Things to know: … Number of Survivors (including you) allowed at the camp: 7, …Computer Survivors can only shoot straight or what in front of him/her and will not shoot anything that is not in front of him/her … The more Survivors at the camp, the less time you need to fix the camp… the aiming system in this game is not that great… if you retry/restart the same level in which you die, click out your weapon and put your weapon on again even it the same weapon or else you will not able to shoot (I think this is a real bug/glitch) you can move but not shoot… The computer survivor will not and cannot change their weapons even if you found better weapon

if you rev you chainsaw for a couple of seconds, then switch back and for between your chainsaw and gun (any gun) enough, that gun gets 99 ROUNDS! Plus this to have more ammo!

Right on day 20, my main character got stuck in the bottom right corner and could not move up to shoot the zombies that are attacking the uppermost part of the barricade. If the dev is reading this, please look into this problem.

If you cant beat the hard achievement, here's some help
1. Use ur points to heal your baracade to about 85% Don't waste your points pass that because u usually don't need it full health
2. spend almost all of your points on finding guns- so you keep getting better ones so you can do more head shots per game.
3. You really only need 2-3 survivors, so once u have 2-3 survivors then use your points on finding guns.
4.KEEP GETTING HEAD SHOTS, Achievment complete

The 99 glitch of reloading the chainsaw works on all ammo types, say you are shooting the ump, hit space to switch to shotgun while shooting, then actually switch to shotgun and you have 25 bullets. Really helps while you wait to get the chainsaw

A more exact explanation of the chainsaw glitch is this: When you try and switch weapons while using the chainsaw you switch ammo but the weapon itself doesn't change. When you run out of that ammo you reload it with 99 ammo if it were a chainsaw. While this is useful for most weapons it's really good for the rifle. The rifle only has one ammo so it shouldn't need time between shots. When it has more ammo however it works like an automatic.

finally i can do the chainsaw glitch! use chainsaw as your primary weapon and any weapon (preferably the one with low ammo, like hunting rifle) as your secondary weapon. left click (use chainsaw) and hold it, then press (not hold) space while holding your left click. your 'ammo' should change to 0 (if it doesn't, press space till it does). after that, release your left click and press space 2x (or press it until you change your weapon) to change to your secondary weapon. your secondary weapon's ammo should be 99 now. i know this has been told before, but i just want to give a more detailed instruction :)

I died because i assumed my incompetent allies could kill 1 zombie. Instead, that zombie took away 20% of the wall and scared them away!

However, nothing beats the Barrett. It's such a shame that I can obtain it only for the last two or three days - it's an interesting sight how half the screen dies from one shot. I didn't take screenshots, but it's typical that when I use any weapon (other than Barrett), the destroyed enemies always lie very near to the barricade. With Barrett, almost all of them lies in the first third of the area.

Just came back to play the classic after the epic part 3 came out. The 99 ammo trick can be done with any weapon, so once you have the chainsaw just use it with the shotgun or sawed-off until you get the hunting rifle. Happy zombie blasting

Whenever the zombie apocalypse does come, make sure you have a chainsaw and hunting rifle handy and be sure to have practiced the "chainsaw/hunting rifle switch" and watch as countless zombies fall before your wake.

Tip: on the first night try to keep as much health as you can then search only for survivors, you should end up with two.. after the second night you can then be able to repair the barricade by 15% rather than the pityful 5% which is a massive help, use as many repairs as you need to then search for survivors and weapons..

When I die and attmept to retry, I can't shoot. Neither can my survivors, so I end up getting eaten anyway. Can you fix that please?

Freakin hell!!! Barret is a monster!!! It hits 3 zombies at the same time with one shot power!!! Got 3 headshot at 3 army zombies!!! Its the last weapon after AK-47 just search again until you get it and then say goodbye to difficulty!!!

Found a glitch. If you die and wait a while while the zombies eat you, then retry, you're controlling your dead body during the next fight. And you can't shoot.

I used the glitch, the hunter rifle and the Berreta and got the 500 head shot badge. Hint: To kill soldiers with Berreta, aim for their chin. You have got a 3 out of 5 chance of remaking that guy's brain.

Note: It seems that you don't lose survivors, at all, so long as you devote about 4hrs per night to searching for survivors even if there's no vacancy.
Played through once and died a bunch to get the headshots for the hard badge, went the whole game and barely lost any survivors except when I spent no time looking for them. And am over half way through getting the medium badge in a new game and only lost one when I spent all my time in weapon searching and repair.
Should almost be calling looking out for survivors ;)
