I loved the game, props to you :) Although the visuals of the game got to me at first, making me rethink about not playing this, the story itself was enough to make me continue playing till the end and I don't regret it. I feel like this game is somehow connected to us, like in the start how the world was grey, basically everything, a routine... and how it turned into that because we stopped imagining because that's what gives our world colours, our imagination but it seems like we stopped doing just that cause of how we accept the way the world is and that we don't even try to change it. Truly amazing this game.

The squirrel is in the forest maze, his picture is at the right exit, but he blends in with the forest so it can be hard to see.

Wait... Im a man, why the hell did I finish this game and have wet eyes? Incredible impact of the story, it is so true. The music was also awesome, graphics ridiculously elegant in it's simplicity, the story incredibly emotional (I screamed in my mind to let the bird go, not to give it to the lady - I guess I failed there as giving her the bird was the right thing to do :))... Probably the best game I have ever played on Kongregate. The rating should be high, high above 4.
As for the sequel, I agree with the author - while it is sad that this story ended, I don't think it should have a continuation. The story is told, the message given, it's purpose has been served. Just like a dream - it came, it went, and now all there is left is for us to remember it a have it change us a bit inside.

hhmmm.. nice drawing.. very talented creator but the game wasn't that interesting.. i was like reading a comic book and i begin to get my way to sleep.

I agree with superdupercat, many games nowadays are lacking a good plot except the occasional one that comes rarely, my favourite being starwish.

When speaking to the colour mice and asking them about 'more about the forest' one of my options is 'and what to you suggest'. I believe that it is supposed to be 'and what do you suggest'.

Duly noted. I will put up a new version, with all the typos corrected. There's so much text in there that I can't possibly proof-read it properly. More-so, I already know the text in my head, and so I tend to gloss over any mistakes. That's why I appreciate the help! i'll take a look at all the typos people find, and I'll correct them!

Honestly this game lacked focus. I found the style at the start interesting, then it changed. the plot went preachy and was never resolved. And very very soon I stopped caring about what all these random things had to say to me. the puzzles were either too simple or just random. etc etc. interesting, but not good.
All I can say is... it's dynamic. Had I focused solely on the "given" task, it would have turned out a cheap, but probably fun, adventure (something like a Drizzt adventure). But I chose to let the story evolve, and have the grey rainbow serve as a catalyst. but I never made it preachy or expository, I detest that.

This game is certainly not to everybody's taste, but it is exactly to my taste, so I gave it 5 stars. Getting it below 10 MB is nothing short of a miracle.

I love the humor of this game, the graphics are a little basic but everything else makes up for that and then some. Very calm in contrast to what violent games I normally play. Glad I found a peaceful game I liked.

Normally I like this kind of games. But I'm afraight I have to say that this one didn't catch my attention, at least not enough to read all these dialogues. I just made it to the mountain peak, then I lost interest in reading all this stuff and now I'm in the town with no idea what to do. And that's the end for me.

I loved the game, the artistry was great, and the storyline was wonderful. I give it a 5/5. However the storyline seemed to change after the Phoenix.... It went from "save this strange dreamworld" to "discover yourself." The gray rainbow problem was never solved, and it confused me. What was the point of the gray rainbow?
That's because it's not a quest game, that's just how it starts. Similar to 'quests' in life - you think you know what you want, but after you search for it and work for it, you realize that - something you actually need is very different.
