage to land the capsule on your detached boosters, it will not explode, and you can rock the capsule using side boosters. This allows you to keep on making money indefinitely by bypassing the 3 second check that will see if your rocket has stopped moving. With this exploit you can manage to get the duration achievements very early and make too much money too early in the game. Can you make it so that the capsule will explode upon contact with the base boosters?

Thank you for fixing the lag issue. Now... Into Space 3! Well I guess it will come after the next space exploration breakthrough.

Not a bad game. The one knock I have on it is the grind for money. The upgrades are seemingly impossible to get due to slow gains on money. Some of the upgrades do little for what you would expect for your money.

One of the big appealing factors of this game and its prequel is the fact that everything is hand-drawn. It just reminds me of how I'd draw stuff like rockets in my note-books during elementary school.

It's a fun game, but it just doesn't feel finished. The memory issue, obstacle placement and number...the game just needs the last 10% to be finished and it would be much more fun to play.

Amazing. You're shooting a rocket into friggin' space and apparently that doesn't warrant moving the annual blimp festival a couple miles!

Its almost like, Lunar Lander came into the future. Love the upgrades, and the money earning system. I don't think there is anything I can complain about with this game, fun and addictive!
