i enjoyed this game until it started to give the AI a huge blocking advantage. they block almost every time while i maybe block once even with 3 blocking cards. its extremely frustrating

Would there be a possibility of growing classes? I haven't even played yet but sorta like a evolving system? Like a warrior becoming more resistant to magic eventually evolves into a paladin or something.
There's no plan for any such system at the moment. In the meantime, you can 'grow' your characters into specialty classes by equipping themed gear; e.g. priests can become 'vampires' when they focus on draining attacks.

great game but in true adventure fashion could we have more option when choosing party members warrior, mage and cleric are awesome but i wish i had more choices sorry if i am being a pain beautiful game though
You're not being a pain! We may introduce more options in the future, but, in the meantime, rest assured that there's a LOT of choice within each class. Warriors can specialize in three or four different styles; wizards can deal damage or do crowd-control or anti-magic; priests have a popular build called 'vampire' that focuses on draining attacks... :)

This game is perfect for me :D! It is my FAVORITE CCG/Grid Strategy I have EVER played and I am happy that it is finally on Kongregate.

This game is simply Awesome. Really. I could just miss some classes or races but... I could not too :D One of the best game i've ever played. And the classic rpg looking design (and side story, with the GM, his brother and the pizza girl) makes it even more funny to play. What i can say... Thanks to let us play this game :)

I see this asked over and over. So, in case you're wondering: yes, at some point during the singleplayer campaign, you will be able to sell equipment you don't want/need.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It would be better if we could sell any items because those items are useless and it would be better if I could make money out of them. :D

Now I'm craving to play RPG and for tofu pizza with pineapples! I'm becoming a club member right now. This game really captures the awesomeness of playing table RPG.

I don't understand why in multiplayer you have to wait while your opponent chooses cards to discard at the end of a round or cards to use at the start of a tournament, wouldn't it be far more time effective?
Good news: You can! Just not yet. Also seemingly useless items can often come in handy later, so make sure you really don't want something before you sell it.

They should put a few more tags on this. It's way too awesome to be stuck with all those stupid pay to win ccg's made from the same dumb cut out. This should be front page stuff right here.

There is an incredible amount of lag for a single-player, turn based game with no 3 dimensional graphic. Sometimes it just hangs for 10 seconds or more. Seems to get worse the longer the game is running.
Can do! Later in the game we unlock a series of shops where you can sell excess equipment. You'll want to make sure that you absolutely don't want something before selling it though - lots of equipment seems useless until you find yourself in just the right situation. In fact, we used to allow you to sell equipment right from the start of the game, but too many players sold items that they'd later want to use and dug themselves into a bit of a hole.

My only complaint is the lack of alternate races and classes (and i wouldn't actually mind paying real money for them) where are the Orcs? The Rouges? Ranger? Drow? Dragon! fun game tides me over tilli can find an actual game
That's a fine question! Have you attempted the Mauve Manticore adventures yet? These let you play as all kinds of different creatures. You can also build your own scenarios using different creatures through the scenario editor (hidden under the custom game menu under Casual Game in multiplayer), and find more player-built scenarios shared in the forum here:

I like the way the dev parody role playing games in this card game " for level 18-22" make me laugh Two minute after starting the game ! Good job devs ! XD

I've been a long time player on the main site, and had absolutely no problem being a 100% free player. The extras are nice, but I never felt seriously excluded. In fact, all of the cool events are free or very cheap (using in game currency, not real world $!)

The TOS is pretty much standard for all other games and services. Things like getting extra items are just that. They're extra. All games have ways for players to pay for extra cards, items, etc. You can play the game just fine without the bonus items. Changing your appearance is a "nice to have". It's a game. I'm not obsessed with how my characters look and complaining about paying for changing your character's appearance is kinda petty.
My one gripe would be they need female characters available for each class/race combination. They are basically excluding over half the potential demographics for this type of game.
We've gotten this suggestion multiple times -- at the moment, to have binary gender options for each class/race combination you need the figures included in the Basic Edition. (Otherwise characters are shoehorned into one identity or the other.) Thanks for your feedback!
You can connect to your existing Card Hunter account when you first log in via Kongregate. If you accidentally create a new Card Hunter account instead let us know (support@cardhunter.com) and we'll fix it for you.

Pretty fun but there's sooo much microtransaction begging.
Pay to open this dungeon, pay to get this chest, pay to change your appearance, pay a monthly fee to keep more random items.
It was the monthly fee that boggled my mind. A (small) one of fee I wouldn't have minded, and would've gladly done as a tip of the cap to this otherwise excellent game. But there is way too much money being asked for and way too often.
Hi psychocamel, thanks for your thoughts. Gary explains what can be bought over the course of the first few campaign levels—all accompanied by free 'pizza' so you don't actually have to spend any cash to get the sample good in question. Your first chest, paid adventure, figure, multiplayer party, etc., are all free! And after these tutorials, there are NO requests for money, as far as I know. Gary never mentions pizza in a context where he's not giving you some to spend. We want to teach our players where they CAN spend money if they want, but it's by no means a necessity and we don't intend to be intrusive with it. I hope this explanation eases your mind :) Have a great day!

Just because it's an old game doesn't mean that it is a poorly made one. I remember playing this a fair while back, and always liked the design of it, just stopped playing for a while. It is definately worth the time.
Also complaining about the fact "Don't use our program to break the law" is the dumbest thing I've heard of.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The line in your TOS about any state, national, or international law is ridiculous. I know its also in bulletin board TOS statements, but there is no way the average user is informed about what that line involves. Bye.

This game reminds me so much of the old days of tabletop Dungeons and Dragon matches. I really love how this game's set up, it just plays so well with some humor mixed in as well. A geek's haven.
