Loved it. Every challenge is thematically appropriate, the aesthetic is simple and pleasing (though momentarily I thought it was going to be an action game), and there was no pixel-clicking punishment.

It's beautiful and stylish, but it's not very fun to play. You have to do things in a sequence that don't always make sense, the puzzles are sometimes very easy, sometimes impossible to guess, and there's no consequence for failure. While it has enjoyable elements, overall I'd compare the experience of playing this game to that of talking to a ditzy, but pretty girl with a lot of makeup and a fur coat on. Sure, a lot of work went into it, and it's really nice to look at, but it'd be a lot nicer if there were some substance there too.

Truly a wonderful game. The art is magnificent, the gameplay is excellent, and is overall one of the best point-and-click games I have ever played.5/5

Very nice artistic game, but I'm left with an empty feeling at the end. The "victory" screen is not doing its job. Its only pointing me to other game sites, and not telling me that I've completed the game. Keep up the good work.

If only Hydra had a more creative solution than cut off it's head. Despite being counter productive. (What was the torch supposed to do?)

so it was based around mythology and you gave it your own twist, great, its unique, the gameplay was abit easy but all in all it was fun and great to look at, for those that are complaining about spelling mistakes, i don't think they were mistakes, it was loosely based around mythology but in the developers own way, kerberus and kyclops were clearly supposed to be spelt that way, my thoughts are the K's are a tribute to Kongregate, lol, 5/5.

"The God of War Ares will now always be your enemy"
Well, he didn't strike me down with lightning, so I guess I can live with that.

One word: Brilliant. I wasn't expecting much due to the description, but that was quickly overridden by the gameplay (Minotaurs Lair kept messing me up :3) Other than that, 5/5. Well done.

I don't understand why people always downrate negative comments. It's critisizm, without critisism the developer wouldn't know what to make better in their next game. Even if the person that commented complained about something that you think is not a problem, do not downrate! Some people like differently from you, and that isn't a bad thing.

Beautiful game. Very stylized and pleasing to the eye.
However, as a game, some of the puzzles were not very intuitive, and I solved them by clicking until something worked.
For example: I need money for Charon, why am I hunting for skull pieces? Oh, because money falls out of skulls... Wait, what?
I think this would work better as a visually appealing walkthrough of mythology, with some of the counter-intuitive puzzles removed, OR as a proper *game* with the problem-solving element beefed up.
Example: Targeting the eye would be enough in a walkthrough. It shows you know the myth. But as a puzzle... clicking on mushrooms doesn't make them grow. And even if you had a tall mushroom, you can't jump off it. (It would make just as much sense for there to be a helpful elephant that lifted you up.) That puzzle would need to be made more realistic and challenging if you wanted it to be a sensible problem solving task.

Great Game! I love Greek Mythology, and this was very accurate and artistically divine! Please make more Greek Mythology games!

Hepheastus is the god of craft and fire, that's why cyclops build stuff (remember tyson) great game, wish people would rate it better so it could have badges :)

I kinda found it a little easy - the things I had to click on were just too obvious, like no terrain around but a bush, so I clicked on it and complete the level.

Aphrodite bathing might be a reference to Aphrodite of Knidos.
Two quibbles: One, the random geography, and two, the pristine marble statues. They'd have been bronze, or painted. Only the Romans went for the polished look.

The art itself was pretty awesome and the references to Greek mythology were cool, but the gameplay itself was just too short and too easy.

Keep helmet. steal wife from Hades.
just as likely to work as Hades is likely to be able to be trusted, and gets you a nice hat.

Pretty sure the title of "The First Hero" belongs to Gilgamesh (pre 2500 BC) of Uruk vs Ancient Greece (around 800-600 BC). Still, fun clicking game.

Magnificent artwork, true to the theme. 5/5 for the sheer art and conceptualization. Puzzles were relatively easy, which is a big plus for lazy gamers as I am. Though I believe with the level of art involved, people wouldn't mind looking around with harder puzzles :) Can't wait to see more.

It's short, but the story and the artwork are nice. But 4/5 only, as it unfortunately lacks any incentive to play again and, honestly spoken, the riddles could be a bit more challenging - none took me more than a few seconds.

Great game, I just wished it ended with a short, written conclusion, it starts off well and has a gripping story, but when it ends simply with an ad, it just ends on a sour note, and feeling incomplete.

It's a nice Mix of Herakles and Odyssus but you coul have built in their Tricks, for example: When Odyssus is a prisoner of the Cyclops, he makes him blind an then gets away while holding onto a sheep. Anyway 5/5

I'm surprised you never had to fight Ares in this game... because at the beginning it said that Ares is your enemy now so I kinda expected him to be the final boss. Although your Greek knowledge is impressive. 4/5

Kongregate hosts way too many downvoters. If anyone wants to say something negative about a game, it's almost automatically given negative votes. If I wanted to say that the game is both short and simple as far as its puzzles go, I would honestly be expecting downvotes. I would literally have to include something like "nice artwork," or "well researched," or even "5/5" to completely avoid negative votes. In case anyone actually wants to know what I think of this game, I would give it a 4/5 for its art style, required background information, fluid animation, brevity, and generally simplistic puzzles.
