Skip the dash suit. It doesn't control well, has a tendency to activate when you don't want it to, and honestly, and there weren't any situations where I genuinely felt it was needed. Beyond that, however, I felt this was a really solid game. Not perfect, but a load better than most of the platform shooters Kongregate has to offer. 4/5.

Metroid!! :D
We've seen some good Mario- and Zelda-like games around here, it was time someone made a Metroid-like flash game. 5/5 Only one left is Castlevania for my Nintendo top 4: the best 4 NES games, who made it to about all the other Nintendo platforms. ;)

Clear unifying vision, coherent story, consistent gameplay, no weird bullshit.... This is a model of its type.
I regret that I have but one badge to earn for this game.

i would have much loved an option to stick around for the explosion, leaving no remanents of the virus to get back to humanity

Great game. However I experienced a reproducible bug: At the beginning of Crew Quarters you drop down and pass a door that does not open, but if you jump toward the door you can end up behind the scenery and unable to continue.

Great story, but the interface sucks. double jump very often doesn't work - just died in the acid because of this, Shooting only left or right - well this is a decsion which makes it similar to really old games like silk worm. It's ok, but there somehow is a feeling of inflexibility, stiffness?, like for example those indiana jones 3d games compared to lara croft, who was moving really smoothly.

Oh god...oh god...They've invaded my DREAMS! I murdered them in a game but...AHH! Great game, but now I'm scared out of my mind, and yes. I have, in fact, had dreams of The Yellow.

I really liked it! The game feels like a mix between Dead Space and the 2D Metroids, which are both some of my favourite games. I'd love to play a sequel of this one day!

Powered-armor space marines, space travel utilizing an alternate dimension which has the nasty side effect of turning men into grotesque monstrosities obsessed with the God of that realm and oddly out-of-sync with normal reality... Anyone else getting a Warhammer 40K "Warp" vibe?

really, really enjoyed playing this game. I usually hate the run+gun platformers, but this was well made and had a very enjoyable story. 5 stars, my friends.

So here I played this game again and I still find it excellent.
Really hard core story and graphics. (almost to hard for kids)
It is a bit to easy especially the end bosses.
The constant upgrades make you to strong.
Instead of getting Achievements for upgrades there should be badges for NOT upgrading and still winning.
I like the simple controls and firing.
The game plays like a short movie. Again, excellent work on the graphics.
Improvements aside from nerfing the gun and resistance could be stronger opponents that appear less frequent to give a deeper feeling of single opponent horror but also a few massive enemy swarms for the OMGWTF effect.
Gamers Tip: The Experimental Armor is not needed and only makes the game harder because the rush power will cause more trouble then it is worth.

Fun game until you die and have to go all the way back to the beginning. There is no point in fighting anything just try to run past as much as you can!

Did not die even once. This possibly is because I killed everything I saw which got me to quite a high level. I also got every pickup. the power ups are very strong.

I got vibes of Event Horizon, Aliens, and Dead Space as I played this. 5/5 great game with a good storyline, graphics, and dark setting. The twist ending especially, I realized it was sort of hinted at when that yellow thing in their world told Sergei to spread their message to everyone else.
Also, GET OUT OF MY REALITY YELLOW BASTARDS! GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!

Congratulations to the Dev. for allowing us the ability to unleash the 'wall of kill' that is the spread weapon with a high fire rate.

Good thing no one called Green Lantern to come and help. He would have been useless with all that yellow. Loved the game by the way!

"would make a decent movie" says one of the top commenters. This is almost exactly the same story as Event Horizon. Humanity creates a means of space transportation by moving through a separate dimension. The only real difference? Here, the antagonists are multiple creatures. In the movie, the antagonist is more demonic than the zombies/mutants in this game, and singular. Seriously. Same thing. However, you chose a good storyline to copy, and the game mechanics themselves are pretty good. 3/5

You can't be the hero at the end of the horror game, there has to be the scary ending where you get screwed; at least the interviewer would believe you then I guess...

Some constructive criticism: First this game doesn't really require the player to make any real 'choices' which is unusual for a modern game, just switching the lvl up process from automatic to manual would give ppl something to think about besides where to go next. I also found the boss fights to be a little too easy for my liking. That being said I did enjoy playing the game.

the story reminds me a lot of dead space except if you were a security guy instead of an engineer. It was an ok game but the arcadeyness of it really diminished the horror theme. I was about to give it a 3/5 for still being a solid game, then I got spread shot and the game became running around holding down spacebar being invincible which ruined the atmosphere even more. 2/5

Fun game so far but it really takes the horror feeling away when there is literally no downside to holding down the fire button. No reload, damage is pretty good, and the knockback prevents any real danger from reaching the player. It removed me from the whole psychological horror feel.

Event horizon was a horror theme movie that came out several years ago which was about......i wont ruin the movie if u r gonna watch it :-) a definite must watch if your a horror fan.

i like how this is kind of like metroid, but i was just running around randomly and felt i didnt explore some routes available, and still ended up at the boss. not sure if there actually were other routes or it just looked like that because it was so dark.

In the boss fight against the laser butterfly, the actual platform is much narrower than the visual graphical platform. This is a problem.

A great combination of the movies Alien, Event Horizon and Riddick. This could definitely have a medium badge for game completed.
