I love the game. Wish they'd lower the volume of the Bezerk Studios intro though, always blares out of my poor speakers!

I played this trough this game like 5 times now.
The first playtrough took me like 1 hour with lots of fails and stuff.
Now i just played it on lvl 1 completely on all bosses with no hits lol!
Love the soundtrack and lachh the Pirate^^

Tip: If you're missing the medal, "Get 50 dollars from Lachh the Pirate", here's how to do it: In the middle of a game, move your mouse off-screen and click, without bringing up the shop menu. There should be a blue pause menu. Then, wait until Lacch offers your some money, where you can then click back onscreen and get your $50.

If you're stuck, then get the latest two treasure upgrades. This means you have the max money. But don't upgrade the cannons until you're at the second boss! Otherwise you're gonna kill everyone too quickly and you won't get as many treasure chests.

You can actually buy the big flag twice if you have 4k and buy both at the same time. Makes the hard badge a lot easier.

Plan your upgrades wisely. Because your crew autofires, there is no way to slow down boss progression. I have seen people invest in damaging upgrades and then get pwned before/at the second boss. The treasure upgrade is a powerful upgrade, allowing you to earn more $$$, and at the same time, get money without having to put yourself in too much danger. The Cannon upgrades are useless unless you can upgrade to the triple-shot cannon (or better) in one purchase. Fire-rate is completely a waste of space since they hardly increase damage compared to the cannon. Speed, is the most important since the second boss will be quite hard and the third/fourth boss will be doomsday without it. Most people will only need 3-5 ship speed to keep ahead. Flags, are very useful when you need a cheap upgrade for multiple stats. Flags progressively get less useful as you build up 1000+ starting money with level 4 upgrades available. + this to keep it alive.

since i played bullet heaven this game is a bit easy......but ofcourse i love the game who doen't love pirates....arghhhhhh

TO GET THE 30,000 BADGE:
1. Get your starting gold to at least 2000.
2. At the beginning of every run, buy chest 4, level 2 ship, and chest 3.
3. Move your ship in circles around the screen, grabbing chests whenever they spawn and avoiding damage.
4. After the first boss, you should have enough to buy level 3 ship. Buy it, then go for sails 4.
5. Repeat step 3 until final boss. Make sure you have max ship by then.
6. At final boss, sell your chests. Then buy cannons 2, 3, and 4, and pirate flag 4. (you should already have sails 4)

2 Hours and 5 minutes later.. All achievements completed. Great job to the Developer. Achievements match up nicely, you realistically expect people to put no more than 2 hours into the game at one time (which is very realistic and honest of you), the gameplay is easy and fast. Very simple learning curve. Adding in the starting cash bonus was the (perfectly necessary) cherry on top. Bravo. 5/5

So I was really confused by crawl138's explanation of "Get free gold from Lach the pirate". What you need to do if click on another program so it auto-pauses (the normal pause won't do) and wait for the picture to slowly rise (it starts almost immediately and takes about 15 seconds). Once you get the offer of gold, click to resume and you've got the medal (and starting cash).

here is my way : first, buy the 1st ship upgrade, then, buy the 4th and 3rd loot and magnet, collect money till you can buy the 4th weapon and the 2nd ship upgrade, sell the 3rd loot and magnet and buy the 4th flag, and then continue till you can buy 4th fire rate and 3rd flag

if the kind of progression idea was put into a full-fledged 10+ hour experience game, It would be a snap-buy on the spot.
