Since I beat the game with both endings I can give a more concise review. To be blunt, I freaking love this game. The controls are smooth, and easy to remember. The speed of the character is nice, not too fast or too slow. The graphics are bright and colorful, which is nice. Even in dark areas I know what I'm looking at. The music is something else, it adds emotion to scenes and areas. I've even had one track stuck in my head because I liked it so much. I want to give you a personal thank you for adding backtracking in. It's something I miss in platformers. I love being able to revisit levels that I liked, and having to problem solve.

Nevermind, I figured it out. There is an upgrade for the quills, but the glyph at the walls was the red one, and not yellow like the upgraded quill. That could possibly be confusing.

Is there a walkthrough anywhere? Because I'm not 100% sure there is a glitch in the game or not. I have all the upgrades but I can't seem to shoot down some of the walls that require the spike upgrade to be shot down. Am I missing something?

In response to my own previous comment, just hurry and get the dash upgrade. I didn't think to try reproducing it until after I had gotten the last ability, and was unable to re-enter the wall a second time. If you get stuck in a similar manner while playing, just use the "Save and Quit" function, you lose absolutely nothing except your current position since it puts you back under the escape pod

Moving platform handling could use a boost. On a platform rising up that was right up against a wall beside it, i was moving right while the platform was going up and got stuck INSIDE the wall. I thought it was purposeful for a moment because I could still move around inside it and jump up and use glide. In actuality, you have lovely handling for spaces between wall collision physics. Seal off the walls more thoroughly though.

YAY! 1.6.5 is now up. You asked, I listened! The final boss fight is easier, revive posts now heal you (though there are now less of them!), and there's a brand new visual map! I've also fixed lots of bugs.

Loved it, I was ar first seeing just a normal game, but it quickly became more of a book for me, where my main focus wasn't upgraded (like I do in most platformers) but instead I focused greatly upon finding the memory tidbits, which helped moved the whole game along beautifully. Thanks for creating it, and kudos for doing it such a short manner of time!

you need to put an skip button on the conversation balloon with the human. i pressed that one again and it takes for ages to read again..

So, I did both endings. And I'm left with a feeling of non-conclusion. Like I'm missing the last chapter of a book. I don't get it.

As i expected, behind the title screen was a 5 Star Game. But, needs a Walktrough, i dont know where the Green(2) and Red(4) Gems are...

When I saw the title I was like "OMG, this is going to be legen - Wait for it" but after playing the game I realized that the "-dary" would never come. I was waiting for a real Kalevala-based game but this was... REALLY something else. As a Finnish person I feel utterly cheated.

draken, i had the same issue, but then i gone to one crystal and it wasn't glowing, i activated it three times and the door opened, and thunder there are three crystal podiums, press N to find the last one

I love the game! Very beautiful and well planned. And yes, I did experience some bugs. that black screen, and the ship that wants to terminate me. The black screen stoped when I learned to run, but the ship, I think time just took care of it. But yes I really do enjoy this game, thank you for making it!! =)

Great game. But the character count for comments sucks. Thank goodenss for the shoutboard. Long story short: few flaws, plenty to love. A nice piece of modern retro showing good care taken to aesthetics and plotlining. I am glad to have played this.

There seems to be a bug with the yellow energy field - the game somehow glitched and it remained 3 blocks away from me no matter where I ran and I was able to get to the crystal podium without sprinting (it disappeared after I died).

Well, figured out why I was stuck...turns out you have to examine the final boss by pressing up in order to fight it...silly me.

Great game, nice atmosphere with the light and dark, and I hate to complain but... I managed to sequence break a bit at the yellow forcefield. I walked into it without the run ability and I went through it and the forcefield sort of 'stuck' in place on the screen. And before that I had activated a crystal before the game telling me to. not a problem really but it messed with my ping a bit and I had to follow it and do everything again so that it started showing me my current objective.

I would like something rather in-game or in the main manu that lets you see all the mourmys you have collected so you can look at them without having to go back to every single one

great game, beat it once, now im going again hoping to find that 30th memory and find the three songs i missed, any hints would be appriciated, getting a 5 star rating from me.

I've found a bug where if you use the spike attack(i used the upgraded) on the yellow force field near a podium, it starts following the screen(you can thus use the podium without the run skill).

glitch* when u get double jump run all the way up the mountain (daed end) but part of land gone funny actually also it unlocks a fun fact in game.

theblade180: Lol, I thought the same thing til I realized that those two bars aren't a pause button, but your life bars. Get hit by something and see. :D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Aha, I didn't figure it out at first, but at the bomb ship battle you're wearing the forcefield you get from running, so of course you knock his bombs back. Use this to knock his bombs into himself.

theblade180: Press P to pause. Or just click outside of the game window, it will detect that and pause automatically. You can also pause the game by pressing the settings wrench (in the lower left corner). You'll also find a way to mute the music and sound by clicking on the music/sound icons respectively.

Whoever said the controls aren't smooth is dead wrong - to the contrary, the controls are one of the highlights of the game. Not being able to jump and shoot is frustrating, though.
