The only way your engine shuts down is when you fly up in a 160-180 degree(Almost fly straight to the sky). You will lose control of your plane and dive directly to the ground. My advice when flying up straight is to be above 1000 feet because i tested and you lose control of your plane about 900-1000 feet down when you will have control again of your plane. Also when you lost control of your plane and have control again but almost hit the ground use the throttle to fly up with the right arrow to avoid being pancake to the ground. Rate this up if it help you if not rate it down.

this game is good but it really need a pause button and sometime when im flying the engine out of nowhere turns off and i end up crashing it its frustrating having to start over a mission so im gonna say 3/5

goddammit....I just can't get past lvl 3.....I keep stalling and plunging into the sea, and whatever I do, it keeps happening.....what am I not getting here?

good game, horrible lag makes it piss me off... add a quality button for those of us who have a crappy computer. also a way to tell if you're about to stall... and a pause button...

Stop complaining all the time about pause button checkpoints--blah, blah, blah. You who do that should realize that in real life these renowned men of history did not get a second chance, so it is totally suitable that the player should have to complete the mission without dying--because it is mimicking reality. You have to experience to a small degree the pressure and high risk involved in being an RAF pilot in WWII guys. Don't mean to be rude here, just trying to make a reasonable point.

aircraftcarrier or a normal landing strip.3 more missions, i know the missions are sometimes

Don't worry about friendly planes. They are invincible unless the pilot is supposed to be shot down. In such case You CAN'T save him. Don't follow the plane on Paszkiewicz tail until Paszkiewicz is down and You (Zumbach) say You'll send some bloody Germans after him. You can destroy other planes in a meantime.
Not covering Krasnodebski doesn't spoil the mission.
Don't try turning back downwards when below 600 ft. If below 800 ft avoid using extre throttle in such manouver.
If You can't shake enemy from Your tail dive nearly to the ground or fly in a direction of friendly planes.

Tricks:
Don't fly directly up for a long time - You'll stall. Try flying with angel of some 45-50 degrees.
When dogfighting, fly nearly to the ground. Below 800 ft AI planes just pull up at a safe angel and low speed. They are sitting ducks then.
Don't fly above bomber or in front of it - they have heavy fire.
when expecting next wave of enemy planes keep as close to the ground as possible. Their hight of appearance is relative to Your height so they'll be easy to shot down. One bomber can even crash himself.
When following enemy plane don't shoot until You're very close. Unless it isn't attaced by Your colleages it won't notice You and fly in straight line or follow any plain it attacks.

Achievements (in order of presentation):
For first 3 medals just shot down 5 (Ace), 25 (Veteran) and 50 (Legendary) enemies.
Shot down 5 enemies on parachutes (Mercy is for the weak).
Follow Krasnodebski to the ground in mission 2 (Guardian Angel)
Hit the ground (Pancake).
Stall and level Your flight again (Recovery position)
Fly below line of 25 feet for 10 seconds (Under the radar)
Follow bomber You shot down until it hits ground or sea (Confirmed kill)
Last 5 medals are for finishing missions.

In mission 4 follow Urbanowicz (listen to his commands). Keep destroying enemies and when bombers join in remember to shot them down before they leave mission area. Again, top two planes will be bombers. Don't let enemy shot You down. Finishing this mission unlocks Spitfire
In mission 5 stay low when approaching gunship and gun emplacements. Fly so low that Your shots hit the enemy objects. If You don't destroy some in a first flight over keep flying for some time to avoid a-a fire and only then turn, flying low again. Finishing this mission unlocks P-51 Mustang.

Some tips and tricks for anyone having problems in campaign:
Tips.
In 1 mission follow Kellets commands until there is no response about enemy plane. Then shot down th enemy ignoring Kellets warnings.
In 2 mission cover Krasnodebski on a parachute, later simply destroy any enemy that appears.
In mission 3 destroy bombers and fly in a direction of Kent and Ferić. New enemy planes will appear. Keep destroying them. If there is a break after a wave of figters fly in direction of Zumbach - an enemy on his tail will apear. When second wave of bombers comes remember bombers are the highest two planes and You have to shot them down before they leave mission area.
When You're warned about a plane on Your tail just don't let him shot You down. After it's down simply destroy rest of enemy fighters.

This is a fun game and I enjoy the historical aspects. But the missions are just too long, both for history and for playability.
Actual Battle of Britain fights were quite short; a squadron come apart in combat within a minute or two and head for home in small groups. They very rarely reformed and reengaged. In this game, the missions last forever and you have to restart if you fail even at the very end. Break them into smaller missions.
