If it wasn't for the crystals bugging out and having to play through twice to see the end, 5 stars. Instead, 4 stars.

This is a great game. Took almost 2h to get the good ending and find every single thing in it but it was worth it - nothing is too hidden, and the progression feels natural. I actually learned afterwards that the map indicates which part of the world you need to go to next, and can also show you an arrow telling you where it is in the world. Might help for those who are getting desperate for one item but overall it's more fun without!

Great game!
Completed it with both endings.
The "back to beginning" button was a big help in order to get the missing gems and memories.
There are still some parts of the background story I don't understand.

I can't defeat the temple guardian. I made the bombs touch him on vevery possible place but he won't feel anyhing. Is there any way to ge him down???

"Fun fact: A number of people asked what exactly is the thing you control. The only answer I could come up with is a purple metallic pterodactylgreyhound mix." That has got to be the funniest thing in this game.

Non-humanoid protagonist - You don't get to see this much, but it's really refreshing when you do. This title really recreates a lovely retro feel in its artwork and gameplay 5/5

Great game. A bit tricky at parts, but definitely doable. Love the music, especially in the place with the glider power with the entrance to the emerald song. 5/5.

@blanketyblank: I just happened to be revisiting this game today. You can dodge the flame pillars with a double jump. And when you see three bombs at once just pick one to focus on. When one hits the boss the other two disappear.
And for what it is worth I meant that the boss was easy with a bit of practice. It managed to kill me twice this playthrough, but back when I wrote my other comment I was able to kill it without taking damage. If you can get good and bouncing bombs you have the battle made.

Well, I'm not sure what game mixt was playing that s/he thought the final boss was so easy. I keep getting three bombs at a time, mostly all in front of me and there's no way to jump over the fires they leave behind. If it was one bomb at a time, I might have a chance, but it looks like I'm just not going to be able to finish the game as it is. Very sad.

This was a very well done and well put together game. It's also one of the first explorative/Metroid type games I finished by myself without help, which sadly is rare with my mind. The story was really well done and fun to follow as well as interesting to listen to. Don't know if the game has yet to continue but I would definitely check it out if it has.

I'm just sitting at the farthest upper right room of the map, and there's a spiky looking ship floating above me. What do I do??? I can't leave on either side of the room.

THE best sidescroller on Kongregate and easily the most underrated game. This is a masterpiece that can be held up side by side with the all time best classic side scrollers that we all grew up with in some ways it even surpasses them.

I found another secret! When you beat the first boss,go to the last energy field, then go up to the top and go trough the wall!

When you're in the level full of mines. When you get the double jump and get up with the energy field jump on the little floating island and enjoy! :D

One of the better "Free" Metroidvanias that I have ever played. The story was good and so were the graphics. The music didn't really set the mood too well as it seemed that it didn't matter what music played where as they all sounded the same to me. The biggest gripe I have is the controls however, and jumping is the big one. Might I suggest you either 1) Change double jumping (DJ) so that we can DJ after a glide. I can't tell you how many times I meant to DJ, but glide by mistake. Just a small fix like that could greatly improve the controls. Overall I say it gets a 4/5.

So, this frustrated me for a while; but, you CAN get back to the main area after beating the final boss (to get the rest of the songs). To get through the section with ups and downs and lava, you have to jump right before entering the first down field, then you hit yourself on the spike enemy and can glide through the rest of it.
It's harder than it sounds, though.

Hello, just for say how I love your game ! Ans just one question, when you update this ? Because in "worldly rumination" there's a door you can open when the expansion will be made ? This game is a gem !

his game is amazing. It actually somehow captures and conveys emotions, like melancholy, bittersweetness, curiosity, isolation, anticipation, and a little regret.
for me it really just screams "retro". I wasn't even a part of the generation who played games like this, but it still manages to bring out a sense of nostalgia.
This game is a masterpiece in it's own right, and just.. just <3
waaahhhh I dunno if it just hits a chord with me or if everyone else is feeling these things in the game too. ;n;

Finally, a platformer with challenge. I used to love Mario, but now it seems second class: the graphics, the music, the storyline... all of it is uncompared to any platformer ive played before. All I need to do is get the "good" ending, and then I will have beat it, but i have a feeling im going to come back to this game long after that.
