Your "health bar" are the anchors in the top-left of the screen. Anchor pickups are extra lives. Boss health bars show up at the bottom of the screen

Erm, not to brag or something, but I just got a highscore of 84,253. I beat the final boss 5 or more times in one run, 2 hitless. I went from lv5 to max level... kinda proud of that :3 (but no achievement >_>)

I managed to encounter the final boss. I suddnely realized I was playing in small window mode, so I activated the cinematic mode... And my menu never disappeared. Though, I actually beat the last boss with the menu hiding half of the screen. There should be an achievement for that :(

Dragon, you want to delay bosses by killing as little enemies up until around the spread ships come, as it gets you more treasure, more gold. Also start with lvl 4 and lvl 3 loot, speed helps because it makes you get to chests faster and miss more shots early on.

Do you know how annoying it is when ur ship doesn't target the 2nd boss itself but decides to target the circle thingys that are a mile away?

Hard badge at last!
Tips:
the flags are the most powerful upgrades - more powerful than having level 4 of everything.
HOWEVER, for the hard badge it really helps if you start with the level 4 gold upgrade. Otherwise you have to stay alive for a lot longer in the end game after the last boss.
Before first boss
ship upgrade, lv 4 gold, lv 4 flag
Before second boss
Ship upgrade, lv 3 flag, lv 4 gun
Before last boss
Ship upgrade, sell gold, buy lv 1 & 2 flags.

But now he kills all sharks!!!!! That's not nice! Now he's a murderer and also the sea goes broke now, 'cause there are no sharks anymore and everything breaks and dies.

There's a glitch whenever you buy something from the shop. When you buy the level 4 loot, it shifts the cursor to level 4 flag, even if you already have one. Because of this, you can get 4 level 4 flags and a level 3 weapon to max out your ship.

So all the money I earned gets thrown away? And all the ships and junk I buy is lost? Meh...certainly unique, but I don't like it. Still a 3*.

that feeling of inner peace and satisfaction when I finally get the hard badge of a game I played for the first time SEVEN YEARS ago lol. I couldn't grow tired of playing it. :D

I beat this game years ago, but decided to play it again since it was had a badge for BotD. I've beaten the "Final" boss 5 times in a row without dying and now have over $50,000 saved up. I'm starting to hear the song "This Is the Song that Never Ends" playing in my mind along with the game's BGM, but with the lyrics "This is the game that never ends."

19.9k I went for chests at first, both +4 and +3 magnet for max + 4 ship speed. By last boss I had +4 weapon and then all four pirate flags. For max magnet/loot, max weapon and near max for other stats.
