Another thing is, why do I have to bring up the inventory to see the god damn map that (sort of) helps me see where I'm going? There's something called a minimap that's in most games nowadays which completely eliminates this problem.
I've played 2 or 3 hours of this game and I can't possibly play a minute more. It's completely boring and devoid of any fun whatsoever. The only good thing I can think of is that I kind of like the art style and some of the dialogue is somewhat witty. Considering that it's supposed to be an RPG, that's now a whole lot of things to keep the player interested in the game.
I could go on writing about this game's negative aspects, but I really don't feel like wasting anymore time on this game.
Truthfully I can't give this game more than a 2/5 and that's being VERY generous considering how irritating playing this game was.

2/5 stars, which is sad, this game has SO much potential. It's got an amazing old RPG feel, but could use a lot of tweaking to the level/exp when starting out. Seriously, 40 some spiders later and a few rat things and I still haven't leveled to 2??? Plus you need some shops, treasure chests, or having health/mana refill over time. A map would also be nice.

Loved the game years ago, love it now. But there is definitely a major flaw that there shouldn't be: the camera pan is slower than your walking speed. I often get hurt by enemies that come into view right as my character walks into them.

As soon as i started i entered the hut with 2 chests, I opened the left chest and the game froze on me.... I mean seriously a crappy game like this freezes. I was playing 8-BIT games over 30 years ago and i never had gaming problems.

Someone has probably pointed this out but... on your house the chimney is on the right side... over where your bed is, and the fireplace is on the left side. Can someone explain the reasoning of this or was it just a kind of hillarious error?

It's nice that they went for a retro feel to the game, but that's about all I found interesting. I didn't find the mindless grind of killing the same things repeatedly to be interesting.

Tip for exp farming: The jellies will continue dividing until there are four on the screen. If you move to a corner of the room where you can see only part of the jelly population, the jellies will start dividing again until you can see four in that corner. Tgis way you can kill more jellies at a time.

Game heavily inspired by legend of zelda with some classically annoying Castlevania Simon's Quest-style text boxes. Not a bad effort at all I like the game

Somebody's gonna tell me to get a life (but the crazy sword laser is worth it)

I went into the dungeon after going around in the graveyard fence square path thing and I completed it and got the life burst and xp but my xp went over and so I got one upgrade and exited out but now my xp is higher then the needed xp to level up and when I kill an enemy it subtracts the xp that I would have gained.

A good tip for in the beginning that I found to be helpful to grind was the slime room in the first boss lair. Each slime is 10xp and there are about 15 in there so that's a 150xp room and to top it off the slimes are easy to kill without taking damage.

The bestiary completed badge isn't showing up for me, even though I beat every palace, cave, and each level (four times) in the coliseum, and the boss. I made sure to get the bunny and butterfly as well.
